Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 37w1d, 6/28
The Good - baby feels low and is hopefully helping my cervix dilate. I’m in the home stretch and ready for baby whenever she decides to come. I got my exercise ball out and have started doing some hip circles and whatnot.
The Bad - pelvis area is sore, I think from work this past weekend and how low baby feels. I randomly had a bad heartburn day but luckily it’s in check for the most part. I can’t stop overanalyzing every single thing my body is doing, for example I have had some loose stools yesterday and today and I know that can be an early labor sign.
Milestones/Appointments - OB tomorrow and chiro on wed
To Do List - buy some last minute things, go into labor

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 2weeks/ May 22
The Good - G is such a sweet baby. He's a great eater and mostly a great sleeper. When he's awake he's so pleasant (unless he's hungry). Plus it's great not being huge and nauseous and waddling etc lol (sorry).
The Bad - I'm still pretty sore in my pelvic area and stitches.
Milestones/Appointments - weight check on Wednesday.
To Do List - newborn pictures then cut off my hair before it starts falling out.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - June 3/5 days
The Good - he seems much more laid back than DS1
The Bad - He was born face up, so I have a lot of swelling and I think some hemrroids. Things are kinda painful still.
Milestones/Appointments - He goes in for his 2 week check up next week.
To Do List - Fill in his baby book and take care of my short term disability paperwork. I don't understand why it has to wait until after the baby is born, but apparently that's how this company works.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 37w 2d / 6-27
The Good - Getting closer! Just 7 days until my c section. GSB negative too!
The Bad - I’m 2cm dilated and 75% effaced as of Friday and we don’t want that so I’m trying to rest.
Milestones/Appointments - My last week pregnant, NST and OB appointment this week as well as my pre-op visit and covid test at the hospital.
To Do List - keep house clean, survive this insanely BUSY week. Have a baby on Monday!

Weeks/due date/birthday - born 5/15, so 3.5 weeks old. My due date was tomorrow - gosh I’m glad to no longer be pregnant! My third baby was one day late so I would have still been pregnant if I went that far.
The good - still slowly improving with the herniated disc. Baby has slept decently well the last couple nights. And I’m pretty sure I got my first social smile today, which was super adorable (we were in a tent the big kids made and baby thought it was amazing- I think mostly the light coming through the top). And I got my big kids into YMCA day camps starting 6/22! I’m so excited to have the kids get to be kids again and for part of my maternity leave to be normal since next school year is likely to be abnormal again. We do ymca camps every summer but had to re-register because they got rid of less safe camp themes and formed smaller groups.
The bad - we had to put our 14.5 year old dog down very suddenly last week. He became weak and stopped eating and I took him to the vet and was told he had a giant stomach tumor, lesions on his liver, and internal bleeding. I’m glad he had a good last few months with his family all at home. This is the first time since I was in college almost 20 years ago that I haven’t had a dog. I don’t think we’ll get another one for a few years because 4 little kids. Also still a bad is that my hip/leg still hurts from herniated disc.
Appts - I need to call for my 6 week follow up. Will probably do telemedicine. I was trying to get baby a weight check last week and it was a frustrating game of phone tag, so I decided to order a $35 baby scale on amazon. Baby’s next appt is at 2 months.

I'm ignoring the questions because I'm 37 weeks today!!! I never, ever, ever expected in a million years to make it full term but here we are!
I have another ultrasound this afternoon followed by an NST, an NST on Friday, and then scheduled c/s on Monday assuming the rest of the week is fine. Less than a week! I am physically feeling so ready to be done being pregnant, but I also want to make sure baby is doing well also. I get so nervous before each of these appointments and cannot believe it's the last one. AND that even if things look a little off, I'm technically FT today!!
Crazy. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Just got done at the OB. Still at 1cm which is super lame but she did strip my membranes so maybe that’ll get things moving. She also said that if nothing happens by my next appt then we can schedule an induction for 39 weeks, so only 2 weeks left!

We had our follow up with our family doctor. He gained 7ozs this week and is over his birth weight now (Yay). Still jaundiced though. Gonna check back in 2 weeks. She also checked my stitches for me since I still feel really sore/swollen down there. Turns out one of my stitches (right at the top of my tear) partially ripped out at some point in the last 2.5 weeks and that's why I'm hurting. She said it will heal (though won't close up of course and it's too late to restitch) but it'll take at least another 3 weeks or so. So that's awesome..

Does dermaplast help with the pain at all? I used that liberally at every bathroom break after DD1 when I had stitches.

I have a pretty high tolerance to most pain meds so I usually just don't bother unless something is excruciating.

Back from my OB/NST. I thankfully haven't dilated more, but the contractions are now coming 3 minutes apart and lasting nearly a minute. The doctor said if I wanna try to keep her in until Monday (which I do), that I have to be on rest this weekend.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 2.5 weeks/ May 22
The Good - I feel so much better since I’m not pregnant!! C gained 6 oz at her appointment yesterday and is back up to birth weight.
The Bad - C spits up so much. I’ve stopped using burp clothes and have been using receiving blankets instead. I feel so bad for her.
Milestones/Appointments - Back to birth weight and we don’t go back until her 1 month check up!
To Do List - Address/mail birth announcements, make 6 week postpartum check up

So today I put baby on his tummy on the activity mat and came back a few minutes later, and he was on his back. I think 3.5 weeks is a bit early to roll, but at least I know not to leave him sitting up high anywhere. We got our newborn pics back and I love them! Of course our photographer is $$$ and there’s no way I can decide on just 5 or 10 of the files, so now I’m handing over a lot of money to get all the files. I’m excited to design our birth announcement. Also willow right after I said baby didn’t spit up, he did for the first time that night. Still not a lot, but it figures! twopeas I’ve been thinking of you. Did you end up heading to Alaska?

DD2 rolled over for the first time really early, but I’m pretty sure it was a fluke because she stopped doing it shortly after she stopped for a few weeks.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - Babies are 8 weeks old.
The Good - We are getting into a good rhythm during the day. They are napping consistently in their SNOOs and I’ve been able to have a little more down time to do some cleaning or just sit and eat or whatever. My mental state is so much better this time around with having my H as a partner. I was a solo parent for my firstborn and it was so hard. We are also doing our nanny trial visits this week for after I go back to work. We had one yesterday and I really liked her. Our second comes on Friday. I liked both during the FaceTime interviews so I feel like it will be a tough decision.
The Bad - Just the usual, it’s pretty tiring to manage two babies at once type thing. Even though it’s nice out and we can at least go for walks, I feel stir crazy and wish I could take the babies other places.
Milestones/Appointments - Their 2 month appt is next week. I am looking forward to seeing how much they have gained. Also they both have ramped up the smiling and it’s so adorable. They are cooing now too and oh man it’s cute.
I decided today that I was done tracking their feeding and diapers too. They are both having plenty of wet/poop diapers per day and eating consistently and gaining just fine. I was so militant about tracking everything with my oldest for his entire first year of life and it caused me a lot of anxiety and obsessiveness. 2nd time around and I am like “meh, they’re fine.” Lol. The second (and third) born breeziness is so true.
To Do List -

With DD2 I tracked feedings and sleep until like 3 months, but she was 7lbs10oz and had some weight gain issues. I plan to track this time around but probably not as long.

I got a message from my OB that my GBS test is negative! So glad I don’t have to have the antibiotic IVs this time around, because they sucked last time.
