Hot day here. We bought an insanely expensive big inflatable pool and my sister, BIL and nieces are coming over. They're going to take C with them for a sleepover. L is so jealous but she got to sleep over without C months ago when he was at school and he has not forgotten.

Also, I need to learn not to do grocery orders while drinking. Just picked up a bunch of wine, beer, white claw, frozen mozzarella sticks, chocolate and plums I ordered last night 🤦

C was an ass at camp yesterday and received an incident report. He definitely went feral while home and will need to be reintegrated into the community  Today I am done working at noon then I need to run to Kohl's to return an Amazon order. I also need to grab some cheap sneakers for C and a couple casual dresses for myself. The loose swing and T-shirt dresses look so frumpy on me so I need to find something I can just throw on with a somewhat defined waist. I figure if I have to be at Kohl's I can browse a little. I also need to hit Old Navy for returns at some point but I want to go to the one with an outside entrance vs through the mall and its a bit farther away. eta: C was spoken to and lost his iPad and phone privileges. *He has an old phone of my dads that has the internet and he takes pics. |

Currently playing ‘Princess Mall’...I man the toy cash register and ooh and ahh over C’s purchases. She is currently accessorizing her “ball gowns” (her words) with bows and jewelry. I’m throwing out ridiculous prices and she’s cool with it all. Hope I get paid on commission! Aw! C is a mini Lucille Bluth!  |

That’s great that you can finalize the kitchen stuff lahdeedah, can’t wait to see what you choose and how it all turns out. Eta: and yes, even with my background I feel like I am out of my element a bit on some of this renovation stuff! The legwork is the least enjoyable part. I’m at the part where I’m overthinking stuff. I’m having a hard time finalizing backsplash. Cabinets will be white, white quartz, so I think the backsplash should not be white. If you have any ideas let me know. Probably just do a brick lay/subway, but thinking a neutral color. The walls are Manchester tan. This is the pic I keep going back to, but I think it looks more gray.  |

I fell asleep after nursing V this morning...and then DH woke me up 30 minutes before her appt. It takes 15 mins to get there so I had 15 minutes to get ready. I basically just got my shirt changed, throw some diapers and wipes in a bag (still don’t have a diaper bag set up) and change the baby’s diaper. Everything was good at her appt. and now we’re hanging at home. Happy anniversary mamabear and peachsmama! |

I have S BFF over today b/c his little sister was graduating from PreK and honestly it is so much easier to have him here. I've barely seen them all day, and he is so much kinder to B than S is. So basically I am getting alone time for once! I told his mom to stay out as long as she wants!

I took E out to MILs, since we were on vacation with her and I needed a break. Just got back from a run/walk, where I definitely walked more than ran since it's been almost 2 weeks. And it's hot as hell out (not TX hot). I need to get some work done but my give a fuck is broken today.

In one year 😐 then re-met Alex the summer before my sophomore year. Our parents grew up together so I always knew him. I was dating someone and I went to a party at my brother's and he was there. I went home and called my boyfriend at 2am and told him I just fell in love and it wasn't with him and we broke up. It took me 2 months to get him to go out with me. Since he was friends with my brother he was reluctant. But finally agreed. We've been together ever since, August 31st 2007 was our pre wedding anniversary. |

I love that whole image lahdeedah ! (screenshot-ing that for those light fixtures, ha) I agree, I think bringing in a little bit of contrast on the backsplash would be good. A neutral would still be...neutral if you ever changed your decor but would provide some visual interest and depth. eta: this might not be the right size but I like the idea of something like this that has texture and gloss vs. just a 'flat' ceramic subway. |

Our new neighbors come out to play a few times a week and you would think M is the best big brother with how he treats and helps their kids. |

No, not yet. I think I have changed my mind now and don’t want a backpack. I was watching some review videos on YouTube and I don’t love how they open/how deep they are. For now I’m just using my old one that is massive, but works. FWIW, I love my backpack I had for M2 and still use it when we travel or going on long kid centered day outings (pre-COVID lol). I have the skip hop. Nothing fancy, but simple enough to match everything and the gold accents dress it up just a little. I will be using that thing for years when we travel. Hope you find something you like!  |

I was just telling my nurse that I was leaning towards the glossy tile than the flat because under my cabinets can be sort of dark and I think the glossy would brighten it and make it more clean than something dull and matte. Also exactly what I was thinking about the neutral. I like what you linked. I will see if she can pull more neutral colors for me today. The ones I looked at the other day had a gray tone to them, and I’m ok with it as long as it’s not too gray and more taupe or like the color of the one you linked. Ls pedi messaged me back and since he had a fever, i had to take him to urgent care instead of her office. Thankfully , there was no wait so it was quick. He doesn’t have an ear infection which surprised me because the other two always had them. So it’s probably just from teething, but he’s been working on these same 3 teeth for a month. They did a Covid swab since we were there and we should have the results later today, but i highly doubt that’s the case.
