DH survived the great grocery store run of 2020. I feel like he needs to mark himself safe on FB 😆
Only thing he couldn’t get, oddly, was chicken.
I’m currently *still* waiting for the fridge guy, and playing Barbies with C. We got her an Ariel doll at DW and I have the tendency to break into Little Mermaid songs when we play with her. This is NOT pleasing to Boss Lady.

MH and I have moved on and are definitely leaving for FL tonight. But still have sooo much to do before we hit the road. So I got someone to cover tge last hour of the day for me so I can get home and get a jump start. The good news is that the virus doesn’t like warm weather so I do t feel like we are headed into doom. But so many people are canceling their trips that it should be pretty pleasantly low key!
I asked S’s teacher if they were discussing anything about extending the spring break or anything and she said not at all. My work hasn’t even put anything out about planning for teleworking or anything. Actually...our Washington office has put out something to everyone....just my local park has not.

It's not even a city mailbox, it's a residential one for an apartment complex. I told him he needed to go to the office and see if they have a key to open it. "oh, well, it's not an apartment. It's like a condo." "Go. to. their. office. That is a LOT of money to lose." "Yeah, I know." But, he really isn't acting like this is an urgent matter.

And our schools are closed through April 24th. 🤯
MH is currently taking online history and bio classes. He'll learn, lecture to the kids and they'll participate in labs with him. Not because of this, but for other reasons I ordered cursive workbooks so now I'll order more variery.

And teachers are working on packets today and monday and they will have a plan for us early next week. |

Welp. Governor just ordered schools in the whole state to be closed here for a minimum 2 weeks; spring break isn’t til the week after Easter.
It’s going to be a looooong month.

Guise, it's out there whether it's confirmed or not, don't wait for it to be confirmed in your area to do social distancing. We have two potential cases right here on our board. It really scary but we can do something by staying home and slowing the spread. I am actively trying to shift from anxiety to control in that we are helping the cause by staying home starting tonight basically. We are all in this together. We already have the school books at home, they were given to us at the beginning of the year and I Cadence's teacher gives us a paper at the beginning of the month telling us everything they will cover that month, so if the school stays closed past spring break we're prepared to continue learning.

LAUSD and SDSD just closed all their school sites. We’re sandwiched in between them so it’s definitely coming.

Postman was flagged down and he gave the runner a talking to because he shouldn't be using those mailboxes and the head partner also gave him a talking to. He also wants to talk to the receptionist because the runner told him that was who told him to put the mail in there.

MIL is driving me nuts because L is sick. She's insisting I take her to the ER because she has a fever, sore throat and is tired. And it "came out nowhere". No. I'm not running to the Dr, especially the ER. Especially with everything going on right now. If I really think she needs to I'll take her in, of course, but right now she's fine.

Our governor declared that all schools need to be closed next week. I haven’t heard anything official from H’s school yet but they already had Thursday and Friday off so it’s just an extra 3 days at this point. S’s school’s director sent out and email saying they are closed next week. I am not stressing out over this, it’ll be fine. I am starting to get annoyed because it’s all that’s on my fb feed. I’m over reading about it.

Costco wasn’t bad and fully stocked. There were tons of people in line to get memberships.

RI has moved spring break to next week so all schools will be closed but give some time for preparations if we need to stay closed. The governor said it will be week by week. Daycares are allowed to stay open since she understands some people need it. I signed C up for care on Monday but I don’t really want to send him. I also can’t get work done and parent him. When dh gets home tonight we will work out a plan. lfig I don’t know that it’s been determined that the virus doesn’t like warm weather. I think it’s a hope but given that it is already in FL and other places outside the country that are warmer, in skeptical that it is. Is S going on this trip? I also wonder if your area is really unaffected or is it that you don’t have tests, which is something I’ve heard from other states that were thinking they were clear. Just be careful is all I’m saying really! |

I took the afternoon off cause I had to deliver bags of crafting goodies that I got for B’s class craft of Leprechaun traps for next week. I threw in a couple Kleenex boxes and lysol wipes and the teacher said she loved me 😂
Then I headed to the grocery store and since i had time did my weekend shop. We’re home now and I’m on my second load of laundry in with one more to go. EVERYTHING is getting washed; outerwear, touques, mitts, indoor shoes/sandals, lunch kits and backpacks, everything!
