Baby Vivienne Cait says good morning! She was born at 1:46am weighing 8lb 7oz, 19.5in long. I will take a better picture soon but she is finally sleeping quietly, turns out she doesn’t love being swaddled. I’ll give you the whole story later, after I get some rest.  |

Morning. I’m at work today. Looking like a slow day. We’re switching internet providers and I got a self install kit and shocker, it’s not that simple. None of my cable outlets work with it, so I had to schedule a technician to come out. He’s coming this afternoon.
I am also going to light a fire under my project manager’s ass if I don’t get an email with the proposal for the kitchen by lunch. Slowest process EVEEERRRRRR.

Thanks guys, I got a couple hour nap, which was very refreshing. We video called the girls and they were so excited. I am nursing her right now and then I’m going to take a nice long shower.

Trying to get some stuff accomplished around here and keep getting waylaid by a certain 3 y.o. wanting to play dress-up, fashion show, etc.
We’ve tentatively decided on the projects we want to do first and now I’m in the rounding-up-estimates phase. Also I need to pick paint for C’s room as that will determine some things.

Morning! Kids are setting up candy land after N dominated memory. Our sitter is coming today so I can golf with some girlfriends. It’s my first time going this year, but they’re not big golfers so it’ll just be a fun night.

So far we're thinking priorities are: plantation shutters for front windows new front doors built-ins in the family room (replacing awkward drywall niches that are really too big and deep to do anything with) new sofas/recover chairs in family room (existing sofa will move to the living room) new foyer & dining room lighting Originally I was thinking an immediate kitchen facelift--paint cabinets, new counters & backsplash--but I think we're going to save that for next year. I can do several of the above projects for the cost of the kitchen, and I think they would have more impact. What we have is very neutral and in good condition, so I can live with it for a bit. |

So I was supposed to work in the offsite storage today and then work from home the rest of the afternoon, thus the reasoning behind me scheduling my appt at a particular location. Well, woke up to insane thunderstorms and I'm not able to work offsite when it's like this, so I'm at the office. Now I'll have to drive across town for my appointment. Stupid rain.

As soon as I pour my coffee for the day, immediately, someone needs 56465481 things from me. I swear they're born with some sort of radar, years in you'd think it'd be outgrown by now but alas here I sit with lukewarm/cold-ish coffee.
