Weeks/Due Date - 33w1d, 6/28
The Good - overall I’m feeling pretty good. Surprisingly my si joint and pubic bone are feeling pretty good after work this past weekend.
The Bad - this early dilation/preterm labor scare has me questioning every single little thing that I feel, it’s going to be a long 7 weeks. Night sweats, constipation, cramping.
Milestones/Appointments - chiro later this morning, next OB is next wed.
To Do List - take it easy, keep this baby where she belongs. Slowly start purchasing the things off my list of stuff I’d like to have before baby comes. I already ordered the car seat so that should be here later this week. Figure out and buy outfits for maternity pics at the end of the month.

Weeks/Due Date - 36w2d / June 6
The Good - The end is in sight. Baby boy is approximately 7lbs 9ozs per my ultrasound today, so after this week he should be good to come any time.
The Bad - The pelvic pain is just so bad. They didn't even attempt to get any pictures of his face today, his head was so far down in my pelvis (and facing my back) there was just no way. Speaking of his head, measuring 40 weeks so that should be fun.
Milestones/Appointments - OB on Thursday. Will get my GSB test and last bit of bloodwork before baby comes.
To Do List - stay off my feet as much as possible (while solo parenting 2 kids lol).

Puking again today. That's the second time in 3 days. I'm seriously dancing a fine line between wanting this to be over already and knowing he needs to stay in a little longer.

Can’t copy and paste on my phone, but I’m in the hospital! Baby’s readings were elevated today so it’s transfusion time. I’m here until at least Thursday, got first round of steroids today and second tomorrow with the procedure Wednesday first thing. I’m 32w6d today so while I’m terrified I’m also so glad we got this far without needing intervention.
Of course I have nothing but my phone charger. Tell me what things to have my H pack!

Oh wow fikafairy. Sending all the good vibes. You'll want the obvious stuff like pajamas, daytime clothes, etc. As well as slippers and flip flops for the shower (I always felt more comfortable that way anyway). Toiletries, deodorant, lotion and lip balm (hospitals make my skin dry out). Hairbrush and elastics. Crosswords/book/colouring book/ whatever interests you to keep you occupied (and the accessories needed). Good snacks.

Good luck fikafairy!! Weeks/Due Date - 36 weeks tomorrow/June 9 The Good - DS2's in home daycare provider is reopening a week from today. She's offered to take my older kids a bit, so I need to figure out how that's going to work (hours/pay/etc). My sister planned a Zoom sprinkle for me on Saturday. I ordered fun candy and shipping envelopes and plan to ship some goodies to everyone attending. I decided to rent a snoo and ordered that yesterday. I picked to have it ship so it arrives around June 1. The Bad - The sciatica. It comes and goes, but really sucks when it's bad. Kids were not well behaved yesterday. We've just had too much togetherness over the past two months and are all going a little nuts. Milestones/Appointments - Had my 36-week appointment (my first in person since 28 weeks) today and got my GBS swab and TDAP vaccination. I'll have biophysical profiles at 38/39/40 weeks (if I make it that far), given my AMA. To Do List - Wash baby clothes, hospital bag. Call pediatrician and express my desire to leave hospital quickly after birth, since my OB said that's who could hold things up.

If you have a tablet or laptop so you can switch up screen sizes from your phone, that may be nice. I hope everything goes smoothly and you don't have to stay past Thursday!

No just until Thursday, unless the procedure has a complication and they have to deliver. So I’m not having him pack any baby stuff, since regardless of what happens we won’t need it whenever I leave.

Weeks/Due Date - 33w 2d/June 27th
The Good - I’m sleeping a little better on average. SPD pain is somehow more sporadic than it was
The Bad - Contractions have really picked up the last few days, I know it’s not anything more than Braxton Hicks but even those could put too much stress on my uterus. It’s making me nervous.
Milestones/Appointments - NST and doctor visit on Friday To Do - pack hospital and diaper bags

Stupid question (especially since I've done this before). What do you pack in the diaper bag for coming home from the hospital? Obviously, I'll bring baby's coming home outfit and a blanket, but if I remember correctly, the hospital has all the diapers and wipes we'd need. I've always been given lanolin by the hospital too.
Please help me. I've been thinking about this for like a week and can't come up with anything else to put in there.

txaggie08 I also bring my own Swaddle - I prefer the Velcro swaddle vs. just wrapping baby in the hospital blanket while in the hospital. I don't bring a diaper bag to the hospital - just one bag for all of us. This time I'm going to put it in a jumbo Ziploc rather than getting germs on my own bag

Both of the older kids were born in freestanding birth centers and you have to pack a lot more for that. I was like “what do I even bring to the hospital?”. I decided to pack a bag for everything for the hospital and pack the diaper bag separate so I don’t have to keep up with two bags.

txaggie08 my hospital provides diapers and wipes and everything you'd use while there. So all I pack for baby is an outfit and a blanket for in the carseat (hat and mitts included in the outfit).

