It was raining, lightning, thundering on my drive in. When I left home, it was 39. By the time I got to work, it was 36. It's supposed to rain all day, then we are getting ice sometimes overnight, switching to snow, with up to 8" before end of day tomorrow.
I'm going to be one of those people at the store after work...because I need vegetables and protein in my house to stay on my diet!

I think I only got a total of 2.5 hours of sleep last night. H kept coming in my room and I kept returning him to his. The kid was wide awake from 12-3:15. MH returned him to his room twice and I did it 3 times. The last time I was in there for 1.5 hours. He finally fell asleep so I went back to bed. 5 minutes later he was in my room again. WTF kid.
I checked his ears yesterday and one of them is still red but only has a little bit of fluid. I supposed it could be swimmers ear but I don't know enough about canal swelling to be able to tell. Maybe I should try melatonin.
Anyone have gummy melatonin recs? Do you know what the dosage would be for him? He weighs 33lbs.

She takes 5mg of melatonin, but we’ve worked up to that over the years plus one of her seizure meds causes sleeplessness. But I would probably start with 1mg and work up from there. Zarbees makes a tiny 1mg melatonin that dissolves. I’ve never used the gummies with S so I’m not sure. She’s always done a pill. |

Morning. Yesterday the 17year old who babysit’s S sometimes had multiple seizures and is now admitted in the hospital to figure out what’s going on. She had 1 about a year and a half ago but they thought it was in relation to a concussion she got playing basketball. Now she had multiple yesterday so will likely get diagnosed with epilepsy. My heart breaks for her. And selfishly for me. I feel guilty even worrying about myself in this...but she was going to be my sitter when I returned to work in March. But she will loose her license for 6 months now, and even then...I don’t want her to drive with S because you never know when one will happen. Plus, can I trust her alone with S even if she wasn’t driving...what if she had a seizure, S doesn’t understand how to get help. Ugh. I have no idea what I will do.

It’s nice having a morning where we didn’t have to jump up for something. I made the kids blueberry muffins this a.m. and now we’re just waiting on the bus. I have a teeth cleaning/checkup at 1 (good times).

S is much better today but I kept him home anyway, just to be safe. My dad actually offered to watch him (he's 80 and doesn't usually do that alone w/out my mom), so I am probably going to work a short day to relieve him early.

tgrimes What a sucky night. I’m sorry. I’ve never done gummies. I’ve given the zarabees with melatonin and I have the drops. Not sure if the mg, but the one I have says an adult dose is 20 drops. I give M 12-15 and M2 8-10. I think I’ve noticed more kids melatonin products at stores.

Hi. I’ve been at work. It’s been slow, but I’ve also been looking at paint all day. I don’t know what I want to use in my common areas and I’m overwhelmed with choice. I think I may take a mental break from looking at paint this weekend and start fresh next week.

My officemate left like an hour ago to go to the doctor. She was coughing and sounded horrible, etc. etc.
She just got diagnosed with flu.
I swear if I get flu I'm going to be so fucking pissed.

Why do people come into work like this? Seems like a common issue at your office. Even though you don't drink, tonight may be the night for a small glass of some red wine... |

After basically getting yelled at by the fuck-wit office manager because Cadence's after school care program was closing early due to the weather, I will now be leaving even earlier because they will not be open at all today. Honestly, after her little outburst I'm ready to walk the fuck out of here and never come back. She sucks as an office manager and needs to be eliminated.

Had a good check-up at the dentist, and I loved the hygienist I saw--she was so personable and fun. So I can check that off for another 6 months!
I brought CFA home for a late lunch, now just waiting on the bus. It's beautiful here this weekend so hopefully we can get the kids outside a good bit. DH had C out earlier for well over an hour, she is enjoying her new bike.

Hi everyone, TGIF!
MH left on Wednesday, got to his destination and is all settled in. I was off for the last couple days to get house in order, did a few last minute things, and most importantly changed all my bedding. The sheets I got over the holidays are absolutely divine and I starfished all night long, so nice.
We're in a deep freeze for the next week or so and it's so, so awful. Brrrrrrrrrrr

I am so tired I can barely deal. I haven't been sleeping well for a while, then 2 nights ago S was up sick. Last night I took a decongestant b/c I've had this cough I think is from congestion and my ears are so clogged I can barely deal. Anyway, apparently one of the less common side effects is insomnia.
Guess who didn't sleep more than a few 20 minute stretches last night... This girl!!!
