First time was the scariest. He swelled up and was red all over and it bothered him. The 2nd time half his face was swollen but no red and didn’t bother him. The last time he was red and bothered him but no swelling. Zyrtec helps a lot and we have an epipen jr for the really bad instances.

I fought to get the allergy test to figure out his allergies. The hardest thing for us is mom and pop restaurants who don’t label all the ingredients properly. Now I ask to talk to the chef/cook to make sure no contact to allergies to his food.

I nap maybe once every 3 years. I can’t even really sit down during the day. It would ruin my energy level to make it through the afternoon or evening.

nam2013 hope the swelling goes down and never comes back. I had one summer where 3 times my eyes swelled almost shut. Could never figure out what each time had in common besides I was at my own house every time. Never happened again after that summer.

I love a good nap...if DH is home to supervise, I love nothing more than curling up in my bed with the fan on and reading til I nod off.

I did go get my free birthday drink at Starbucks. Mh is back to painting and I'm sitting on my ass watching Netflix.
I got some pictures from my mom of Cadence enjoying the fairy garden and feeding the donkeys that live in the field next to her house, so she is clearly having a great time!

We’re almost home from up north. It was a nice weekend and the weather was beautiful. My 13 yo niece, however, is truly miserable to be around 😬. Yikes. So much attitude, crying outbursts and just being mean. And my brother does not help the situation by how he reacts to her and it made for a lot of uncomfortable moments. So we were happy to wake up early and get packed up to hit the road for Ls morning nap to avoid any more drama.

Now to unpack, shower and regroup before having my parents and sisters family over for Sunday dinner.

slenle that’s a shame, I don’t blame you for wanting to hit the road! One of my cousins went thru a similar ‘stage’ as a teen that was not delightful. Thankfully she’s in college now and is much more pleasant to be around. Hopefully this is just a phase.

I’ve had a small headache off and on since Thursday night and today it’s worse. I stayed in bed until noon and then laid down again in the dark at two. It feels a bit better but we will see. My dad just picked up C to big to go fishing and then we will go over to their house for dinner later. I’m glad we are able to see them again and catch these little breaks. C idolizes his grandpa too so I’m happy they can reconnect.

Good question...I haven't seen him all day. I should probably find him to make sure she didn't smuggle him in her suitcase. 😬

They seem to fight with each other more when she's not around. I guess she's been keeping them in check.

So I thought it was Father's Day today so we're taking MH out to lunch. Works for me. I get it over with and the restaurant won't be crowded. He fully admitted he did a shit job on Mother's Day so I feel fine about this. 🤷‍♀️
