I was just looking at the spreadsheet and the 3 team greens are next. I’m excited to find out the sex of the babies. Do you ladies have any feels one way or another? Last time with DS we were also team green and I felt pretty strongly he was a boy. This time I have no clue! I have moments where I am so sure it’s a girl then get panicked because we don’t have a good boy name haha so basically I don’t know. I catch myself saying he a lot so who knows?! Anyone with same sex babies have completely different pregnancy symptoms? My two pregnancies are so different that’s the only reason I feel it might be a girl. Edit -* I feel like I asked this before lol I’m sorry my memory has gone to mush! I was green with DS1 and DS2. DS1 I puked every morning from week 7-16 (but once I puked felt amazing the rest of the day), had zero heartburn, clear glowing skin, and carried so high I had cleavage up to my chin. DS2 I had all day nausea for thee full first trimester but couldn't throw up (I literally would put my head on the table and close my eyes during mealtimes), had horrible heartburn, had acne, and carried super low. This one, also a boy, has been different yet again.

In my experience each pregnancy gets worse in terms of symptoms. Some of it is probably related to being older, but I've also read research that typically you're sicker with each subsequent pregnancy. Plus my body hurts a lot more. I think I've carried the same with each baby. My girl was first, and my life is just so incredibly different between that pregnancy (I was 30/31 and had so much time to relax) vs. this one (I'm 38/almost 39, and trying to take care of 3 kids and work full time) is SO huge, so it's difficult to compare.

Radley that is weird that they can’t even tell you why! I’d be annoyed especially if you have to keep rearranging your schedule to fit in appointments that are “so important” but yet no issue with always cancelling them.

So. My doctor was running an hour late so I was there forever. I told her I had been having BH and cramping so she checked my cervix and I’m 1cm dilated. The nurse gave me a steroid shot and I have to go for a second one tomorrow. I was instructed to chill out, lol. Baby is head down at least.

Weeks/Due Date - 30w3d / July 12th. I feel like I can start counting down to baby arrival now!
The Good - I've been getting so much done around the house! Not even necessarily cleaning-wise... we ordered new furniture for our master bedroom, I've already sold our old dresser so all that is left in there is the bed so I thought, what better time than now to paint the room! Let me tell you... there are better times to paint than at 30 wks pregnant. 🤦 But at least it's getting done!
The Bad - nothing really, I guess. Just same ol' same ol' late pregnancy symptoms. I guess also I keep waffling on a name. I think I'm just going to take my top 2 names to delivery and see what he "feels" like after he's born. I had my son's name picked by now last time so I feel like I'm not very prepared by not having one already this time!
Milestones/Appointments - growth U/S on 5/21.
To Do List - wash baby clothes. Been starting to think about hospital bag contents too.

trtlcrzy aren't a lot of third-time moms sort of always a bit dilated? I'm surprised they went straight to steroid shots?

Probably, except last week at triage I was closed so dilating to 1cm a week later at 32 weeks is probably why she did it. I’ve been having cramps/BH so that probably contributed to it too.

Been starting to think about hospital bag contents too. Painting is hard work. But it’s even worse when pregnant because of all the up and down, up and down. I’m sure it’ll look great when you’re done. Also, don’t feel bad about not having a name yet, you still have 2 months. I never had a for sure name picked out before any of my babies were born.

I am really cramping now, but I think that is more due to the fact that she had to reach up so far to feel my cervix and it was very uncomfortable. I’ve decided to put myself on bed rest for the rest of the afternoon. Unfortunately DH said he’s not going to be home until 7-7:30 so I have to make supper, which is probably going to be a frozen pizza tbh.

We were team green with baby #1 and baby #3, so I have a lot of trouble saying "he" with this baby, even thought we know it's a boy. I'm so used to just saying "the baby" when I'm pregnant.

Got it trtlcrzy, that makes more sense. I've never had a cervix check before so who knows how dilated I would be! I also haven't really ever had contractions early, so no reason to check like there was for you.

I also haven't really ever had contractions early, so no reason to check like there was for you. My other 2 pregnancies were super boring so I had no reason for anything extra. I remember being checked at 36 weeks, since they are already down there checking for GBS and I think I was around 1cm at that check so who knows. By delivery for both girls I was at 3-4cm so my cervix likes to get ready while I’m still pregnant.

That’s funny. I call the baby “the baby” after they’re born for so long. I think it just takes me a while to get used to calling them a name (I do it for my friends babies too). I still call my 4 year old “peanut” most of the time, but I’m trying to break that habit.

She said I was a fingertip dilated, which is probably as far as my body will go on its own based on the last two. That check was so uncomfortable. I'm definitely opting out of any future ones until past my due date. I hope things settle down for you soon!

Weeks/Due Date - 34 weeks + 2 days, c-section scheduled for 6/5
The Good - One month to go. Baby is doing well. I’m pretty sure we have everything we need. Our living room looks like an Amazon and Target warehouse, with all the unopened boxes.
The Bad - The barrage of appointments coming in the next few weeks.
Milestones/Appointments - Started NST today. Because of Covid they are only once a week, but longer rather than twice a week.
To Do List - Get a new SUV this week, we’ve narrowed it down to the X7 or the QX80.

So the left side of my butt and left leg have been hurting a lot lately. I realized it's probably sciatica. I know I should feel lucky for not experiencing this until 35+ weeks with my 4th baby, but it still sucks.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with it? So far I'm just stretching, and I'm still doing the elliptical and weight stuff since that seems to make it feel better. But walking/standing can hurt.

danib my normal workouts include some yoga-like moves, but I haven't been doing dedicated yoga workouts. I bet I could find one online that's sciatica-specific - good idea.

Sorry the late update, I have been busy since my appt this morning. No change to the cervix, got my 2nd steroid shot (just as annoying as the first one) and was told to just keep an eye on it. My next appt is in 2 weeks so hopefully everything is just fine from now until then, I’m planning to take it easy and relax as much as I can.

Just vomited in the garbage while sitting on the toilet. It's like 1st Tri all over again.

Just vomited in the garbage while sitting on the toilet. It's like 1st Tri all over again. That’s the worst. Do you think it could be low iron? I know when mine was low I would get really hot and nauseous sometimes when I was trying to poop. Since I’ve started the iron supplements (I take a gummy prenatal that doesn’t have iron) I haven’t really had that happen.

The night sweats are killing me. I showered last night before I went to bed and woke up drenched. Makes you feel really clean when you start your day.

Ugh danib that sucks. No night sweats here yet but I definitely have them PP. I was texting with a friend this morning who has four kids and she said she also had sciatica at the end of pregnancy #4. Luckily she said it went away quick after delivery.

I actually have been prescribed iron (900mg per day!) for many years now which keeps my levels decent. Just chalking it up to this pregnancy being harder than my previous ones...

I'm already sleeping with just a single sheet and a fan. DH has been wearing fleece pajamas when he's home because apparently I have the room too cold.
