A has been reluctant to get a trampoline even though the boys and I have been begging! He finally agreed and told me to order one. Now to decide which one to get.. he's going to borrow an excavator and sink it in the ground so we don't have to move it to mow and so it's safer. All the dirt from that will fill in our land scaping so I need to start thinking about what I want.. trtlcrzy do you know of a site that'll tell me what plants are good for my area? I just checked and you’re in zone 6, which means that almost anything will grow and do well there. I found a local/zone specific fb gardening group super helpful with plant selection also. I will check into it. Thanks! I'm all about low maintenance because my thumb is as black as can be... |

peachsmama the sunken in ones are great, we’ve had one a few times on vacation and the kids love love love them. Don’t get one to small if you have room for a bigger one, they’ll fall less on the borders and les bumping into one an other  .

Our new house comes with a trampoline and it has a net around it. I’m a bit nervous about it but I know the kids will love it, so we’ll see how it goes I guess.

When we were looking at our house, there was a trampoline in the back yard. We put in the contract that the seller had to take it with her or get rid of it. We have now discussed buying one. Evie has a 7' one in the basement, but she will only use it when we are down there with her.

Yeah I would have been fine with our sellers taking it, but they are moving cross-country and I can understand not wanting to deal with it. We thought about removing it before the kids see it but I think we’re going to give it a try. We had one growing up and loved it; obviously I’m more nervous as a mom. I’ve seen a lot of posts lately in neighborhood mom groups about recommendations for pools, outdoor/backyard kitchens, playset companies, etc—I think everyone being stuck at home so long will turn out great for pool/‘outdoor living’ contractors in the long run! |

I used to love trampolines as a kid. As a parent, they make me nervous. We have the space for one but our backyard is on a subtle slope so not sure it'd work anyway.

MJ was having none of my working out.. I tried to do school work with M instead and the site is messed up. So I emailed 2 teachers and the reading teacher sent me her stuff. The main teacher is working on it with the tech team. I have enough to keep him occupied but my ocd kicks my anxiety up not knowing if we're doing the right things in the right order and I hate not having what I need..

mwhip I find that if Cadence does a physical activity first, she is more willing to participate in school. Also, yesterday I made a to do list for her. She liked checking things off as we went. It was mostly school work, then a chore and a reward at the bottom. Yesterday's reward was playing a new game she got, which was splat the sight word, so still learning(but don't tell her that). We have that game, too. So fun. |

I love how much he wants to learn in the kitchen lately, but some of the stuff he wants to make is very involved!

I’ve only had hot cross buns in New Zealand, but they are delicious! I commend his taste . We’ve never had them, so I guess we won’t know whether or not they any good. |

I loved trampolines growing up. They make me nervous now though and DNW an increased risk to go to an ER.

cagoldi, never had/made Hot Cross Buns either but I've been thinking of making them. They'll have to wait though because the bananas are ready for banana bread. But yes, they look time consuming. All I could think of reading all these knead/wait to rise/repeat instructions was I don't know how the hell women ever slept when they had stuff like this ready for breakfast. It definitely won't be done before midday in my house.

I'm also team no trampoline (although I love going to the trampoline place), but would love a pool. I'm complex with where my mom anxiety chooses to spike.
