How's everyone?
I'm exhausted from the long weekend of running around, late nights, and early mornings. But I just ate cookie cake for breakfast so today will be a good day.
I want to get the kiddie pool and sprinkler out for the boys today. It's another beautiful day and I want to take advantage before it rains all weekend.

So so so so tired. I long for a nap today but I just am not thinking it will happen, too much to do. H is at work today it's one of two days he works today. It's been a rough weekend for communication so I am kind of ready for the break but it's unfortunate that it means solo duty with the kids .

Also tired. Do not want to be at work today. I should have taken the entire week off. Thankfully it's Wednesday though.

Very tired, but it's ok. We had a really relaxed holiday which is what I wanted.
Got up at 6 today to go run and discovered that Lilah's diaper had leaked. So she and my bed were wet. We got her cleaned up and I did my run. I also walked the dog after. I'm already over 5,000 steps for the day.
My mom is coming over to eat the lemon, blueberry, and pecan bread I made yesterday for breakfast. I'm thinking she and I could take Lilah shopping for a loveseat. I also want to get my haircut. It's too long for summer heat!

I'm good. H is still having a rough time sleeping. But I'm working on getting him back on track now that his tooth has cut through. Going to see Wonder Woman today with my bff.

Also tired today. The nights of 3 wake ups suck because the last one is usually at 5 and then I don't fall asleep before DS gets up at 545/6. I long for the one wake up nights. I don't even care about sttn, I just want 1 wake up. But I also want it to happen somewhat organically. Someday...
Otherwise, we've been gearing up for potty training this weekend! I feel like all we've been talking about in my house is underwear, goodbye diapers, big boys, etc. I have to go to the dollar store to make a poster board game of successes and create a prize box. And then were ready to go! (I am pulling out all the stops so that this doesn't drag out)

Morning! hangry good luck this weekend! We did the 3-day method and it worked well. classymrsa that bread sounds delicious! I have a dermatologist appt this afternoon and need to run a couple errands. We are driving up to visit my ILs tomorrow so I guess I need to pack everybody for that. I know I shouldn't complain bc we spend so much time with my family, but coming off the trip to Maine and knowing we're about to drive to VA, I'm not eager for another 7-hour car trip, and the set-up of their house isn't great with little kids. Le sigh.

Yea this Wednesday is just a fake Monday so it sucks. I was NOT ready to go back to work today. Last night I realized that my hair was a hot mess and I probably should have washed it before coming back to work. Oh well..
So this leap has been crazy for C. On Saturday while we were at the lake, he helicoptered around in his PnP and was facing the opposite direction that I laid him down. He hasn't stopped doing it ever since and this morning he ROLLED for the first time back to tummy. I put him down in his crib so I could get dressed and I came back to him giving me a "HELP MOM!" look. I couldn't stop laughing!

Morning! We had a nice weekend but I could tell the kids were off their schedules and cranky, so I guess the silver lining of being back at work means back to some structure?! I just need to make it through today and tomorrow and then I have all next week off.

flamingo I wanted to ask you about B's speech therapy. So at O's 3 yr appt, the doc said that his speech wasn't as clear (articulate) as it should be by now but thinks he will work it out and won't recommend Speech therapy just yet. I'm wondering if B had a similar issue and I'm basically trying to figure out if I should ask for the referral anyway or work on it for a couple months on our own.

Hi lovelies! This is my WFH setup today: MIL is supposed to be watching the kids so I can for real work, but D had an awful night and was exhausted this morning, so I put her down for a nap while MIL took DS to the beach. They still aren't back so I guess this is what I'm dealing with until further notice. It's fine for like 5 minute increments until she gets bored and cries and I have to go inside to find new toys for her. MH is home but obviously he DGAF about anyone but himself so here we are.

I'm getting ready to go embarass myself at Walgreens. If I buy 2 packs of Huggies, 1 pack of pullups & a Poise sizing kit, everything comes out to be 25 cents a piece after using coupons and getting Ibotta rebates.

I'm currently laughing at the fact my almost 2 year old and 8 month old are wearing the same size bathing suit.

classymrsa That bread sounds so good. If I ever find a minute to bake I'll have to try it. tgrimes Couponing bad ass. waitwhat I'm shocked at how fast we are going through clothes for AB. He's somewhere between 12-18 months. Meanwhile I just packed up the last of the 3 months stuff for AV (and that was only because I wanted to store it all together and was tired of having it in two places). Crazy how they can be so different. flamingo That sounds exhausting. H asked if we could spend 1 night at his parents Monday into Tuesday. I was like "gulp", ummmmm ok, but only if you pack. Needless to say we didn't stay lol. dashook Looks like beautiful weather. I hear ya though on the constantly getting bored. I've started just dumping out a container of toys onto the LR rug hoping to get even 30 mins of work done. Day 1 was good. By Day 3 it was down to like 10 minutes holding their attention lol. Next trick, anybody? Edit tag

Well AV slept through the night last night!!! But I'm not fully convinced it wasn't an anomaly. But still I'll take it. Which means instead of sleeping I was up with AB who kept waking every hour doing his screaming thing and wouldn't calm down until I grabbed him.... poor H didn't sleep at all.
My babies are 8 months today!!! Woo hoo!! I see the light!! They both sprouted two teeth over the past week+ and I've noticed a total difference in their personality. I love it!
Just booked our hotel for Ed Sheeran in Philly next Wednesday. We have the whole week off. I was also supposed to do Thu/Fri/Sat in Lake George with the family but I feel like going from Philly to Lake George is gonna blow.

The AC was broken at the office so we got to finish up the rest of the work day at home! I have never been so thankful for a broken AC and 97 degree temps!

My friend who's pregnant texted me saying she's annoyed that a coworker might have to bring her two kids to her baby shower next month because she isn't sure if she can find a sitter. Pregnant friend says she doesn't want the chaos of babies at the shower but doesn't want to be a bitch and flat out say she can't bring her kids.... 1. Don't want chaos because of a baby? Uh, good luck pushing out something that doesn't cause chaos 2. I really hope someone tells you that you can't bring your kid somewhere in the future and you see how it feels 3. Yes it's is kinda bitchy not letting your coworker bring her kids 4. I hope this isn't your way of telling me I can't bring my kids.
WWN16 do? I wasn't planning to bring DS, but was kinda planning to bring L since she's still little and still nursing. Knowing the mom to be is annoyed by kids at the shower do I leave her home? There's no guarantee that H will be home to watch the kids, but I could have my parents as a backup.

Ugh tjanca22 that's tough, especially bc yours is a nursing baby, but I would probably try to leave her home with your H or parents, now that your friend has made that comment. I would also kind of wonder if this is her passive-aggressive way of saying 'no kids' to you, but I hate to judge bc obviously I don't know her!

tjanca22 So I'm the bitch that would bring L just because of her text. lol. Is it possible to reply back with something about how hard it is to find child care sometimes and since L is still nursing you were planning on bringing her?
