Its a cold, windy weekend here. I miss the 75 degree weather from last week! We're going to dye Easter eggs today so I need to get them boiled.

Morning! I have some work to do at home this weekend but it's ok cause we are all HOME. Obviously no plans to go anywhere. Dying eggs later. I'm looking up egg salad recipes so none of the eggs get wasted.

cagoldi (Who I don’t think actually enjoys egg salad) gave me a recipe for it years ago that we now make on and off. I don’t know where I put it, but it had frizzled sage leaves and was served warm. It was a really nice change from the typical mayo and salt variety.

We are coloring eggs today, too. My Easter menu is a mess bc of the substitutions from instcart so I’m recipe searching today to pull a better plan together.

M woke me up at midnight vomiting. I've been watching what she eats so I have no idea what caused it this time. I slept in her room the rest of the night so I barely slept. Needless to say, I'm moody.

I'm currently working and then I need to fill easter eggs. M will be dying eggs this afternoon.

MH boiled eggs last night and today we're decorating. We're only going to save a few for hardboiled ones and our egg contest (every year we see who has the champion egg when we bang 2 together and see whose cracks--my grandpa used to win every year). The rest will be egg salad or deviled eggs.

The horse people are supposed to make their return at noon. 😒

It's Trolls Day over here!!
We'll be making Trolls cookies and popcorn. Crafts include a troll headband, cloud guy, and a trolls pencil topper. Then we will be watching the new movie.

Later we will dye eggs and order pizza.

I've got all the eggs filled for tomorrow. I hope Cadence is ready to find 65 eggs all on her own. 😬

We'll just do KFC for Easter dinner and I'll make deviled eggs to go with it, obvi.

@klongoria, I was just going to keep my eggs hard-boiled and let the kids eat them as snacks, but I think I will make deviled eggs. Those sound deliscious right now.

Anyone have any banana recipes they love? I requested 7 bananas and got 7 bunches, 40 bananas. Froze some to make banana "ice cream", will let some brown for banana bread and probably will grill some "banana splits".... Also will likely give some to my sister.

😂😂 I love banana bread with chocolate chips. You could peel and freeze them for smoothies too.

We all slept in today. I need to fill eggs and get an Easter picture of the boys. We might do a mock egg hunt today, not sure. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow- in the morning and then again in the afternoon. There may be a few hours between the systems, but not sure if we will get to do anything outside if it’s so wet. I’ll have to hide the eggs all over the house tonight.

wineallthetime that is a lot of bananas. Sorry I have no talent other than banana muffins which are essentially just banana bread in muffin pans.

DH cleaned the kitchen and I cleaned the bathrooms. I also finished another class that I was taking. Only 1 more to go and I’m done! Now I’m boiling eggs for the kids to dye. I usually get the Paas kit in the dollar store but amazon wanted $24 for it and it wasn’t guaranteed to arrive on time so we are just using food coloring and vinegar.

Today is my mom’s birthday. The kids are making her cards now that we will leave in the door. Maybe we will sing in the backyard later (she lives next door).

Lol at the banana situation wineallthetime! What about banana pudding? I am the outlier in my family who does not care for it, everyone else loves it. The one banana dessert I do like is bananas foster, if you want to get fancy and light something on fire 😁

Our day sounds a lot like many of yours—dyeing eggs, prepping food for tmrw, etc. I will probably do some more purging, too.

Hiiiii! The boys spent entirely too much time with their faces in their Kindles these last few days, so there's been lots of active play, both inside and outside. Chase also had a 20 minute zoom with one of his besties, which was really cute. I really like her Mom so we got to catch up while the kids were picking their next toy to show off.

The boys just ate and are getting 1/2 hour of screen time then I will get them back outside. They already did chalk on the driveway and finished off the battery in the Jeep, so they're going to have to get creative.

I wasn’t planning on it, but I’m thinking I’ll make a small batch too. DH and I like them, B *might* (can’t recall if he’s eaten them in years past). Not sure about C, guess we’ll find out!

The duvets I ordered for C’s (new) room came and I just unpacked them. So pretty! They weren’t supposed to be here til Monday 🙌🏻

I unearthed the prettiest pink/coral shower curtain that I used for 1 year in KS (we had a 50s classic pink tile bathroom). In hindsight it was probably too much pink but 🤷🏻‍♀️ pregnancy brain. I saved it thinking maybe I could use it for a girl’s bathroom someday, lol. I think it’s time to let it goooooo
