It was actually nice out this morning, mid 70s with low humidity, so the girls and I took a walk and played at the park. After we got home I was out looking at my garden and deadheading where I ran into this guy:  I legit jumped when I almost grabbed it before I saw it. Happy birthday wedding and slenle! I liked this for the birthday wishes. Not for that crazy ass white spider. I needed to clarify ::shudders:: |

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I just came back from the furniture store where I bought a new couch and dining table. I’ve been pondering this forever and just needed to bit the bullet. I was pleasantly surprised to come home and check my bank account to move funds around and see that DH got a $4k deposit from his work for hazard pay! We expected at most half that. So it’s like the furniture paid for itself🤷♀️ 🎉🎉 Happy Birthday to YOU for reals. Glad you are having a good day! Yesss to the furniture. I had been debating on getting new stuff for years and had to just bite the bullet, too. |

We just got a letter from our superintendent regarding the school year.
We start on a Thursday. For the first week of school, the kids will alternate days and the second Friday all kids will distance learn. Starting the 17th, school goes to in person for the rest of the semester. Masks will be required for students and teachers when possible. She noted that this plan can change. With the increasing numbers, I’m expecting it to change.
All parents are encouraged to drop off if at all possible to free up bus space for those that can’t.
I’m just glad I have something to plan off of.

I'd probably go for a 4th but MH is very traumatized by A's birth and is a very firm no. Maybe adoption or something down the road! |

Took DD for a check up and C to catch up on a missed vaccine. C watched the whole thing and reacted only with an “oh.” Kept his mask on with no problem. DS has a hockey clinic in a bit, his first time back on the ice since March 7th.

Dh was supposed to have his vasectomy 2 weeks ago, but had to reschedule. So I should say... we don’t plan on any more  |

lahdeedah I'm glad you have a plan. Our first day of school is supposed to be August 12, so 5 weeks away, and nothing has been confirmed yet. Surveys were sent 2 weeks ago and the state came out with guidelines yesterday, which I haven't read yet.

lahdeedah that's confusing. I don't get why it would start with remote learning then change back right away. Either way, that's great you have an answer. Ours won't be decided for another month. I hope we have more babies too! But I do not volunteer as a tribute.

At least I have something to go off of, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it changes. The state just held a conference on tightening restrictions and my county is one of them. I hope by some miracle we start to see a decline before the first day. I just ordered a pack of the old navy masks for M so we can have plenty in rotation. |

It stated that there would be alternating days of in person and distance learning for the first week so the teachers can meet students and also for important practice if the district or individual schools should have to move to distance learning at any time. So basically they are giving a week to “work out the kinks”. There will be a full distance learning option for kids with medical/health issues, but more info to come at a later date. |

We went to an indoor play place today. With the heat index it was 97 today. The kids had a blast and it was a neat place. About to put everyone in bed now. I made fajitas and they were so good.

Today was a work from home day. Tomorrow I’m going in for 3 hours then working from home for the rest. I’m hoping to take some time off in the next couple of weeks. I’m almost capped out on vacation.
