I'm annoyed. MH doesn't have Monday off, so I'll be with kids again. You know what day he does have off that no else does? Presidents day. WTF? Any chance he can agree to take off for ONE of the kids’ holidays this year? That is so annoying. |

I actually don't mind no school days because the girls entertain each other for hours at this age. They disappear in the family room and sometimes I only see them when they try to sneak food from the pantry. Living the dream... |

I got my car inspection today. The place I went dh has gone to before a few times. I was able to walk in and get it done right away even though it was 4:45. I was just looking at their hours not expecting they would do it so close to closing. I was psyched to scratch it off my to do list. The mechanic, probably in his late 60’s, points out a waiting area through a door in the back. I go back there and there’s a desk and a bunch of tattered red velvet upholstered dining room chairs. It’s dark and dingy aside from the huge tv playing PORN!! I was dying. Like what’s happening? Am I being raped or murdered? Will I be on 20/20? How do I bolt out of here without looking like a maniac? I ended up walking out saying “be cool” in my head over and over. I told the mechanic I’d rather wait outside. He gave me a look like he couldn’t understand why. Luckily my car was done soon and nothing bad happened to me. Well except the mental images of leather and nakedness that will never leave my brain 😬 OMG. Like wut?? Maybe one of the shop hands had it on and forgot to turn it, but still. PORN at work?? Long wow. |

Since we’re annoyed at H’s today, I’ll add to it. Every time he comes home and we are already home, he rings the doorbell for the kids to open the door. It used to be fun for them, but now all they do is fight about who gets to open it. He sent me a text about being on the way and I unlocked the front door so he wouldn’t ring the doorbell. I was in no mood to deal with that because after the dentist all I have been doing is yelling at M and cleaning up poop from M2. (Side note: PT can suck it- this kid has pooped 3 times since getting home)
Well when he gets home, we are all sitting down at the table and he opens the door, then closes it back and rings the damn doorbell. Cue the boys running to the door and M2 in a meltdown. 😡 ANNOYED.

Ha! Looks like I answered that one! 😉 I’m good. A little bit of drowning at work but I’m going to telework Friday to get a bunch done and have shopping plans with friends Saturday so things to look forward to. |

Glad you made it out wedding!! What in the world?! lahdeedah oh that is annoying, hope he gets an earful. K is supposed to start daycare on Tuesday. So at 3:15 today, the daycare emails saying her start date is being pushed to tentatively 2/3 because the city hasn't inspected the new rooms. WTAF. So I shall be working remote next week and then my MIL can most likely come back the last week of Jan. I sent a curt email back asking how likely is the Feb date, bc I can't be surprised like this again and will need to find a nanny or daycare..they claim things are moving but I will be asking for an update next week. I am going to need to work some this weekend to get ahead. |

Well, the kids wouldn’t eat their dinner. M was fixated on pizza because its their spirit night. The proceeds are being donated to the family of the boy that was shot at school yesterday so they were really pushing it more so than usual.
MH’s coworker’s son attends that high school and said the majority of the kids that are bussed in carry guns because their ride/walk home is very dangerous. This scares the shit out of me.
I feel terribly for that family. Everything I’m seeing says it was an accident.

L is currently crying in the corner. It breaks my heart to hear it but at this point it’s necessary. He was in red at school today. At reading time he became frustrated with a part and put his hands and nails on another kids face. We decided that he had to pick between 2 toys he really loves and he had to throw it in the outside trash. I don’t want to do this but C thinks having him do it might make him think about his actions.

wedding That is nuts. And now I'm curious, ask your H if porn is *always* on at the mechanic's? Lol. lahdeedah you are speaking my language about the blankety-blank doorbell. While our garage door was out of commission we were having to use the front door exclusively, and the shrieking and stampeding that would ensue over who gets to open it when mH would get in were just crazy. I'm so sorry for that family tgrimes . How scary and sad that kids have to deal with that. We have a magnet school in my hometown like that. It's one of the top IB programs in the nation, so attracts kids from all over the city, but it is in literally the worst possible section of town. Not a great combo.

The cat came right up to me when I got home and I shot it into his mouth no problems. He knows it makes him feel better. These ulcers are making him smell like death and the other cats are staying away from him because of it. |

Supper didn’t go quite as well as I’d hoped. I decided to get a chicken sandwich, took one bite and that was it. The texture triggered my gag reflux and I asked the waitress for a salad instead. A friend insisted on watching the girls while we went to dinner, which was nice. We picked them up on the way home and I accidentally hit S on the cheek with the car door when I was opening it. Now she has a big bruise, and I feel terrible. Then the girls were getting ready for bed and H stepped on one of the little hatchimals and actually broke skin and was bleeding. I am glad it’s bedtime.

I know calicivirus can cause ulcers but I’ve don’t recall them smelling. They feel like it's from some sort of mouth trauma or ingestion of something he shouldn't have. But, there was nothing in his x-ray and we don't know what it could possibly have been. ETA: its the sore on/below his nose that smells. It leaks pus and fluid and is really gross. |

Thank goodness the teachers have been good and it's only now 14 months until she is old enough to go to N's school. Plus side, we are saving a half months worth of daycare.. |

chrisy01 that breaks my heart. Did he acknowledge that he didn't do the right thing? I'm a sucker and probably would rescue the toys from the trash and let him earn them back. Hoping he has a better day tomorrow
