We sat in our driveway yesterday evening and had a few beers with a neighbor, sat far apart. One of my best friends brought some cupcakes she made (she's bored). It was nice to do something that seemed like 'normal.' I think we may do the same today, our weather is supposed to go to shit tomorrow, so we need to enjoy it while we can.

Morning. The bread roosters are currently in top of the oven rising & we made strings of fruit drops, popcorn, raisins and licorice. It’s one of my best friends birthday, so I’m getting a bottle of wine and we’ll cycle to their house to drop it of. Couscous on the menu tonight. My house is in a terrible state, so I really should clean, with the emphasis on should .

nam2013 I think I need to see this bread rooster when it's done... My kids shaped them, so don’t expect to much . It just a small one to put on top of the palm easter stick.

I want to see everything the fruit ropes and the bread roosters. That sounds like such fun. I made these cookies last night that I thought we’re going to be bursting with flavor — they had Oreos and pretzels and potato chips in them and they were just kind of flat. I did a second batch where I added a little instant coffee and a third batch with some sea salt on the top and still nothing. Whomp whomp!

I started my period yesterday. Which explains the draining feeling the day before. I've had the worst cramps since before I had kids. I need to deposit payroll today. I'll wait until Mallory is due for a nap so she can sleep and I'll probably drive around a bit. Maybe do I bit of "can you find a" with the boys. We have school work to do and I have a load of laundry to fold. Another day in paradise...

Hi from work. I’m still dealing with some crazy stuff.
Today L and I are baking C a birthday cake for tomorrow. So he will be thrilled.
I just got an update on the gift we got L for his basket. It’s finally out of Germany and in Chicago with it estimated to be here on Saturday. I can use the backup items as things for him to do while I’m working.

Morning!
We have our pre-move survey happening at 11, where a moving company rep does a walk-thru to calculate how much stuff you have (spoiler alert: a lot). One step closer...!
After that I’m going to run to the grocery store—my big outing for the week—then DH has an afternoon flight.

And bummer the cookies weren’t any good, the idea sounds really delicious though!

I can handle having them home and doing what's safest, but it's so scary. Will things ever be "normal" again?

And hello from home. I was supposed to work today but with Michigan being so bad and MH now having a positive case in his office, I'm home. I can't risk having my in-laws come over to watch the kids and be exposed. We will need to figure out next week!

I can’t imagine that before there’s either a cure or a vaccin things will become normal. I also a little worried about the emotional effect on kids if this would turn in to a very long time, it not normal for my 3yo to scream ‘keep your distance’, for them not to be able to hug and play with friends, family etc.

Also hi.
When I logged in this morning I saw the news and heard about the 6 week old from Hartford, and Colin found me in tears. DH is freaking out about the jobs numbers... It definitely feels overwhelming and hard to believe things will ever be normal again. We are doing really well not snapping at each other and trying to make things as fun as possible for the boys, and the running helps. But I feel sick to my stomach everytime I look at the news or just re-realize what's going on.
And worse, I worry that we won't learn a damn thing in the long-term.

Morning! H finally lost her tooth this morning so I can stop hearing about how much it hurts. I hope that now that she lost one tooth she isn’t scared for the rest of them to come out. She’s very excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. The weather has turned. Yesterday it got up to 75, which felt amazing, but today’s high is 45 and tomorrow we are supposed to get snow. At least it’s just supposed to be a dusting. Then it looks lime it’ll warm up again next week. I scheduled an appt to see the chiro this afternoon and then work this evening. Happy birthday mwhip!

I was reading an article earlier about a test that will hopefully be coming soon. It’s a finger prick and they get the results in 15 minutes. It tests to see if you have had and are immune to covid. The article said that if people are immune then they could go back to work/school to get things running again. I hope that’s true. www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-antibody-blood-test-covid-19-2020-3

I’m also skeptical about things just being normal one day soon- as in before the year the year is over.
Today I need to see if I can go drop the stuff off for our taxes to get done. I’ll feel better once we have that sorted out and complete. I don’t want it to be something that just hangs out in my head knowing it has to be done.
I have laundry and cleaning floors on my list today for the house.
