M woke me up at 2 because she was going to be sick. She puked from 2-4. I gave her zofran after the 3rd puke but it took a bit to kick in. She’s been off her reflux meds since the middle of December so I thought we were in the clear.
Anyway, H was coughing all night and MH (who doesn’t know how to be quiet when he comes home) stayed out late watching the game. Therefore, I barely slept.
Hopefully M will let me take a nap later.

We had a playdate yesterday with a kid from C's class. I'd never met the mom before and she was really nice but while we were there she was emptying her dishwasher, cleaning her kitchen, ect. That's weird, right???

That's weird, right??? I would do that if it was a close friend....but not someone I didn’t know yet. Kinda rude.

You definitely deserve a nap tgrimes. Did she have any food last night that may have triggered the reflux? wineallthetime Yes, weird if she was doing it while you were in a different room. If you were sitting in the kitchen chatting while she was doing it, I wouldn’t think it was weird.

tgrimes sorry about the rough night. I hope you have a great cup of coffee this morning! wineallthetime I don't know, I'm that awkward person when I first meet someone who would be cleaning because sitting down and having a conversation/making eye contact, is awkward for me until I know your personality. I wouldn't think too much into it. Evie was complaining about a sore throat last night. She woke me at 3am that her throat hurt so bad she couldn't swallow, she had a temp of 99.7, so I gave her some motrin and laid in bed next to her, breathing in my face, for 30 minutes until she fell back to sleep. Her temp was normal this morning, but she clearly got this from school since we didn't leave the house all weekend, so I didn't send her to school. I'm going to get some Emergen-C after the gym at lunch so I don't catch whatever the shit is. And my boss got me out of the meetings today. As long as there isn't anything that relates to me, then they may come get me.

Morning.
It’s wet and rainy here. I got both kids off to school before it got bad, so I’m counting that as a win.
The RSVPs to the late text started at 715am. The group text is now named as Ms. <teacher’s name> class.
I think it’s supposed to rain all day, so I’m not planning on going anywhere. If it’s not too bad later, I may hit the gym.

What do you all give for a sore throat, besides Motrin or Tylenol? And the sore throat lollipops that I left at home...

Wondering since she had a tomato sauce twice in 48 hours if it could be that? You probably have done that before with no issue though, so maybe not likely. Stomach issues are so hard figure out.

Does she like warm tea? mwhip M asks for it when he has a cold. I usually load it with honey.

Oh man tgrimes. I’m sorry. So you think it was the food or does she seem to have a bug? I hate that you’re still dealing with this with her. Poor thing

Never had a fever or anything and I sent a text to her teacher and she said no one has been out with the stomach bug. I’m assuming reflux. My problem is that I’ve never been able to narrow down foods that cause it. It’s usually different things she’s eaten. The last time she vomited because of reflux was last May and she ate grilled chicken & green beans.

I think my tap water is giving me heartburn. Fiji, Life Water, I think Core, there’s others but my mind is drawing a blank. The bottle will usually say if it is a pH higher than 7. They say most tap water is around 7. So the higher pH ... like 8 and 9 are better because they can help neutralize the acid. If the bottle doesn’t say..,then it’s probably lower and you don’t want that. I have well water and bought a water testing kit on Amazon for like $10 or so. Turns out our well water was an 11 so I drink that all the time now.

Ugh tgrimes , I'm sorry. Glad she seems to be OK but still... FX for naps all around! Re: playdate-cleaning, would totally depend on circumstances. If I'm sitting in the kitchen chatting and she's puttering around doing light stuff (or it's a good friend), fine. But heavy-duty mopping or whatever and/or me being in the living room while she's scrubbing away, yeah, a little strange.

Morning! It's raining here too. I'm watching the pool fill and thinking we're going to have to let some water out, I will let DH deal with that C is at school and the bus will be here shortly for B, then I head to the school myself. I'm volunteering in B's class each Tuesday, starting today. They have "take home readers" so I will be listening to the kids read and then packing new books for them to take home tonight.

Sometimes it can be the buildup of something before it “catches up” to you. My biggest triggers were red sauce, chocolate, and soda. If I was having a good “spell”...I would eat something like spaghetti because it is my fav, and not get sick and think I was in the clear. Then the next day I might have pizza or chocolate or soda, or whatever. And then it finally hit. Like it built up to it. And sometimes at it’s worst...the plainest things would cause me problems. Grilled chicken and a baked potato. Reflux is weird. And sucks. And even after my surgery 2 years ago...I still struggle with it. Just not as bad and to the point of puking like before.

Happy Tuesday!
Schoolwork is already kicking my giant ass, tennis elbow is bothering me again, and Pete called me last night to apologize for being a jerk on Sunday.
That’s all I have to report.

I just got a call from the job I interviewed for, but I didn’t answer it. He left a voicemail. I’m nervous about listening to it.
After I interviewed, I started having second thoughts, but can’t figure out if it’s just me being lazy/not wanting to have to deal with a second job, or if it’s something more and I should listen to my gut because it’s not right for me.
I think they may want more than what I’m willing to give, but I also could take them up on it and do it for the time being. I would be doing it just to have extra money to finish all the projects I want done to this house.
I guess the first step is to find out exactly what he wants/expects.
Sorry for the word vomit. I’m just venting my anxieties I guess.
