Looooonng day here. We did a little more organizing and purging. Kids played legos most of the day and watched a lot of a YouTube channel called Crash Course Kids. I learned a lot.

Great news inthekitty. Why are they waiting til August? Our cases have never stopped increasing, so it was dumb we went back at all, but when your headquarters are in Syracuse, NY, they dont give a shit about KS. |

I'm also wondering about you Sunny41. I see you on FB but I miss you here girl. Thanks for the shout out. Tapa has been a bitch so many times I logged in that I'd given up. But just PM the other day lurked here and was hoping to post this weekend. We're in quarantine survival mode. Still no plan and it won't matter until 3 weeks from now what we choose anyways. We are probably both wfh but we need other people! What I really want is to rent a house in Hawaii for a month or so and virtual teach and work from there (mh would stay home ). Or the Caribbean but that would be hurricane season. Or n13 house would work too.  |

Oh my gosh guys, my coworker let me know they had a meeting today and we're going back to telework in August! I'm so thrilled. I don't think it's permanent but I'll take it for now. It's much needed as our installation apparently has twice the Rona rate as the rest of the state. A neighbor just said there was a party in base last weekend and almost everyone tested positive |

Great news inthekitty. Why are they waiting til August? Our cases have never stopped increasing, so it was dumb we went back at all, but when your headquarters are in Syracuse, NY, they dont give a shit about KS. I have no clue about August. Especially since cases are really on the rise here. But why does the government do half the shit it does? I have a feeling as a DoD employee some of the pressure to return to the office so soon was some Dump BS. All the departments in the hospital are doing their own thing (with the pressure being on getting back to the hospital) and for some reason we were some of the first to go back. It's frustrating to hear stories of work places across the country where little logic and planning has gone into managing Rona. Arbitrary returns to the office putting people at risk. |

I'm in a medical unit and yet up until drill last weekend I was seeing a ton of people being irresponsible about masks. Young people, not fully formed frontal lobes, not a good combo. I'm glad to see you here Sunny. Hopefully you guys can work out some way to safely escape for a while. A week at the beach has done us good. |

lfig where've you been? What ended up happening with the Make A Wish deal? Everyone good? I’m here! Reading along most days. Catching up on others. Just been super busy with work and family and life. The Make a wish thing is awaiting me to return some paperwork that I haven’t had time to mess with yet. Then things should start rolling I think. I will pop in tomorrow to try to update more. Basically : 1 - I strongly dislike our babysitter 2 - I got Sierra’s infusion nurse fired after a terrible infusion experience last week 3 - family drama revolving around the Rona and now my aunt has tested positive (she was the center of the drama and not taking things seriously, but now is). 4 - My parents have sold their house and are full time RVing for a while. 5 - since real vacations aren’t happening, suddenly everyone wasn’t to visit us in the middle of nowhere where they can be one with nature. So back to back family visits have been happening. Which is exhausting. 6 - S will be having a VNS device implanted in the next month or so to attempt to help curb her seizures. I’ll come back tomorrow with details and stories of the shit show that is my life. 😂 but right now I’m headed to bed after sitting up drinking with my sister too late when I have to work tomorrow. |

Lila was my name for B all thru my pregnancy up until about week 37 when I heard the name B on a tv show and totally loved it (not that I’d never heard the name before).
