We had a nice day. Cs teacher went around to everyone’s house and brought a gift. She was about an hour late which was irritating but she brought such a nice gift. All the kids got a pail and shovel, a notebook and pen, sunglasses, a beach ball, and a Pete the Cat book. That must have cost her a lot for 18 kids. C was very gracious.

After that we went to a beach area we have never been. It was too chilly to swim so C and DH made a sand castle, we got ice cream, and did a walking path where C climbed a thousand rocks. Dh was annoying me though.


On Monday I was telling a friend that dh and I are doing really well with quarantine. Since then he has been the most irritating person in the world! I think I jinxed us.🤦🏻‍♀️

I sat down to watch TV and snack on some chips and next thing I knew I was sleepy, so I took a nap. I just made myself get up and I feel so blah. I had my mind set to go try to eat outside at a restaurant for an early dinner, but now that’s moot. MH and the boys are at the park and that nap was long. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Last year L had swelling in her forehead/in between her eyes. It made her face look totally different! I took her to the ER because they were worried it could be an abscess (but I think they were especially worried due to the location of hers so don't want you to freak out). Turns out it was some insane sinus infection BUT they said it very well could have been from a masquito bite she had about an inch over the swelling area. They said it could definitely be a reaction from that!

ETA: the bite didn't cause the sinus infection, just to be clear. Before her CT scan they just said the bite definitely could be the cause.

He still has a bit of a runny nose, so it could very well be. It’s just so weird it just on one side of his face!

nam2013 you might do some light facial massage and warm compresses. If it is sinus related it could help it drain.

I struggle HARD after naps. I'm groggy, queasy and blah most of the time. I wish it weren't the case!

Hope his face is doing better in the morning nam2013. Very weird. Could it be an allergic reaction to something, any new foods, etc lately?

I’m the same. I envy those people who can “power nap” and wake up refreshed. I am not one of those people. But hopefully I feel more rested after tonight since I got the extra zzz’s.

I‘be been so annoyed with most of the restaurants in the last year or two. It seems like wherever you go, it’s always a problem with the food. I picked up food for me and mh and my shrimp in the tacos were raw on one side. I called them up and headed back since they are close. I need to make it habit to check my food before leaving because more often than not something isn’t right or I’m missing an item. I keep saying I need to just cook more, but that’s such a chore some days.

The block party was a success. They had a taco truck as well as a shaved ice vendor. We planned to stay an hour or so and were there for 3.5 😳

The seller’s realtor made sure we met everyone and our kids were welcomed into the pack (so. many. Kids!) We met both our next door neighbors and also met several babysitter prospects 🙌🏻 I’m even more excited now having gone to this.

The mom and kids of the family we’re buying the house from were there briefly—the dad is already out west for work. I didn’t have the chance to meet her but I met their 3 girls. One told me she didn’t want to move They left to go say goodbye to some friends. It made me sad for them, I know it must be hard to leave.

Went to the strawberry festival today. It's really small so easy to make Rona friendly. They cancelled the 5k but increased the vendors. It was fun and we've eaten our weight in strawberries today. 🍓🍓🍓

Maybe you should just stay in the pedicure chair all day tomorrow and have them rotate on who works on your pressure points.

I second this. Just have them bill insurance. Surely its cheaper than an induction.

The only thing I could think of was a sunscreen I’ve never used before on Friday. But I would expect a reaction on Friday and not just on one side of his face.

I woke up before 5 and fought the coffee maker. Never could get it to brew, so I got out the backup. I'm sitting on the porch watching the sunrise. Its beautiful!

I think today is a beach day. We drank too much and ordered pizza delivery last night. It was a good first afternoon!

The swelling was worse this morning so we took hem to the emergency unit. Apparently it is some sort allergic reaction, it is common to fluctuate throughout the day and to present itself of one side of the face. We got some antihistamines prescribed. No need to worry unless his tong starts swelling or he’s getting trouble swallowing.

They don’t know what caused the reaction and won’t test until he has had this more than once.

Hi.

I have errands to run today once I leave work. I need to meal plan while I’m here.

I don’t think I mentioned, but the pest control guy came Friday. He said that window is the only area affected. He used the chemical on the back of his truck to flood the little spaces between the brick where the foundation is and said that should take care of them and last a few years. He gave us options to treat if we want to, but said we should only have to replace that one piece of trim. I’m so relieved this is not going to cost me a lot of money. We’ll probably just fix what needs to now and in a few months do the treatment/prevention service.

We may go out and look at random house stuff, and the kids want to do the pool. They start camp tomorrow, which will be good. Tonight I think we’re going to meet up with my sister for pizza.
