I’m still at work. But we are winding down. Can’t wait until I get home to bed. Yesterday was crazy socks day at L’s school today is twins day. He is twinning with his friend J. They are wearing Easter shirts they wore last year to the Easter party. Best we could do on short notice.

Morning! C's fever spiked last night and he was pretty miserable through the night so he will obviously be home today. MH is off though so that'll be nice! He can help with preschool drop off and pickup so I don't have to drag all the kids out!

I took the day off to bring a cat to the ophthalmologist. I made the appointment midday so I could nap after bringing C to the bus. Of course today is the day our neighbors who abut our bedroom get a new roof! It sounds like it’s in our house.

Something like this always happens when I plan time to rest. I think the last time I did this the power went out and I spent the time clearing out spoiled food. 😾

I feel worse for dh though. He worked super late last night and will the next two nights so he is sleeping in and going in later. No sleep today though.

Yesterday, Josie came home and told us she ate everything in her lunch box before afternoon snack so the aide took her through the lunch line to buy something.
She has never eaten everything, so this was new territory for me. I don’t know if it was a fluke or not but I stuffed her lunch bag full of extra things just in case.

guster Evie is like that, some days she eats everything (or tells me she does) and some days she barely touches it. I always overpack...I put in what she tells me, then add a few other things. School lunches have been amazing for me, not packing that lunch box a few times a week is great!

We finally decided on a space for the bridal shower. I'm going to take the rental contract and money today. I'm just glad it's done. My SIL said her and her mom would split the cost with me, and I know my mom would too, so it won't be that expensive overall. Now to get invitations printed, which I found yesterday.

Got the boys off to school. I have about an hour before I need to leave for my hair appt. I haven’t had one since the week we moved, so looooong overdue. It’s my last weekday off for a while I think, so I’m not planning to do much.

More MOTN vomit here 😷 B came into our room around 3 to say his tummy hurt, then he suddenly took off running for his bathroom. Nothing like the sounds of throwing up to get you fully awake!

He seems much more chipper this morning and has been asking for food (neither of which happened yesterday) so I’m hoping that was the last of it and he can go back tmrw. I had to cancel my volunteering, which I feel bad about, but I offered to come Thursday if she needs me.

Last twin day Cadence had I just went ahead and bought shirts for 2 of her friends and asked them to wear it. They ended up being the only ones who participated other than office staff.

wineallthetime and flamingo hope your kids are feeling better. I was right to assume I wouldn’t make it to work all week. C woke up several times last night with a croupy cough. Breathing treatments turn him into a maniac so he’s now running around destroying stuff. Hopefully he naps and I finally can finish the class I have been saying I’m going to finish everyday for the past week.

klong11 chrisy01 we've never had twin day but I'm glad - I'd imagine all kinds of hurt feelings (ie I wanted to be twins with X but he chose Y, etc.)

kim22, We had a brief time of the breathing treatments making B hyper but fortunately that died down, since he's on them 2 times per day till the end of winter! I hope C mellows out and you can get some stuff done!

Morning! I’m at the salon with my color processing. I had a few more greys to cover this time I blame L for those. Haha.

Nothing else on the agenda today, except forcing H to take a nap. Kid has been so over tired lately. I tried to get him to take a nap yesterday and get him to bed early, neither of which happened. Then he was up at 5:30. It’s going to be a long day if he doesn’t nap.

Also hi!! Work has been keeping me busy but at least it's mostly good busy. On top of my normal workload, I'm also wading through getting my 2020 goals documented and preparing for our May conference (everything has to be done by the start of April), but at least I'm feeling productive.

After 3 days straight of bad reports last week, we let Chase's teacher know that we're paying attention and are starting to take things away for particularly bad behavior. Now when he's misbehaving at school, his teacher will remind him of the consequences and it seems to be helping. I hope it continues and I feel optimistic since he seems very proud that he's doing better. Colin was "helping" without being asked by snubbing Chase to some extent (shorter hugs, tough love) after a bad report. Totally unnecessary but I know he's trying to help. Those kids couldn't be more different.

In other news, my Dad's second round of chemo has to wait a week because his blood pressure bottomed out. The doctor doesn't seem concerned as long as it doesn't continue to be a problem but my Dad was understandably disappointed. In the meantime, he finally spoke with my friend L, who is a cancer survivor herself and lost her husband to cancer last year. She's known my family for years - she was my manager at my first post-college job and became a very close friend - and she even spoke at our wedding. She'd been reaching out to my Dad for awhile and he finally got in contact. She's such an amazingly strong, warm and thoughtful person and she has so much to share. He wrote me such an uncharacteristically effusive email about their chat, and from what she's shared with me, it sounds like he really opened up to her. L is also going to reach out to my Mom since she's going to need a lot of support as well.

I'm sorry that your Dad has to wait for treatment joelies FX that everything is good for next week. I'm happy that he's finding and building a community, having people around that understand is such a priceless part of the equation.
