trtlcrzy I think by saying you want to have tomorrow to yourself, you’ve guaranteed that you’ll go into labor overnight I know, right? Either way I’ll be happy. She is more active right now with big stretches, which she sometimes does in the evenings. I probably should get to sleep but I’m a night owl.

You can do it danib! Do you have some family help? Yeah my mom and her husband are my main supports. We'll visit them once or twice a week (and they have a big fenced yard with a trampoline and other toys) and they'll watch the boys so I can get groceries or just pick up for me if I don't want to go out. ILs will most likely take the big boys for a few days at some point and well. I'm definitely lucky in that regard. First day was a success. Boys were great, we got out for a walk around the neighborhood, and everyone cooperated for bedtime.

Well, I was up a lot last night will cramping and some contractions but nada. I slept in and have now found myself in the middle of a toy reorganization/purging situation. I’m over it though and I still have a bunch of toys all over my living room floor. With the kids gone I want to get this place super clean and picked up so that if/when this baby comes I don’t come home to a mess.

Just finished a home visit with one of the L&D nurses from the hospital (I had no idea they offered this until we were discharged last week). He's passed his birth weight by 2 oz already!

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 2.5 weeks/May 25
The Good - were still doing pretty good, we had Milo’s 2 week appt on Monday and he’s a few ounces up from his birth weight so thats good. He’s still mostly chill and enjoys just looking around at everything.
The Bad - I think we’re dealing with some gas issues. He’s been a bit fussier and seems to get uncomfortable and gassy. I’m trying to be better about burping him after feeding and keeping him upright a while after. I’m having bad flashbacks to my daughter having reflux and I get really anxious that it’s going to turn into that, but he’s still eating well so fingers crossed it is just gas.
To Do List - I decided I don’t like the way I organized his dresser so I want to redo it. Although all I’ve done so far is be annoyed by it and do nothing, lol.

How long did you guys keep using the peri bottle? Is it until your stitches fully heal? I forgot to ask my doctor if I should keep using it for the next few weeks now that I have added healing time with my stitch ripping.

They probably do it differently with c-sections since the baby doesn’t actually come in contact with the birth canal area. The first dose I got in my IV was fine because they put some sort of numbing stuff in it so it doesn’t hurt. The subsequent doses they are just straight antibiotics in the IV. Did they tell you that pain was normal? Or did they forget the numbing stuff? I didn't even realize there was a numbing thing, but mine just felt like a regular IV. Most annoying part was just the awkwardness of the actual needle in my hand. +1 to this Just normal IV discomfort. The biggest stressor to being positive was trying to get 2 doses in before giving birth. I’ve only ever gotten one dose for all 3 of my births.

danib I stopped using the peri bottle within the first week. I wasn’t having discomfort and just kept forgetting to fill it. I think it’s more fir comfort than healing.

danib I used mine for the first 1-1.5 weeks. I wasn’t having any discomfort so I stopped using it.

I didn’t use the peri bottle after any of my deliveries. But no tearing.

Once I feel like it won’t hurt to wipe normally then I stop.

I had quite a bit of tearing with DS1 plus the episiotomy so I used it for a long time with him. Probably 6 weeks. It took a long time to heal with him. DS2 I think I used it for a week or maybe 2? I only had a minor tear with him.

I scheduled a pedicure for this afternoon. I’m so excited, I can’t remember the last time I had one done.

trtlcrzy Enjoy your pedicure! I’m jealous. I had been looking forward to a day of pampering myself before C came but coronavirus ruined that.

Pretty much everything is open here. Maybe you can treat yourself soon. They will be able to open after next Friday and will be by appointment only. I’m sure they will book up quickly. I’m hoping I can treat myself next month before we go to the beach. Hopefully they will be less busy by then. My feet are in desperate need of attention.

I'm still using mine about 1.5 weeks out, but things got pretty bad down there when he was born, so I imagine I'll be using it for longer than usual.

trtlcrzy fingers crossed this is it and she comes soon (but not til you get the toys organized and the pedicure!). How are you feeling today? txaggie08 that’s awesome! At DS 2 week checkup he was about the same as birth weight plus 2 oz so I guess good enough. He has gotten a lot fussier and gassy though and spitting up lots so need to keep an eye on that so it doesn’t get worse?! I’ve now got a baby bjorne and hopefully that one works for DS because I need to have my hands free. I’m going to be the lady with 10 carriers before this is done 🤣 danib good work handling 3 without help from DH! Bedtime is the worst for me with 2 haha so you are a rockstar in my eyes! Is it true going from 2 to 3 is easier?!

aries well it's still pretty early but I feel like it was a much bigger shock going from 1-2 than 2-3.

I am currently in the pedicure chair so that has been crossed off my list and the toy organization is almost done.

He didn't sleep more than 45 minutes at a time until he was 15 months and we figured out his dairy allergy .

I told the pedicurist to hit the pressure points during the massage and now I’m having painful contractions. Hopefully this actually turns out to do something for real.

Haha sdlaura from your previous posts it does seem by #4 it’s pretty routine and easier (or at least much less of a shock!). danib how close are your first two sons? Do they entertain each other while you are with G? I think that’s my issue is DS 1 is 4 and used to us being able to do stuff with him all the time so the guilt is rough.

I think that’s my issue is DS 1 is 4 and used to us being able to do stuff with him all the time so the guilt is rough. DS1 was just over 3 when DS2 was born. There was a LOT of guilt. But once I figured out a routine and how to juggle both (like wearing DS2 to play with DS1, and sitting on the floor feeding DS2 while reading or doing puzzles etc) it got better. They play pretty good together now (but also fight quite a bit, it's far from perfect), and DS1 is really mature for his age so will help me out by helping DS2 with things if I'm busy with G. DS2 is 3.5 years older than G, and I don't feel as overwhelmed or guilty this time so we're easing into the changes a little more smoothly.

I said who the hell has time for sex at that point!! (Apparantly that nurse did as it happened to her lol). That’s what scares Dh is if we try for one more and get two lol...
