Morning! peachsmama I’m with you on the weather...the rain and gloom make things worse. DH was up early for a dr appt but he should be home around lunchtime. I’m having some coffee and getting myself mentally geared up for homeschool. 😬😬

Morning. Made a quick run to the stores this morning, got some flowers for my mom and grandma & did weekly shopping. Left a note for my neighbour that if he was afraid to go to the stores, wo could bring supplies. Asides that people are infuriating. Keep your distance from each other, stay inside! Apparently even after a national alert people feel the need to flock to the dunes and the beach. Mostly grown as people. Don’t you think the elderly or people with small kids would love to let their cooked up little ones room for a bit?!

Hi from work aka my dining room table. I’m the “on call” phone person this morning so I can’t go to far from my computer and phone until after 1200.
I’m grateful that C and I are both able to work, I just wish we could tweak the schedules so that the bulk of the things didn’t fall on me.

Morning! Dh is working from home now. It took an official letter from a higher up telling him (and the other people at the meeting) since he was exposed he must self quarantine for 2 weeks. He planned on having his 2 employees still go into the office, but i talked him into letting them work from home too.
So he’s set up in the basement and I’m trying to keep the kids upstairs as long as possible. I told him he needs to have reasonable expectations tho, and plan breaks to play with them throughout the day.
The sun is supposed to come out this afternoon so we’ll get out on a bike ride or something, hopefully.

Looks like MH's work is going to two shifts to minimize people in the office. Hoping he gets 6am-3pm and not 3pm-midnight, but anything to reduce exposure is appreciated.

We just played in the snow for an hour. It's super wet snow and not very cold out so we played in the snow and mud.

Wet and rainy here as well. I think the rain is at least done for today. I'm home, H is at work, E is at MIL who hasn't left her house in days, so I'm not worried about exposure.
WFH is hard for my diet. I figured out I need to come up with a good exercise routine, so I did a 7 minute workout this morning, to break up the first half of the day, then will go for a walk/jog at lunch or use the elliptical on days it's raining. I feel gross and it's only been 5 days.

Morning. I thought I had to work today, but the person that was off had her appointment canceled at the last minute last night and no one texted me. So I went in only to go right back home. I did make a pit stop for bread and I got some. Woohoo!
I forgot about picking up M’s packet for this week at his school, so I have to get back out to do that. Instead of starting the packet today, we’ll just do the stuff he can do online. I can’t believe we are basically homeschooling. I am glad I have a teacher telling me what to do though.

Huge sigh of relief here.
In early March, our mortgage broker quoted us a fantastic rate. When we put in our offer last week, rates had gone up by almost a point due to market craziness and the spike in demand with refinancing, etc.
Since our closing isn't until June, we could wait a bit for things to settle down, so we held tight...which was nerve-wracking b/c what rates kept going up? But she called today with the same rate from a couple weeks back, so we were able to lock in. That will save us a couple grand a year in interest so needless to say I am HAPPY.

I did make a pit stop for bread and I got some. Woohoo! Congrats on the bread! Feels like a major achievement. I think when all this is over, or at least settles down, we will all have a renewed appreciation for fully stocked grocery stores. A history professor I had in high school told us the story of a woman who lived with them briefly after escaping the USSR in the 80s. The first time she went to an American grocery store with my teacher and his wife, she burst into tears, overwhelmed at the selection, fully loaded aisles, etc. I keep coming back to that story. I cannot wait to see a full meat counter again.

Hi! I am sitting with a cup of tea for a bit while the kids play with the legos. I want to bake something but I don’t want to search for recipes. MH’s eye going to heal slower than usual bc they couldn’t patch it. He back to being anxious about school. It is such a roller coaster. They don’t start distance learning til Wednesday so he overthinks and fills in blanks and generally gets in his own way.

also, it's rainy and gross here and the only thing that's been keeping us sane is going out for daily bike/scooter rides, so today is going to be a long day. Actaully a long week b/c I think this is supposed to last a while.

It's been gorgeous here but the rain is supposed to start today.
I found a recipe for Dole Whip cupcakes and they sound amazing so that's on the agenda.
I need to finally figure out how to set up Google classroom.
Honestly so far things are good for us. We have what we need and no one's stir crazy yet.

mwhip Joe Wicks has some great YouTube at home, no equipment needed workouts. Our TKD studio is streaming workouts. It helps to stay in shape and connected. Maybe with your office mates you guys could come up with some daily challenge workouts to help others stay accountable.

I had heard of the legendary Dole Whips and made it my mission to get one while we were at MK. Dragged the fam to the complete opposite side of the park late in the day to grab one before we left...it was worth it. The one I got was mixed with raspberry.

My dogs do not like the ding in between each workout, and the weird voice in the house. I was doing the 30 second push ups and Addie came out to make sure I was okay and somehow hit my phone, pausing it, which I didn't realize until I had done 20 push ups, which I know I can't do in 30 seconds...damn dog! I just ran 3.5 miles. Working out gives me a sense of normalcy and makes me feel so much better. I'm taking screen shots when I finish each workout and sending it to my boss. She will keep me accountable.

Hey. I got a call from H’s teacher this morning laying out the plans for distance learning. I will get an email with links to her schoolwork tomorrow. She said it’s an hour total per day so that shouldn’t be too bad, especially if we break it into 2 sessions. Both girls have fevers now, S has been acting like a crab all morning. No other symptoms so we’ll just stay home and ride it out, unless something pops up to warrant a doctor’s visit. I still have a sinus headache and low fevers off and on, and I’m on day 3 of antibiotics. I guess if the headaches/fever aren’t gone tomorrow I’ll check with my doctor and probably call out of work. It rained a little this morning but I think it’s supposed to get sunny and to almost 50. I’m ready for the warm weather to come.

nam2013 people here are flocking to the coast and the trails. It's crazy. I get wanting to use the time and enjoy the outdoors, but clearly when you see that many cars it should be a sign there's too many people. 🤦♀️