Weeks/Due Date - 37 weeks/May 30
The Good - I don't know if it's a mental thing because I'm getting so close, but I swear my BH have eased up a little. I was having so many every day and it hasn't been as bad in the last few days.
The Bad - I'm still dreading telling my parents that they can't come see and hold the baby right away. This has really been stressing me out, and I'm pushing it off as long as I can just in case things look better than I expect, but I can't see it happening.
Milestones/Appointments - My next weekly appointment is tomorrow.
To Do List - There are two pictures that I want DH to hang in the nursery, but he says he's not doing it until the baby is born. No clue why and I don't feel like arguing with him about it, so I guess they'll be against the wall until he does it. I need to pack bags for everyone, but I think that's really all that's left.

txaggie08 my first two kids are only 17 months apart and I still forgot everything between them! Maybe it’s better to tell your parents sooner versus later in case they want to start being more careful? You could tell them you’ve decided not to let anyone visit the baby who hasn’t been strictly social distancing for two weeks before. Then it’s on them to make a choice and not you?

They don't get it (or something...I don't know). They're going to the river to stay in a cabin at a campground this weekend with my sister's family for my nephew's birthday. My sister works at a grocery store in a huge city. Both of my parents didn't seem to understand when I said they couldn't take our kids for that weekend. My mom has been going into work every day even though she has the ability to WFH. She's even been riding around in vehicles with her coworkers for dumb stuff like a parade. I saw a news story yesterday that the Catholic churches in the archdiocese her church belongs to will be opening up on Memorial Day weekend, and I know she'll be going. There's just so many things that she'd have to miss out on that I don't think she'd do it. I'm going to have to have that conversation eventually (even though I did joke with DH about not telling them about the baby until we got home from the hospital). I keep telling myself every week that we'll see what things look like in a week as stuff opens up, which is part of why I keep procrastinating.

txaggie08 ITA that I wouldn't want people doing all that stuff around my family/newborn! I obviously don't know them personally, but at least if you told them now they wouldn't be able to say "but we would have changed our behavior if only we'd known your rules!" or whatever, later? My parents are being careful, but they originally wanted to fly back home to the East coast and then fly back here to help with our kids/the baby, and they were going to come back here when I was 38 weeks + 2 days. I asked them to come back earlier if they planned to go back and forth, so that they could quarantine for two weeks after flying before being around our family. Luckily they decided to just stay the whole time rather than going back and forth, but it didn't occur to them that they'd need to come back earlier until I mentioned it.

I’ve packed my back with the stuff I won’t need between now and then and have been checking it off once I put it in so I know what I need to throw in last minute.

Weeks/Due Date - 35+3/June 13
The Good - nothing terrible to speak of so that’s good. I’m now super excited about the glider/rocker we ordered the other day (proof I have no life lol). I had kinda decided to skip it because we don’t really have the room where I want it to go, but SO convinced me that we need one. I’m sure I’ll be thankful to have it.
The Bad - low back pain and what I guess is SPD pain is still super annoying. I also feel sore pretty much every morning from not being able to find a comfortable position.
Milestones/Appointments - u/s appt on 5/20. FX the placenta has finally decided to act right.
To Do List - my sister still wanted to do a small “baby shower” so that’s happening this weekend. Just my immediate family there and they’ve all been staying home safely so I’m not worried about it. Then I’ll know exactly what else we need. At this point it’s pretty much just crib sheets and small stuff like that. I still need to pack the hospital bag but I’ll wait a bit on that.

Ugh Im sorry for the puking danib , it seems unfair that while being housing a big baby, being uncomfortable and at the end of growing a human you now need to deal with this too! I hope all goes well fikafairy and you get to leave as planned on Thursday! How's everything going so far? The only other thing I would ask my H to bring me is snacks haha! Weeks/Due Date - 37 weeks/ May 30 The Good - Had my 37 week appointment today on the phone. Dr said my GBS test was negative so that's great news! I also don't know if this is good or bad but she is sending me for one more ultrasound to check my fluid levels so I'm excited to see baby one more time. I didn't really press her on why she wanted to check that and I re-read my ultrasound results and it said my fluid was normal so not sure. The Bad - We gave our notice at our daycare for DS so he's been home since May 1 because I wanted him to be isolated for when we bring home the baby and so he can go stay with my parents when I go into labour. Remember how I said she's awesome and has been his provider for 3 years? Ya...not so much when she's pissed and acting like a baby about it - blocking on FB and Instagram, ignoring my texts about routine things (we had a great relationship before). We did everything her contract said and gave two months notice so we're still paying her until end of June. But that last week DS was there she was telling him about all the things he was going to miss out on by not being there this summer (WTF he's 4!!!!), so he was coming home all bummed out. Then she wont respond to our msgs and wont respond about giving us back our deposit so we might be forced to cancel June's cheque and just mail her the difference, so that we are at least guaranteed to get that back because I doubt she will pay it after the fact. It's safe to say we won't be sending the new baby there...stress I don't really need right now. Milestones/Appointments - Ultrasound next Tuesday, weekly DR appointments, and so so close to the end! To Do List - Try to stay calm and let everything go that doesn't matter.
