mamabear B took longer than C to master #2. He would ask for a pull-up and go off by himself whenever he needed to have a BM. So we knew he understood the urge, etc. Do you feel like A understands all that yet? Since B was clearly aware and was just anti-toilet for whatever reason, we followed the John Rosemond method, which may seem kind of harsh but was very effective. One night when B asked for a pull-up (so we knew he *had* to go), we put him in the bathroom solo, and DH sat outside the bathroom with a baby gate between them. We told B no more pull-ups, he needed to go #2 in the potty before he could come out of the bathroom. He cried about it for maybe a minute, then sat down on the toilet, pooped, and that was that. Never had an issue again.

Oh my gosh, kim22, so sorry to read that update. Sounds incredibly sad and stressful. Will keep your family in my prayers. Wow klong11, what a crazy thing. Glad they caught it and hopefully all tests will come back ok. |

I took the kids to the zoo today. They had a lot of fun and did great wearing their masks the whole time. It wasn’t too busy and a one way path the whole way through which was nice.
All 3 slept most of the way home and now N and H are at camp and Dh is at a meeting. Going to head out on walk with L now.

Thanks for the input ladies! I’ll keep the white. I guess I just wanted those to be updated since everything else is so #new and updated. I’ll focus my energy on finding new hardware if I can ever get to the hardware store. I would still get new white ones. They get grimy and you might find ones with a nicer edge or finish or something. I am thinking about it, but if I do it I feel like I need to do the whole house. I love the new styles they have that just look cleaner. I have some other projects that trump whole house new socket plates unfortunately. |

kim22 Oh my. I’m sorry everyone seems to be having it so rough lately. Hope your ILs recover well and no one else gets it. Also hope your Dd is ok. Did you ever get the upper GI scheduled. I completely forgot to ask at work the other day when we were slammed. So sorry! I will ask tomorrow.

Its been a day. Mj woke up super early. The boys had swim lessons at my neighbors pool. I got super sunburnt.. then the boys were wild. Mj skipped a nap and was grouchy. I had to pass them to my mom though for a pto zoom meeting. Then dinner was a fiasco. Our school released their online plan. It looks pretty good to me. I'm waiting until the last second to decide. I want to see what the state looks like then. I'm almost certain Dewine is about to shut us down again.

mamabear We have the same kid kinda. M was so much easier to PT than M2. He is one of those kids that just doesn’t care. He will wet himself and give no Fs. He has only recently started to improve a bit. We have to keep telling him to go because if we don’t, he will wet himself. I was sure poop on the potty would never happen. We even tried his “currency”- candy. He would say- I go poop on the potty and get M&Ms. He would sit and nothing. 15 minutes later- it was in his undies/pull-up. 🤦🏽♀️ I kinda just gave up trying and hoped that he would do all his poops after bath when we put his pull-up on for bedtime. Last week he said it again- poop and get candy- and I just said ok while not believing him and he did it! I danced and made it rain M&Ms. the next couple of days he did it again and I thought this was it. Nope. This weekend he only got it in the toilet about half the time. It’s SLOW progress, but we are getting there. My SIL dealt with my niece and fear of pooping on the potty and deals with ALOT of constipation that I think has a lot to do from holding it in. At M2’s 3 year check up, the pedi asked how PT was going and I told her and she said just watch out for constipation because she sees it a lot once PT starts. Told me to just mix a fourth of a cap of miralax with juice if I suspect an issue. I did twice and he went with it a couple hours. If you think that could be the problem if she says it hurts, maybe worth a try? Sorry that was long and all over the place. I am right there with you though.

@ladeedah, not the first time we've had something in common, although my brain can't recall any other examples right now lol. Thanks for the commiseration. She's definitely not constipated. I was trying to track her to see if I could find a time where we could be sure to have some luck. But she's all over the place. Gotcha. As soon as I resigned myself that I couldn’t stress about it- he is 3 and he will get there, a week or so went by and it happened. It could have been that every time he pooped in his undies, Mh and M2 would chant “poo-poo, potty, poop goes in the potty”. 😂 |

I was in the shower when M2 starts banging on the door and asking me to open the door. I told him I would when I get out of the shower. When I opened the door this was waiting for me. He could have just asked his dad to cut the mango for him. 🤦🏽♀️  |

mamabear Ds had the same strategy flamingo’s B had, ask for a diaper and walk away. He was like clockwork and would go after his bath every single time, we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, so we let him dictate the pace. I think he was 4.5 or something before he finally started to use the toilet.
