Lol about the soap. mwhip I also scored some antibacterial bath soap today with the bread. I have a lot of my regular dove, but I like to keep some antibacterial on hand for every so often and I’ve been wanting some to use on days I am at work. I was out and didn’t think about getting that the first couple of times I stocked up on basics before the shit hit the fan.

Can’t believe some of y’all are getting snow! It was supposed to rain today, but the forecast changed and now the rain won’t be here until next weekend. It’s supposed to be in the low 80s all week here.

Manic is right. I’m about to lose it.
The lab that collected my specimen had to send it out to a reference lab, so it will now be another 3-4 days before I get results. So, at least a week after testing.
Meanwhile, my infusion that was scheduled for last week has been postponed pending results, so that is fun.

I did a target drive up order and saw someone walk out with toilet paper, so went in to find some since we are running low now. I must have just missed it, because i saw two others with it in their cart but the aisle was empty. Darn it!

inthekitty let me know if you need help with Google Classroom. All I have done for a week is help people set up Google classroom.

We are officially on "lockdown" starting at midnight. Trying to figure out exactly what that means. As of now MH and I are still "essential" and still need to work. But can my in-laws still come watch the kids? I'm unsure.

But can my in-laws still come watch the kids? I'm unsure. I believe they can, at least that's what we are doing. As long as I'm comfortable with them watching her and her going to their houses. Are you a Shelter in Place location I'd assume, just like KC? I am strongly considering just keeping her home with me all day though. I know I will regret that decision, she doesn't understand that I have to actually work though, I can't play. From the sounds of things, it's basically just to make people limit their interactions and gatherings. I sent an email to all of the suppliers I've purchased from since January 2019. All but 1 responded that they are still operating normally as they are considered 'essential.' Sounds like everyone is essential. I'm not sure how this is going to help, although I guess it will slow things down since I'm not going to the gym, or getting together with 49 other people at a bridal shower this weekend.

I felt good yesterday and was so excited thinking I was over it, but whatever this is just won’t let go of my lungs. Are you fully recovered? wineallthetime our DC remains open for essential personnel only. And childcare is deemed essential under our orders. I don’t want my sister here while this is going around though, so I am paying her while she stays home the next couple weeks, then we’re going to reassess.

The governor here announced schools are closed for the rest of the year--our last day would be in mid-June. I think most people expected through spring break (3rd week of April) with the option to extend the closures as needed, so this was a surprise and feels a bit premature. B started crying when I told him, and we got an email from his teacher that said she is heartbroken What a weird year.

oh man flamingo. I am so sad about this all. S would be heartbroken if they cancel till the end of the year, but I'm trying to start to prepare him for that very real possibility. Esp if all these idiots don't start listening to the rules and keep going out.

Esp if all these idiots don't start listening to the rules and keep going out. It sucks. I've really held off on pity parties, etc. but I'm having one about this. His teacher set the class up on FlipGrid this morning so they could do 'show and tell', and we watched every single classmate's video (heck, i volunteer one morning a week and miss the kids--I know he must!). His teacher has been such a pro and is doing great things to stay connected, but obviously it's not the same. Maybe it's the glass of wine I just polished off but I'm a bit misty-eyed ATM thinking about it.

Expecting it to be extended, for sure. Poor B.

I’m going through stuff on line printing worksheets for S and just saw some Mother’s Day crafts and got sad bc I realized there would be nothing coming home from him this year. And it’s the first year he’s actually reading and writing so it makes me sad. I know it’s silly and selfish, but still. They are missing so much

Oh man, I bet we aren't far behind flamingo. Our county emailed saying we aren't going back next week and they are working on what they will do, but I think waiting for the governor to make the call. I have no idea what this means for camps this summer, I may need to get a nanny. K's daycare is closed until 4/27 as of yesterday and reduced the rate by 25% in order for them to keep teachers. No word on N's school yet, or my work for that matter. If anyone follows mommyshorts on IG, she most likely has it, and her symptoms are similar to mine. I kind of freaked out earlier but am feeling fine now. I made some soup in the instapot and just have a sore throat at the current moment. wedding, how's your tummy? Diarrhea definitely can be a symptom it seems.

We got word that schools will be closed until at least 4/13. I am also super bummed and hope they can go back for at least a few weeks at the end of the school year. tallb I saw that earlier today. The people with mild symptom’s stories made me paranoid that it’s what is going on with me. So I messaged my OB this afternoon and she said that since I work at the hospital I should get tested. I went to a drive thru testing facility which was kind of weird but it was quick and I should know by the end of the week. I feel like it’s better to know than spread it at the hospital while I’m at work.

Aww jewels . It's not silly or selfish at all, IMO; we are allowed to have feelings about this stuff, even if we acknowledge we're doing some of these things for the overall good.

Hi. Count me in on feeling antsy, though I'm still getting out to run before everyone gets up. Colin officially started his distance learning program today - I can't say enough for how quickly the school got everything up and running, distributed Chromebooks, etc. I'm so impressed. They're doing lots of Flipgrids too - Col was so excited to "see" his friends.
J came today to watch the boys so both DH and I can work. They loved her, she made them clean up after themselves, and I was super productive. I'm working in the guest room on the fold-out desk on the still unfinished murphy bed - it's so nice to have my own space!
And Chase is officially 4. He was a real piece of work today after J left, even moreso than usual. FUN

I can't believe I almost forgot: my Dad has responded really well to the chemo. All around, things are looking about as positive as could possibly be expected. My Mom seems relieved but also realistic that this is about the best it's going to get. Which is probably all we could hope for.

Poor B. flamingo, I’m sorry. I wanted M to come with me to pick up his packet at school. I thought maybe just driving the familiar route and seeing his school would be a bright spot for him. He asked if he would see his teacher and I told him no and he said then he didn’t want to go. ☹️ They have not made a decision on the rest of the year, but I do think it will come to that. Our teacher is trying to set up a zoom meeting for the kids this Thursday, so I’m looking forward to him seeing his classmates. I have also been thinking about summer camps. The full day one I was considering has early bird rates, but I don’t want to put a deposit on anything yet. I am also trying to prepare myself for us having to cancel our beach trip in June. I know it’s months away, but at the rate we are going, I have no certainties about anything this summer.
