Not doing Seesaw yet. We’re on Spring Break this week so I have a few days to get my shit together and figure out how to navigate the distance learning. We previously had a packet with a handful of activities for each day. Now we are supposed to be doing some online lessons. I still have not let him do any screens other than a TV but feel my stance on that probably needs to change now. I’m still thinking about it. For now I have him playing sight word games and doing math lessons in his workbook.🤷♀️ Our big activity for the day is making a coffee cake. He’s watching more TV than I want but it’s pretty much videos from Kid’s Learning Tube about the solar system or geography so it’s not concerning me too much. Those are such earworms in this house. I hear them singing about UY Scuti and the dwarf planets constantly.

nam2013 Cadence wanted sprinkles on her toast yesterday and mh said sprinkles don't go on toast. I told him it's the Dutch way and it's allowed. She had sprinkles.

We ate breakfast, painted, decorated for Easter, ate lunch and now we're outside. We're somehow a whole week behind on the packet for M'sM's schoo. I guess I missed more days than I thought. They sent an update and now they're adding online check ins and things so I need to get it figured out today.

Struggling with this damn seesaw site. There are parts that involve writing, which is impossible on the laptop, so I switched to her to her tablet and the shit is all small. Am I just not navigating it properly? Hmm. All our writing, they want the kids to do 'the old fashioned way', so Bradley does it in his composition notebook and then I take a photo and upload it. Is that an option? Some of the activities do require this. I may have her just do more like that and upload them to the journal.

Hey. It’s glorious outside today. Shorts and sandals weather. We’re hanging out outside until it’s time to leave for the chiropractor. The package I ordered 2.5 weeks ago from old navy finally arrived. Only other thing on the schedule for today is laundry and work tonight.

Our cleaning people were just here. I had thought about cancelling, with all 3 of us here and not having other people in the house, but H's cousin owns the cleaning company and had posted on FB about the precautions they are taking for their employees, so went ahead and had them come in. Damn...those girls work HARD. They clean things I never think about and would never regularly clean myself. I'm glad I had them come in.
Just working for me, H is going to get some gas for the mower and weed eater when we finish lunch so at least I won't have him in the house for a bit.
It's gorgeous here today, but humid, so we fired up the A/C. At least it works right.

I ordered a bunch of new leggings and need them so I can quit doing laundry in the middle of the week!

Oh damn, 3/20, I missed the 0. I ordered it when I was told to start working from home, knowing I'd be living in leggings/capris. But I'm still not very happy, especially considering I keep seeing sales from them. Like, catch up on your back orders!

I had my tele-doc appointment and am a convert; up until just recently our insurance wouldn't cover this service, but are now allowing it. Hopefully they'll see the light and cover it going forward, b/c it was great! For just a basic check-up or consult it is perfect.

I just had S’s neurologist appointment over the phone this morning and I didn’t have to drive 3 hours for it! We discussed seizure activity, made med adjustments, added a new med, and made a plan for a VNS (vagus nerve stimulator) device. But that requires outpatient surgery so we will not move forward with that until this craziness is over. But we accomplished everything we would have at an in person appointment with the exception of a physical exam.

The girls did sneak off with an entire can of Pringles the other day. It was supposed to be one of their treat quarantine items and they finished it in an afternoon. M and M2 have done.

So happy that you were able to get so much out of the specialist visit, lfig. flamingo virtual visits are awesome. It’s a much more cost-effective delivery and there’s no good reason for insurance providers not to offer coverage.

They were on clearance so they’re coming from a store, and apparently they have skeleton crews working the stockrooms once or twice a week so it’s taking longer for those orders to process.

I’m not too worried about it though.

Along side virtual doctors visits, I love that my favourite restaurants are now delivering at home! I can eat all the yummie food on my couch.

Virtual visits are one of those things that I hope comes out of this as a permanent change. Many visits could be handled effectively this way and save people a lot of time.

I just started putting my flip flops on to go check the mail and such and it’s been 80s here a lot lately.

I was supposed to have a pre-op appt next week (surgery in May), but hospital where they have operating space is cancelling all non-emergent procedures. So I'll go in (hopefully) one last time in late May to get my records and then will have to find a surgeon with the same specialty in FL to do the procedure :/

I’m jealous of everyone who can still have people come to your house or go places such as chiropractors. My appointment to get a cracked tooth fixed on March 17th got canceled and the tooth will probably be beyond repair before I can do anything about it. We are over 500 cases in my city alone. A family in my neighborhood all have it, including several children and they could not even get one dose of Tylenol between them. I keep asking how is this America in 2020?

kim22 so y'all can't even have emergency dental procedures? I know here and down home most (all?) dentists are closed but we've gotten emails from our dental offices with instructions of what to do in case you have an emergency (from what it sounds like they can open for that specifically).

Hi! Just checking in today. I finished the paint on the walls today and it’s perfect. After I did the first coat, I knew it just wasn’t quite the right color. So I went to BM this morning to get a gallon and it’s just right even though it wasn’t that much difference than the first color. I think once I paint the trim, I will love it even more.
It’s starting to get cloudy so we better get outside before the rain starts.

lahdeedah, not 🐢, but for me 60s is flipflop weather. It was 61 here yesterday evening. The girls insisted I get their summer clothes down, wore shorts, and sprayed each other with the hose. They have kid strength so i don't go that far, but I almost changed into shorts.

I’m shivering just reading about getting wet while it’s in the 60s. 😨 I probably won’t be in shorts until it’s consistently in the 90s here. Lol. We do have the AC on though (set at 75), and if I’m in shorts outside, as soon as I come in I’m cold. When I’m home I live in leggings though. If I’m going somewhere, it’s workout leggings. If I’m not going anywhere it’s cotton maternity leggings from my last pregnancy with M2. They have a low band, so they don’t feel like maternity leggings and they are comfortable AF.
