Lets start anew with only the top contenders as of now
Bernie Pete Liz Biden
Amy
I think we can leave the discussion of all the others in the old thread?

They should.

From what I saw Pete and Bernie are virtually tied for delegates at ~25% each, Liz coming in 3rd w/ 18%, Joe 4th barely breaking the 15% threshold and Amy close behind but not getting any. New Hampshire is in less than a week. (also I'm sad about Kamala, Julian and Cory, but at least 2 of them are still in the Senate fighting the fight)

Are all the others going to drop out? They should. Well I'm not putting them in this thread so hopefully the universe listens They just dont seem viable no matter how much ad buy they're doing.

Only the top 5 should be in the debate tomorrow. Why are Steyer and Yang showing up? Do they have any chance at this point?

I think Bernie takes N.H., followed by Mayor Pete, then Warren, then Biden. I don’t see Amy picking up delegates, but if she does it will be very few. I suspect Amy holds on til S.C. and then she’s out. If she doesn’t pick up any delegates before then, she isn’t viable. I’m hoping Liz takes Nevada (if she and Castro are smart, he is already campaigning there for her) followed by Biden, then Bernie, then Pete. Biden takes S.C., followed by Warren, then Bernie then Pete.
These 4 will take turns being first thru Super Tuesday.
Bernie, Pete, Biden and Liz will all be in thru April. Maybe May before it starts to whittle down from there. It’s going to be a long few months.
I have spoken. Lol

Are all the others going to drop out? They should. Doubtful. Especially Bloomberg who just recently joined.

I'll pour one out for Kamala.
I hope Liz, and Amy, start doing better. I suspect Warren at least will. I need to see her win one of these early states. I can't stand any of the three men left in this race. The three in the top. The rest are dead to me, you don't count.

Lol This is close to how I see it shaking out as well, although I think Pete goes third (maybe 4th) in NH, with Liz taking second. I think, if he is still in it, Steyer may push Pete to 4th in South Carolina. He polls high there, double digits almost always, and often higher than Pete. Pete is going to get hurt in the next few states, I think. He doesn't poll higher than 4th usually and I think some folks are finding his bravado after declaring himself winner in IA before the results were in a bit much. Bernie will get a bump from IA, since it looks like he will come in as the winner of the popular vote here. I know Amy wants to hold on to see how she does in the midwest but I definitely think money will dry up before then.

For some reason Amy's campaign is the only one I havent been solicited by. hmmmmm liz and pete I threw $ at (as well as Kamala, Cory & Castro) so I get a barrage of text/email asking for more. Somehow I get requests from Bernie and Biden even though I've never donated a dime towards either. I'm actually scared to donate any more towards liz because they seem to drop out right after I donate.

My entire family jokes that if I give money to a campaign they drop out, so I should start charging to sabotage campaigns if people dislike someone. (the same has been said for tv shows that I like, and them getting canceled) Shortly after Cory dropped out I got my Booker 2020 sticker in the mail from donating. That was way harsh. We keep it on the kitchen counter as a reminder.

Like should I throw some money to Yang? Steyer? will that make them go?

I wish Bloomberg would just drop out but continue to run ads against trump just out of the goodness of his heart and hatred of that miserable orange cretin.

I actually think he will continue to run ads when it finally sinks in that he isn't getting the nomination. I just don't know how long that will take. ETA: I am saying this based on some pledge he made in the past about $$$ for Democratic campaigns.

I saw a Bloomberg yard sign in my city for the first time this week 😩 I really wanted to vote for Castro on my birthday, not another one of these white people.

Welp. And the response from the higher ups isn't that great. "It's only a problem there. We're not like that."

Oh and since whatever candidate I decide is my number one seems to drop out very soon after, I’d like to take this opportunity to declare that my biggest wish is a Gabbard/Bloomberg ticket.

She’s the only one I feel excited about at this point. I am curious how the IA results will affect voters in SC. Electability is such a huge thing for Biden and his IA results really didn’t help him make that case.
