Nothing exciting for me because I work, but I can't wait to get it over with. I took next week off and we're going to the OR coast.

It’s rainy here today (Tropical Storm Fay...why are you following me all the way up here?) so probably an inside day. We’re doing lobsters tonight so that should be good.

Morning. I’ve been a bit blah and my patience is wearing with the kids lately so to find some joy I reorganized my clothes and watched Babysitters club after I put on a 30 min face mask last night. I went to bed feeling a bit better.

If you can believe it I’ve also got to try and get to Costco without the kids to get B a snowsuit. Thank you Costco for reminding me that winter will inevitably arrive.

It’s going to a be a gorgeous weekend so we’ll be outdoors lots with probably the sprinkler on! Should be nice.

Morning! My parents are also at this vacation park (part campground/part luxury cabins) so they took the kids for a few hours, which is nice. I spend a few hours reading a frilly book. Not much on the agenda outside reading, walking and eating...

The TKD seminar was okay last night. It was nice seeing my old instructor. The kids lit up seeing him and were more excited doing TKD than I've seen in a long time. He broke down more complicated kicks to basic steps and the girls were proud of themselves for being able to do them.

The new guy (Rex-kwon-do douche bag) is so insanely jealous of the old instructor that it's so painstakingly obvious. Rex was a total dick to old instructor and even though he was the host of the event, didn't introduce him, didn't help out during the event, thank him at the end or have us applaud, and then he gave the most half-assed disrespectful bow I've ever seen. Lolz. What a loser.

Morning. I also just finished my run and the kids biked along with me while Dh mowed. I need to run and get my target pickup order and then start packing for vacation. Dh is taking the kids out golfing with this afternoon to get them out of my hair. We leave tomorrow for Lake Geneva, WI. It’s a trip through dhs work, and I know nothing about the area. Anyone ever been? Any recommendations?

We had a pick up early this morning of a bunch of furniture we were trying to get rid of. I’m happy to have some of it out of the house. Cleaning and reorganizing here:
I got new fabric bins for the playroom and I’m going to spend some more time re-organizing. Waiting on an order of four baskets. The room also needs a rug but I’m not sure what I want yet so the abc mat stays for now.
Next step on my list is the linen closet because I have a bunch of twin sized sheets to get rid of.

Well, we didn't finish. There are still about 60 boxes to dispose of, but we ran out of space in the dumpster.
I'm so annoyed. I'm ready to be done with all this shit.

I got my hair trimmed and eye brows waxed this morning. Now headed to Jackson's teeball game. Mowing this afternoon. A is annoying me. Our golf cart is broken. The shop is booked for 6 weeks and we can't be without it that long. So he tore it apart and needs to order the part. But he hasn't. I've asked 4 times. Still hasn't ordered it... I need the golf cart!

We had a few patients this morning and I left about 11am. I’m eating in the car waiting for Pier One to open up. So annoying that they wait until 12, but it gives me a chance to catch up here.

Nothing but housework on the agenda for the rest of the day. I need to check in with the mom of M’s friend to see if we can meet up this weekend again.

Hi! Beautiful day here so we spent the morning outside. MH took C and L fishing while A napped so I had a glass of wine and read a book. The best. Still waiting on A to wake up after 4 hours.

We came down to the beach late morning today instead of Thursday night like we planned because Tropical Storm Fay hit here yesterday. We lost some siding on the house and the grill cover but my neighbor was kind enough to rescue both. Water was closed to swimming today. T was sad because his best friend was supposed to come for the day but canceled because of the weather. Tomorrow should be nice so I’m planning to stay for the Sunday night beach movie and then head home Monday before gymnastics. We have decided DH will stay here every week through Tuesday or Wednesday to work in peace.

You must be so happy you bought this house! I am guessing you would be kicking yourself if you didn’t and then the pandemic happened.

We spent the day at a skate park. It was Cs first time and it wasn’t busy at all so it was the perfect place to practice. In the few hours we were there he learned how to drop into a half pipe, which is pretty awesome. The half pipe wasn’t super high so it was a great starting off point. He also did some ramps and really worked hard on gaining speed. It was super hot so we all came home and showered. Now it’s just dinner and relaxing tonight.

I've had a headache all day. My guess is I got dehydrated this morning. I took a nap hoping it would help, but it didn't. The ibuprofen wore off so I took some Excedrin and soaked in the tub in the dark. It seems to be getting better, but I'm def. ready for the day to be over.

It turned into a pretty day after Fay blew thru; B caught his first fish of the summer so he was super excited (kids are tied at 1 each, ha). My dad took both kiddos to the lobster pound down at the harbor this a.m. and it was very quiet (poor lobstermen ) so some guy gave the kids a lesson on lobstering. I’ve been coming up here since elementary school but pretty sure after that they know more about the process than I do 😂

Oh! And in the latest installment of As Flamingo’s Craptastic Property Manager Turns...

You’ll be shocked to learn DH got the deposit back in today’s mail, less $550. For 1) fridge filter (which we have a receipt showing we replaced), 2) a dime-sized hole in a window screen which was present at move-in and 3) tree branches overhanging the roof of the backyard shed (not tenant responsibility to trim trees). Plus a 10% ‘admin fee’. None of this stuff was noted on the move out walk-thru and it’s obviously garbage. DH is *furious* and plans to file in small claims court. I was mentally preparing myself for these shenanigans but was hopeful they’d just float our money til the last possible day, then return it. But nope. So we will play hardball and I will make it my full-time job to take these losers down.

That’s awesome! Did he do it on a skateboard or skates?
