Start giving them different names every time you go and see if they do the same thing. My aunt has a very dutch name. There’s a book about a woman who called herself Amy at Starbucks, my aunt took after her and now does the same . ETA I now see that this in no way is an accurate response to the earlier post 😂. My driver that is from Africa gives all of our brokers his last name, it's spelled differently but still a semi common first name here. Gets less questions lol.

I've been at my job for 12 years. Certain people still spell my name wrong in emails, but I think they are just bitches being bitches.
My Aunt spells mh's name wrong. It annoys me more than it does him. He has a very basic, easy name and she always adds an extra L on the end. WTF? Who even spells it that way?

MJ and M and both back to their normal selves. I'm mostly good, just feeling weak. A is very weak. He was in the bathroom all night. So hopefully after resting all day he'll feel better tomorrow. J is still in the clear. Hoping it stays that way.

Morning.
Sorta busy day at work. Looking forward to the weekend after a long work week. I starting g having this weird feeling in one of my legs last night and this morning it’s still there. About an hour in to work I realize it’s the same sensation I had that time I got shingles so now I’m super paranoid and my skin is crawling every time I feel it. I really hope it doesn’t turn into shingles.

Oh my goodness. Those girls look so adorable, @klongoria and tgrimes! Like flamingo, Josie has been updating us on the number of days until they reach 100 days, but it’s next week and nothing has come home so I’m pretty sure it will only be in class activities. Depending on what day it falls on, I might see if I can stop in to volunteer.

I need to get my ass in gear to clean up the aftermath of yesterday afternoon. I discovered X took a bowl of cheese balls and dumped them under his bed because he was trying to feed them to the rabbit. It’s so sweet I can’t even be mad.
I also have tons of homework, and should get to Target for some crafts to keep the kids busy over the long weekend.
Scrolling Pinterest for Valentine’s party ideas in an effort to trick myself into thinking I’m being productive is no longer working.

For the life of me I will never get the younique spellings. It doesn't make a common name special--just hard to spell. On a related note, I've always heard all the jokes about Starbucks going out of their way to spell customer names wrong. I don't SB often so I've never noticed. Snip Start giving them different names every time you go and see if they do the same thing. MH's alter ego is Marty Bishell. I think I need to adopt one. I should be something annoying like Jubilee Sunshine. The girls get really excited when I let them give their names at restaurants when we're waiting to be called for a table. When we look at fancy houses we have no intention of buying we make up fancy names for the realtor.

They very often misspell my name, it is imho the most common way to spell it... I’m most annoyed when they reply to an email I wrote them and they still can’t spell it the right way. Read people read. I don’t even try anymore. I have to repeat it. They spell it wrong. I tell everybody when I’m picking up an order that my name is Jo (and Starbucks will often still spell it Joe even tho they see me!)

I’m going back to CO next weekend. Alone. Tim talked me into coming out there so I can sit on the couch and do absolutely nothing for a few days. Sounds heavenly.
One of my sisters lives in SD and she’s getting married next June. I agreed to come out with all the kids. I think the plan is to rent an RV, drive my local sisters to Vegas to pick up my mom and SD, then we swing through CO to get Tim, and on to SD. It’s going to be quite the adventure.

inthekitty My dad’s alter egos are: Ferguson, Biff, and Vladimir. I need to adopt one. People often ask me to spell my name and it’s a bitperplexing. I always tell them it’s just like the month.

Charlie is spending the entire day at preschool. I haven’t been alone all day since 2013. I didn’t have any plans and I laughed in my poor husband’s face last night when he told me I should just come home and relax. I don’t really know how to do that yet. So instead I went to target with one of the moms from Josie‘s class. It was really fun because between the two girls we feel like we have maybe 75% knowledge of what happens in the classroom. They both have such different stories to share and fixate on such different things. I’m back home now looking through all of the Valentine’s Day stuff I have. We’re doing little jars of Play-Doh for both of their classes. I wanted to add a cookie cutter but all the ones I’m finding are super pricey. Does anyone know where I can get a container of heart shaped cookie cutters. I need 22 of them! If that doesn’t work, does anybody have any other ideas what would look cute with a little container of Play-Doh?

So cute klong11 and tgrimes! They make delightful little old ladies B’s teacher mentioned celebrating the upcoming 100th day in her weekly email newsletter, but did not mention any dressing up. I’m cautiously optimistic... I didn’t have to do anything for H’s 100th day 🙌🏻 They made crowns in class and did some activities.

Too cute klong11 and tgrimes, they look great. It’s 100th day today and they were told they could dress up and B nixed that as quickly as I could ask if he wanted to. Thank goodness. He had to fill a bag of 100 things and with 2 days notice we did Lego pieces, I knew our 2 million pieces of lego would come in handy at some point.

MIL misspelled my name until a few years after we got married. Probably intentional.

I don't get the "bring 100 things". What a pain! We do the dress up like a 100 year old. It's next week and C is alllll about it.

People commonly spell my first name with 1 L, which is not the common spelling of my name. I don't get it.
More annoying is when I email someone and they reply back, thinking my last name is my first name. Which it could be someones first name, but if you read my email signature, it clearly isn't. For example, if my name was Sara Smith, when they reply to my email, signed Sara Smith, they respond to Smith. It's such a common thing, my boss calls me by my last name.

All of the ziplocks for Cadence's school got hung up in the hallway. Some kids' items fill up the gallon bag, whereas others, like Cadence, chose small things that barely took up any space in their bag. It's just a visual learning experience.

C gets called by our last name from time to time. I'd get it if our last name looked anything like a first name since Clark is a common last name, but it's not like our last name is Douglas or something. Plus our last name is horrible so who would name a kid that? Haha

95% of the time I have to spell my name because there are so many “common” ways to spell it. If I don’t usually they spell it with a C. It really doesn’t bother me any more because I’ve dealt with it my whole life. Last name too, I have to specify K. nam2013 I’m sorry. I hope it happens for you soon. Cute tgrimes and klong11. I especially like the lines on M’s forehead.

I just got a call from the school nurse. S isn't feeling well. No fever, yet. But 1/3 of his school is apparently sick so I am just waiting for it.
MH is working from home so I sent him to get him.
S is never sick and was just sick last month. This stinks.
