I wish Bloomberg would just drop out but continue to run ads against trump just out of the goodness of his heart and hatred of that miserable orange cretin. I actually think he will continue to run ads when it finally sinks in that he isn't getting the nomination. I just don't know how long that will take. ETA: I am saying this based on some pledge he made in the past about $$$ for Democratic campaigns. He has openly stated he will continue to push anti Trump compaigns if he's not the nominee

I was refraining from posting this because it got mixed reviews (some people took offense, some people did not) but it is making me a little more 🤔 in light of that other news.

I don't know what to do with this answer. It was half word salad, and then when she finally started saying things it was extremely unsatisfying.

She could have expressed the same sentient with “inspiring” instead.

I understand where she thought she was going with this. But it’s like telling my little girl “You are so bossy....and by that I mean you have leadership skills” Words have negative connotations. Following it up with betters words doesn’t make it ok. I don’t like this one bit. And it makes me question her judgement.

Like any white woman who has done a bit of anti racism research/work knows about the stereotypes used against Black women. Aggressive, pushy, loud....no. Do not use those words. Even if you are complimenting. It’s too easy to get misinterpreted. And I know a lot of people are like she’s learning and listening. But...I just want more from the next leader of our country. I want someone who has it down right now. And when I read the stories about her POC staff quitting, I’m doubting the listening part.

"Listening and learning" has become a really nice way of cloaking yourself in allyship while not actually having to do anything meaningful or change your behavior. There needs to be more. But I guess thanks for listening, Liz.

GODDAMNIT This is not making me less mad about Castro being gone. I don't even know who the fuck I'm going to vote for in the stupid goddamn primary. Ugh. Yeah. We had some amazing people and considering there were what, 24 of them? We some how got stuck with this rag tag bunch. I just want to vote for Kamala, dammit 😭

South Carolinian here!
I'm struggling with who to vote for. I'm leaning towards Amy, but I'm not even sure if she'll be in it. I like Liz too, but she seems a little too problematic.

The thing is, all the candidates who are left have problems.

The thing is, all the candidates who are left have problems. This is the bench I’m on. They all have problems, and even those that have dropped out were not without problems. I know people loved some of those candidates, and I myself did too. But none of them were perfect. I don’t know, I still support Liz. I trust Julian Castro wholeheartedly. If he stands with Liz and believes in her, I have to trust that. I get that others don’t, and that is completely fine. But at this point, for me, I have to chose between who is left because I cannot even comprehend a world in which we have 4 more years of T. Liz, for me, is the best hope for the future. It doesn’t mean I am not disappointed when she fucks up, but I genuinely thinks she cares and wants to be better. I don’t feel that way about the others.

Is this a thing he seriously believes? It’s like Biden and his “epiphany” fantasy.

Hello I'm also on the angry train. I really would like to exit this vehicle, but I cannot. It's like I can't find a door.
I don't like any of the candidates left. I really don't. There are some I dislike more than others (hello Bernie), but none excite me and everyone has issues. And I'm just mad. I guess Amy is my first choice but she'll probably be out soon too. Have I mentioned that I'm really angry?

I've been voting for a lot of years now and I've really rarely had a candidate I was excited about voting for. They are all usually choosing the lesser of evils, the devil you know not the devil you don't that sort of thing. I know everyone wants to love their candidate but they are all so very flawed just by wanting to be in this top position takes a lot of um, hard to explain. something about them, the personality, drive, wanting to play the game, something I can't exactly explain but makes me think I'd never really be friends or really love that kind of self centered person who thinks they can be the "leader of the free world" so much that they run for president.

I feel like I don’t need perfection but just be non problematic for BIPOC and LGBTQ+. I’m sad that it seems that’s to much to ask in this field.

There's never been a perfect candidate, ever, because people aren't perfect. Hillary made some of the same mistakes in regards to poc that Warren is making now. Unfortunately we're in the position of just having to choose someone who has imperfections that we feel aren't as bad as the other options. But hey, at least they're all miles better than Trump. I just hope whoever ends up with the nomination is someone who can and will beat Trump.
