So my bosses aren't listening to my opinions on the storage situation and I've thrown my hands up and given it to them at this point. They don't want me putting our keep boxes from off-site downstairs in the basement because they are selling the building. Ok, but not tomorrow, right? And we need to be cleared out of the storage by the end of the month and I can't have the junkers come in to get the trash boxes until the keep boxes are out. So what do they want to do? They want to get a different storage unit.
WTF? That defeats the g.d. purpose of this entire clean out!
I told them fine, but they need to fine a new unit in the next couple of days so we can just move them from one location to the other.
This is such b.s.

What a day this has been already. I got up at 4:30 to run. Glad I got that done.
H send me a text that someone he works with tested positive. I asked him if it was someone he had been exposed to (he works for a BIG company, hundreds of people, multiple buildings) and he has, multiple times. The guy was sick last Friday and H talked to him multiple times that day. The guy came back Monday, still sick, company sent him home and told him to get tested. Test results finally returned yesterday. H was told this morning (he wasn't in the shop yesterday afternoon when they found out). His company isn't asking people to self quarantine, no shut down for cleaning, nothing. H is furious.
As am I. I wouldn't have gone into work this week, dropping Evie with grandparents daily. I've talked to all the grandparents to make them aware.
My boss told me to stay home next week. While talking to her, I got an email from our Ops Manager asking if I had a case to go back to WFH FT. Well, I do! Besides this bullshit that could have been avoided, not knowing what's going on with school for the fall. So I've been told to WFH until the situation improves, I feel more comfortable, or our owners tell us otherwise.

Damn mwhip! Is your H home quarantining? Since he had direct exposure he should be and his company needs to pay sick time per the CARES Act. I’m shocked they aren’t cleaning. I hope you guys stay healthy  |

We have neighborhood friends we love and have seen on occasion because they're over cautious about COVID too. The kids and I are going over there today so they can play outside while the mom and I drink wine and play Rummikub, our favorite game!

Ugh. S has been doing ‘camp’ with his BFF this week (basically switching which house they are at for the day). He was supposed to go there today and I had the cleaning lady coming for the first time in 4 + months so I had to clear out of the house early. We dropped B at school and decided to stop at target before going there (it was still like 8:30 am. We got there and he wasn’t feeling great. Long story short, he puked all over himself in the parking lot. Cleaning him up as best I could and got home where he did it again
I know the chances of this being anything are slim but I am freaking out.
Also they cleaning people are in our house so we are stuck sitting on e front porch.
He’s perked up a bit and I gave him some zofran just to be safe. But ... I’m scared.

H's company isn't requesting anyone to self quarantine, so if he chose to, they would probably ask him to use PTO. And he does have the time, his company should really say people HAVE to, and pay them for it. I checked KCMO's health department website and I can't find anything that mandates what private companies should do. Which is super annoying.
I don't know about him getting tested. He was so annoyed earlier, we didn't talk about it.

mwhip Shit, I'm sorry! Someone at MH's work tested positive. They made everyone go get tested and were not allowed to return back until they had negative results. 3 other people tested positive. They hired a company to come disinfect the office.

klong11 what a bitch! Yes I did text the neighbors to tell them and to let them know we would not be coming. They said everything's fine. We are inside now and he is watching the tablet. He said he's feeling better but he still hasn't eaten anything so we shall see. I have such vomit anxiety to begin with, so I am really hoping he's done and no one else gets it, or that it was something he ate.

H woke me up 5 times last night. This morning he is a snotty mess. I cannot say for sure it is from surgery yesterday. The snot looks pretty gross. MH took a vacation day today and I told him he should keep H home. I realize this ruins his vacation day, but I can't send him to daycare like that. We got in a huge fight. Apparently I'm overreacting. Ummmm, no. I realize his covid test Monday was negative however if one of the teachers catches a cold, they have to stay home and possibly get tested.
This is a different time, dude. Why can't you see that?
