Catching up, but I had an N13 dream last night! @ladeedah was in my area so she asked to come over. So when I went to open the door the person looked nothing like what I believe ladeedah looks like. She also was topless in the process of getting dressed and gave me a hug while still topless and it was super awkward. Then I couldn't figure out who she was since she clearly was not ladeedah. And she was really annoying and bossy. I was beginning to think she wasn't part of our group at all but was an imposter! I was skimming and missed the dream part. I was both jealous that you got to visit since she’s awesome but also confused by the nekkidness and the attitude. |

Work was weird today. Long story short a task that had finally been taken away from me and two others a couple of years ago is now being put back on us after we were promised just two weeks ago that it wouldn’t. Today me and my work BFF met with our supervisors together, since they are both also the head of the court unit, to discuss. The third person was so annoyed that she didn’t want to join. My friend got argumentative with them and them back at her. At one point telling her to stay in her lane 😬It was very uncomfortable and I did not feel it was professional at all but had a hard time interjecting to try and get her to shut it. I love her but sometimes she can be a bit passionate about things. I was able to cut in and get back to the facts of the issue and compromise but I didn’t like that we were lumped together. Everything ended up good but I still feel a bit uneasy.
I also feel guilty because I did ask my supervisor later to make sure I was professional. I felt I was, but given how heated things got I wanted to check and was hoping it would help me feel more at ease. She said that I was absolutely professional with a tone that indicated my bff was not. I feel like, in a way, I pointed out that she was not professional. And even though she wasn’t, I don’t want to throw her under the bus more.
I did debrief with my friend after and she agreed it got heated but felt like that was ok given her relationship with her supervisor. She’s been there 11yrs vs my 3 so I need to trust that she would know where the line is I guess. I told her I was about to crawl under the couch since I’ve never been in a meeting like that with a boss. She laughed and said she could tell so we ended good too. I just hated the whole experience.
So that’s my brain dump for the night!

wedding yeesh, sounds awkward! I would feel the same as you. I’ve had colleagues speak to our mutual bosses in ways before that really shocked me, I don’t care how tenured or ‘safe’ in my position I feel, there are just lines I can’t cross. Hopefully things are smoothed over and will settle down now.

Yikes. wedding I’m sorry it went way left. I would have probably felt the same in your shoes. There is also a line I’m not willing to cross when it comes to bosses. My old manager did want to be everyone’s “friend”, but there was still a level of respect I would have if I did have an issue to take up with him. |

This is so random, but.....Does anyone know when all the lightweight puffers at GAP sold out? I was waiting until the after Christmas sales to buy one for M for the end of this year and next and I checked shortly after New Years and I don’t see any. Not one and they had like 3 different colors I think.
I know... random, but it blows my mind that the jacket is gone from the website. I can remember them being on sale well in to spring previous years. I need to start looking for an alternative because his current coat is starting to be snug.

It was an interesting day at The Park. C had a blast. I just finished making a PowerPoint to convince my boss of something she wanted to do back in December but the timing was wrong then and now she doesn’t want to do it. Ugh! We need to do it or it’s going to screw us over in June.

Check gap factory. I just saw them on gap’s website yesterday. So weird. I just checked after I posted. That day they didn’t even have them posted, now you can see them, but when you click on it it says they are sold out. That day I also checked gap factory and nada. I thought maybe it was because this is the first year I had to shop big boys, but I checked toddler and they don’t have any either. Maybe they kept inventory low this year. I hate it when they do that. If you’re sold out, don’t put them on the damn website for me to click on! |

I would check in store to see if they have any left. I bet they can check other store’s stock and have them shipped to you too. We don’t have a Gap here. We have a gap factory, but last time I was there they only had the max puffer. Lame. Does target have any that looked like the gap ones left? |

lahdeedah C just outgrew her coat, too 🤦🏻♀️ I found one at Old Navy, their puffers usually get good reviews if you haven’t checked there yet. Also, Class Club at Dillard’s had a cute reversible puffer this winter (one side was red, the other was navy ‘aquaflage’). B loved it but I wanted something heavier for here. I think most of their coats are on sale.

I ordered a skirt and dress from Loft and added two things that were a maybe to get free shipping. A week later I get an email that “they searched everywhere but are out of my size”. So then I was stuck with two maybes that I had to return! |

lahdeedah from a link someone posted here, we got the amazon puffer for him and I couldn’t be happier. We got the heavyweight one bc New Jersey winter but I’m sure the mid weight is good too. It has the thumb holes which he loves

lahdeedah Check the zipper if you get one at old navy. I got my oldest one- so cute I love it- but the zipper gets stuck almost every time she zips it.
