What’s happening ladies?

My mom comes Friday so we are getting the house in order. She’s staying about 3-4 weeks while I do overnights for work.

One of my work buddies is on vacation this week. He starts at 600 with me so the first hour will be really quiet.

I'm at work. I've caught H's cold and have white spots on my tonsils. It hurt to swallow a bit yesterday but it's not as bad today. I don't have a fever or anything so hopefully it's just spots from an infection and not strep.

Allergies are a bitch right now for both Cadence and myself.
She slept in my bed again last night because she was crying at 2:30 because mh wouldn't sleep with her, so I told her to come to my bed.
It's a bad habit, but at 2am the only thing I'm trying to do is sleep.

Would it be bad of me to tell her if she doesn't sleep all night in her room by herself then she can't have the tablet at all the next day? She has no legitimate reasoning behind her not sleeping, her room is too dark, we get a brighter nightlight, now there's too much light, her nose is stuffed up, she is seeing shadows, etc. etc. I don't actually know how long this has been going on, since mh doesn't tell me every time he goes in there at night. But, her coming to bed with me started after she came home from Grandma's and she "couldn't get used to our house". *insert eye roll*

Morning. So yesterday Dh told me he had an inflamed fingernail, that it hurt a lot and that he needed to get it checked pit somewhere this week. After a few hours it hurt so bad he called the doctors, who said to put wet bandages around it and to keep an eye on it. Fast forward to later that night and his finger swelled up and became all purple. He went down to an after hours gp clinic, where after waiting for two hour they sent him to a surgeon (!) to cut his finger open, where he waited another 1.5 hours, to only then find out there’s no pus and the infection is beginning to spread internally... He’s now on antibiotics for 10 days and needs to go to the surgeon again tomorrow. Wtf.

TL;DR; my h got an inflamed fingernail and is now on abx for 10 day because it began to spread...

nam2013 I know healthcare is different there, but OMg that’s a bit much. Wonder why the regular clinic couldn’t prescribe antibiotics.

joelies Hope you made it in safe. Has C’s fingernail gotten better. He may need abx if it’s infected, too. Maybe a call to the nurse will do so Yh won’t have to take him in.

Apparently since the needed to cut it open they needed a surgeon (a plastic surgeon no less 😂). A normal gp would do this I assume, but apparently the rules are different in an after hours clinic...

Morning! Busy day today. I have to take MH’s truck to get a new windshield because he had a rock chip that spidered out. Then I have to go pick up cpap replacement supplies for S, then I am taking Java to the vet because something is wrong with her foot.

Morning from Calgary. I made it in a bit early last night, which was amazing. On the flight, I was sitting mixed in with a family of 6, including twin 4 year olds. So I was missing the boys before I even took off. Boo. BUT on the plus side, it's certainly cold here but not unbearable for a few minutes at a time.

Anyhow I got pulled into an all-day off-site meeting so I will be MIA, as usual. Just wanted to check in and say hi while I can.

Morning. M took a long and late nap yesterday, so he was up later last night. I let him sleep in this morning, so I just dropped him off at DC. Making a Target run now and back home to do a few things. Happy Monday folks.

Morning all.

I decided to stay home yesterday and not venture out. I was taking a risk cause they can get a little antsy after too much time inside, but we had a day of movies, picnics, board games, building forts, having hot chocolate and making cookies. I think they needed a reset from the busy week of MH leaving and the stress/emotions that surround that, they were so good and content being at home.

I'm watching my 3 niece's today. I'm cranky and the kids are driving me nuts!

We have a playdate after school. I've never met the mom so hoping it's not awkward!

Morning

I spent most of the weekend in bed. This bug has really gotten to me. Still coughing like crazy, and my ears have been clogged since Tuesday. It is making me insane. I finally went to urgent care yesterday and am on 842 meds so hopefully they finally clear in the next day or so, b/c I can't take much more of this.

On the plus side, I can't hear anything, like everything is in such a fog, so I haven't heard the kids when they wake up and MH has finally gotten up with them

I was reading TB vs HIH thread. Do any of y'all remember the poster that would occasionally come on N13? She didn't have kids and wrote erotica on the side or something?

Also, it was upper 60s all weekend (sorry vino), and MH took the kids out most of the day both days so it was nice to just get to rest by myself. But everytime they came home, B would declare "I need to go see mommy" and come upstairs and climb into be and just snuggle up on me. So cute. Yesterday he actually stayed and watched a whole episode of some HGTV show with me just snuggling in, all sweaty and stinky from running like a beast at the park.

Definitely the highlight of my weekend.
