Morning!

We had B’s Student of the Month assembly at school today. I really do love this little school, They’ve set the bar high for the future. I’m going to start volunteering in B’s class once a week starting next Tuesday and I’m excited to see the kiddos in action😊

We stopped at Target afterwards for a gift for his classmate’s party today, and now C and I are home. I’m trying to rest my shoulder without much luck. This afternoon we have speech, the party at Build A Bear, and I think we’ll go out to eat since we l’ll be over by the mall.

I owe everyone thank you’s for the cards, too. I ordered early and the card exchange completely slipped my mind, y’all were so kind to keep me on your lists! I’ll do better next year, pinkie promise.

I got cards, too, and loved them. So did the kids. Thank you, everyone. I wasn’t great about getting ours out until pretty late this yea. Next year should be a little smoother, I think.

X was so adorable this morning. Such a good brother. Poppy got upset about getting in the car and he cane over to pet her head and tell her “it’s okay. We love you, Little Queen. I love you, Baby Sister.”

Appt went great. I got to see baby on the handheld ultrasound again. It was moving like crazy, which was cool. I told my OB that I’ve had fevers the last few days and about my symptoms so she decided to run a flu test. That came back negative so I’m just going to keep it moving with treating it like a cold.

It’s actually another as needed position. I’m hoping for 1-2 more guaranteed work days a week. If I can have at least a 2-3 day work week, I’ll be happy. As of now, my only guaranteed work day is Friday and I fill in when needed.

How wonderful! Congratulations again to be. I love dropping into the school. I think I’ve only done it two or three times but I love watching the kindergartners in their natural habitat. They’re all so busy (in a good independent productive way). They have all of these different things that they can be doing and each one is really focused and engaged. Josie‘s teacher is so wonderful at managing and challenging them, but she is quite a bit older. I do have a tiny heart palpitation that she might retire before Charlie gets there.

The news has been a bit scary for me lately. I don’t usually let it get to me. Luckily MH was not near the attacks yesterday. My friend’s husband was at the base that was attacked, he got out safely and called her but she hasn’t heard from her all day today so she’s worried. I spent part of today at her house. Hopefully that was the worst of it and things settle down now.

Last night I was so exhausted and DD told me to go to sleep and she would put the little boys to bed for me. DS1 followed that up with “hey mom, think you can make me bacon before school tomorrow?” C slept well and was good to go to the sitter today so I worked.

In lighter news, my dad is coming in the morning to stay with T and DD for an hour and a half before they can go to school while DH is away. I forgot to read to T last night so I told him to read with pop and have pop sign his reading log. I take it out after school today to find instead of signing his name, my dad forged mine! My dad’s handwriting sucks so it looks like T tried to sign it himself.

Catching up, but I had an N13 dream last night! @ladeedah was in my area so she asked to come over. So when I went to open the door the person looked nothing like what I believe ladeedah looks like. She also was topless in the process of getting dressed and gave me a hug while still topless and it was super awkward. Then I couldn't figure out who she was since she clearly was not ladeedah. And she was really annoying and bossy. I was beginning to think she wasn't part of our group at all but was an imposter!
