Morning ladies.  How is everyone?

Normal Thursday for us. I went ahead and signed Evie up for the summer lunches sponsored by the school through June 11th. I'll decide if we want to keep getting them after we get back from vacation. So we will pick that up today, I'll take her to my moms and hopefully come home and run then go into work this afternoon.

But it's raining, which it has been most of the week.

Hi ladies. Supposed to be hot today. The workers will finish our patio today. So excited. I'll probably set up the sprinkler for the girls this afternoon.

We have TKD and horseback riding today so it's a busy day for us.

I'm at work. Last night I turned on Adventures in Babysitting for M. She only lasted about 20 min and then I had to turn it off because she was scared. I'd forgotten about several parts of that movie. Whoops!

I'm sorting baby clothes that A's cousin brought me. She also gave me a stroller I asked to borrow. We're taking a weekend trip and it folds real small. Mine is huge and we need the trunk space. I'm going to send her a gift card. She's saved us a fortune on baby clothes. I bet I've spent less than 300 on clothes for MJ in almost a year. I normally spend that much each size change. At least. And what I've bought is just cute things I wanted.

I need to clean and do laundry today. And I have some baking to do. We are supposed to go swimming but its raining right now so we'll see if it warms up.

Morning. Nothing really planned for today. My sister texted me that the riots in Minneapolis were a few blocks from the hospital she works at, and she was there last night. I don’t know what looting a target and burning down autozone does to show police that black lives matter, but I think the whole situation sucks. What those police officers did sucks and what the protesters are doing sucks. Sorry to start the day off with this but it’s so frustrating.

The girls liked Adventures in Babysitting--both versions. A new one came out a few years ago. #orignalforlyfe

Hopefully tonight we'll watch Back to the Future II.

Other than a few brief clips I'd never seen America's Got Talent before. It was painful and went on forever. I don't know how this could be the 15th season. My TKD instructor wasn't even in that episode so that was 2 hours of my life gone.

Morning. It was DD’s last day of preschool today. She was exited, nervous and a little sad that she had to say goodbye to her friends. I spend the morning baking wedding cupcakes for Ds’ Pentecost wedding at school tomorrow with ds. It was nice to have a few hours with my boy, we wrapped presents for DD’s birthday, made paper flowers, read books and talked.

I slept through my workout so I need to fit that in sometime tonight. I have a full day of work, both boys home, a house that needs to be cleaned top to bottom, and three assignments due today. Looks like I should just plan on being up until midnight.

One of my sisters is coming over later this morning and bringing her PS so she can teach Dude how to play Minecraft. He’s excited.

It is frustrating. I don’t think violent protests are the way to go. I understand the rage, but there are better ways to make change and protest. This is not the way.

I’m at the playground with my kids and my nephew, my sister had a dr appt so I’m watching him. Feeling pretty accomplished getting all 3 to the park, lol...virtual high fives to all the moms of 3+ out there!

The little ones are ready to go but B is running around with some kids so I’m trying to give him a little extra time. He was so excited to see other kids playing when we pulled in

I wish we still had a DVR. We watched it on Hulu. I may be a dick but the raving about all the people with meh talent was a bit much. There were maybe 3-4 acts out of the eleventy they showed that I enjoyed. It would have been much better if I could fast forward. I can't handle the obviously staged bad acts. The kids liked it.

It's so hard because I absolutely get the outrage and despair. But this just fuels the fire for the dickhead racist Trumpers who will focus on this instead of why people are angry. However, people in that category will probably focus on anything other than the cause no matter what (see: Colin Kapernick). *sigh*

This is my thinking on it, too.

I absolutely understand the reaction, unfortunately it just leads to more fools sitting back and judging the actions of POCs in ways they don’t when a bunch of white boys go around flipping cars and burning shit down after a basketball game.

Do I think it’s productive? Probably not, but also, I am not in a position to tell black people how to conduct their own revolution.

I'm in a futile FB argument with some morons over masks/Covid restrictions in Disney. I might get kicked out one of the eleventy Disney FB groups I'm a member of. I love these people who just don't get it that if we want things to open up again we're going to have to take some precautions/make changes.

Yep. I got called a Karen because I said kids have the capacity to understand they need to wear a mask and if not stay home (in a nicer manner, and of course I extend this to my own kids too--it sucks, but for places where I know they won't be able to follow the rules I won't bring them). I was laughing because they Karen thing didn't even make sense. People just like to throw out Karen every now and then. It's the new Boomer.

My 2 year old understood he had to wear a mask at the doctor the other day. The doctor removed it to check his throat and he told her “give it back, no can take your mask off.”

We will watch and see what Disney restriction are as we get closer to our trip and if they are not something I think we can handle, we will postpone to another time. My sister is going with us and says she’s going no matter what if they are open and we are not in stay at home orders here because it’s historical and she wants to see it. If my kids are back at school in masks by then, it may be no big deal to wear them at that point.

I took Evie to the grocery store with my Sunday. It was the first time since our SAH order went into effect that she has gone into any kind of retail establishment. But we discussed that she had to wear her mask the entire time and there was no touching things. We put hand sanitizer on as soon as we got in the car and washed our hands when we got home.

If my 6 year old can do it without bitching, a grown ass adult should be able to as well.
