They just took H back so it should only be a few minutes. This is the first time he’s ever cried when the anesthesiologist took him. Poor thing. Hopefully he settles quickly for them.

He’s already eating a popsicle taking to everyone that walks by. I came to wish him luck and he's done! ENTs are so fast! When J got tubes, we got to the room we wait in, I peeled my banana because I didn't eat since he couldn't eat, and the nurse came to get us. It was crazy! Hope he has a good day of spoiling! |

My SIL and her boyf are arriving here tonight to stay w us for the wknd (he accepted a job here and they are looking for a place to live). So my plan today is to clean up for their arrival. And I think it was vino who asked about mh the other day.... he is still on and off w his issues. I was just reminded bc he is having a bad day today. Since I’d last been active he’s seen a neurologist and a rheumatologist. The neuro basically wanted to check there was no further damage (there isn’t) and the rheumo is meant to help him w some of the pain he experiences. It’s all been stalled quite a bit by COVID but he is hanging in there. Thank you for asking.  |

That's great tgrimes! Glad it's done and he is happy!!! B and anesthesia don't mix well. He is always fine an hour or so later but the waking up does not go well for him. He needs to get his tubes back in and I am dreading it. |

tgrimes, can you catch me up- what surgery is H having today? I hope all goes well for him! ❤️ One of his tubes fell behind his ear drum. They tried to get it out in the office several times but he wouldn’t stop crying. Every time he cried they had to pull the tweezer thingys out of his ear. |

Yeah, it literally takes them a couple of minutes to put tubes in. This was only like 30 seconds to get it out. An expensive 30 seconds. Lol. |

He needs to get his tubes back in and I am dreading it. So he woke up laughing, talking and bouncing off the bed. He had 2 bites of a popsicle, a couple of sips of apple juice and then puked all over me. Since they didn’t have to do an IV this time, they didn’t give him zofran. We made it home, I handed him off to MH so I could change clothes, and he puked all over him. At least it wasn’t me again. |

I feel like I haven't updated much lately about anything really. Everyone else just had it worse with school and work so I didn't want to vent. But when the pandemic started, trucking rates for what we haul dropped. Loads we were doing for $1,200 they wanted done for $250. It wasn't enough to even cover fuel so we lost all our drivers. My dad cut my pay in half since I was just managing his truck. Now we can't get any of our drivers back so he's thinking about closing up shop. Which I'm okay with. Working for him has killed our relationship. A is of course freaking out but I'm not worried. I'll just watch more kids. Or start selling cakes. Or something.
We are seriously contemplating homeschooling the kids if there is any virtual learning component. So the less work the better so I can do that full time.

I'm glad he's already done and your home tgrimes! Hopefully his tummy settles soon! I'm WFH today. My boss told me yesterday I should, I told her she didn't have to tell me twice. I don't know if WFH 3 days a week and 2 days in the office will be my new normal or what. Guess we will see what people say. But I'm much less annoyed at home than in my office. Plus I didn't have to get up at 4:30 to run, I did it at 7:30. Evie is at my dads today, so it's quiet, which I'm definitely not complaining about! |

They overlapped our visit last summer, too, so B got to know them and they were all so excited to reunite this summer. B is down there fishing right now. C is *not* happy to be left behind; to distract her I let her take photos of all the flowers in our yard on my phone...now to delete about 3000 pics  |

Morning. It’s chilly & wet here too. We took the kids on a gnome walk (with wooden gnomes & assignments scattered around a short trail). They each got a little red hat and looked adorable. Afterwards we thought we’d visit a sheepfold, but it was closed. We did see a family of wild boars, ds was delighted! Just put some onion soup on for tonight, plonked the kids in front of the tv & grabbed a book.

Ugh. Yes, DH said it’s been miserable down home. 🥵 I always start getting antsy to get back to my own house/routine after a week or two up here, but I definitely will miss the weather. He hauls for us in the winter and still will. But we just won't take on any more drivers. We'll liquidate all our trailers and just keep one for him. |
