MJ was up until 1am and is already awake 😴 I'm exhausted. We didn't go to bed until 2:30.

Morning. Happy New Year!
I’m at work. We have a few patients that I’m hoping we can knock out and be out of here at 10.
I have a few errands to run when I leave and we are going bowling with M’s friend and his family later. I’m hoping I have time to make dinner before we go.

Morning and Happy New Year, friends!
We did not make it to midnight; I was the last one up and dozed off around 11 😴
We had French toast casserole and bacon this morning (with a mimosa for me). DH headed out for a flight and so far the kids are mostly entertaining themselves with Legos. I might do some more purging after I get breakfast stuff cleaned up.

flamingo purging is my favorite activity! Yesterday I purged the playroom for the 2nd time in a month! I have a friend stopping by later to pick up a bunch of stuff I’m passing on to her! peachsmama I hope you can squeeze in a nap later! I only made it to 10:30 last night. I was never even trying for midnight 😂. S was up at 5. One day she will like to sleep in, right?

Morning. Hope all of you had a lovely evening. We faked New Years for the kids around seven, got some tiny fireworks & sparklers that Dh lit for them to watch, they loved it. Dh and I actually made it till midnight (Yaay for binge watching shows), watched some fireworks & went to bed around 1. Half an hour later, I got a colic, I’ve had them 1-2 a year since I was 10 or something, it is the worst pain ever and there’s nothing that can be done. They usually only last a few hours, so thank god for that. My parents also rented a bungalow in the area so they stopped by for coffee & walks, which was nice. Dh took the kids to the indoor play area and I’m running a bath. Sad that we didn’t win the lottery last night, I could make this lifestyle a permanent one .

I was really looking forward to sleeping since the kids were gone, so I of course slept terribly. Lol.
I’m going to try and get as much done as possible before we get the kids. I already purged toys and now I need to reorganize some areas.

This was a first--the entire family made it to midnight. We watched Toy Story 3 then played Uno while watching Indiana Jones. Cass got upset around 11:30 and said she wouldn't make it to midnight so we did an early celebration and they got ready for bed. They slept out in the living room so I turned on the countdown and there was a minute to go.
Not sure what's in store for today. We had a nasty wind storm here and if it's over I might see if there's somewhere I can take the girls to play in the snow. More than likely we'll just hang out and play board games.

I don't necessarily do resolutions. More so plans like nam2013. I guess if I did do a resolution it'd be not to break any toes in 2020.

Happy New Year!! I did NOT make it until midnight, but I didn't expect to. I woke up early to run but once again my stomach was in knots so I eventually fell back asleep until Col came barrelling in around 7:30. We always go to our favorite breakfast place (which guster is familiar with) on New Year's morning and we've been laying low since. DH is napping upstairs and I've been trying to figure out the Rocketbook I won at my work Christmas party, while refereeing the boys. I need to run at some point, but not much else. Speaking of purging, I was on a binge breaking down all the cardboard in the house when my Mom called. That call led me to clean out my closet for the second time in 2 weeks. Apparently cleaning and pairing down is my preferred way of de-stressing.

Morning, Happy New Year friends!
Our party with the neighbours was fun, the kids played and were lunatics of course and we drank and played board games. Queen J made it until 10pm! We came home and put away all the Christmas decorations while we watched NYE celebrations on tv.
Today we’re going to take down all the outside decorations then maybe take the kids skating this afternoon since it’s gorgeous out.

Aside from the running stuff I mentioned yesterday, my resolution is to work on balance. I already feel pulled in so many directions and like there's never enough of me to go around. And with things with my Dad, I need to be very attuned to how I deal with it. When I'm under a lot of pressure, I tend to draw into myself and push everyone away. I need to watch myself in these next few months and I already promised DH that I would see someone if I need to.

Happy 2020!! MH, G1 and I all made it to midnight!!! 🎉 .... Then he left for the airport at 3:30 am. Lol. Stopping in FL to see his daughter and then off to Iraq. trtlcrzy I just saw your question from yesterday. My notifications aren’t working suddenly anymore. So, He’s going to take the course to get his real estate license and this rotation overseas. And then planning to get his brokers license after that. Hopefully we can start working on an exit plan by next year... I wanna pay off everything aside from the house before he’s back. If you would have told me 10 years ago we would still be doing this I don’t think I would have survived lol. I’m excited to see how many swimming clients I will have this summer- and hopefully that business will grow quickly. And of course I can always work as an RN- I hope to find something with nursing once Letty is in Kindergarten. Possibly before if I can find the right preschool. Anyways... I’m trying to stay positive. With the climate right now in Baghdad I nearly had a panic attack this morning when he left. I almost never cry or worry about his safety but I was full on freaking out. I had to get up and watch TV when he left for a bit before I could go back to bed. Okay sorry that was a lot!

Is anyone making resolutions this year? Plans yes, resolutions no. Are you? Kind of the same. This will be a big year with the move and DH deploying again (his first since we’ve had kids) so surviving that is the name of the game. Smaller scale, I really should drink more water 😂

Hugs sands42; I was thinking about y’all this morning, DH and I were taking about the embassy being overrun and I saw we have more troops going in. Prayers for your H and I hope this will be the last stint over there.

Happy New Year! It's almost noon and we are still in PJs. I'm drinking a mimosa playing with L and her dollhouse.
My parents got us new sheets and duvet cover as part of our Christmas gift. I put them on our bed yesterday and they were so nice and fresh and cozy....til L climbed into bed at some point and peed all over everything. Thanks, L.

So I was remembering wrong. joelies my mom said they will most likely put in a pluerix catheter to drain the fluid. It will stay in place so any time he fills up they can drain it. They can even teach your mom how.

Hello ladies. I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast which was delightful. We are just planning on hanging at home today. I got a bee in my bonnet to put shelves in the linen closet downstairs so DH is borrowing a table saw from a friend and then we will get that done.

Cassidy: "'God' is a bad word." 😆 My kids say this all the time because MIL always says, "Oh my God" and L picked up on it so we kept telling her not to say it and use gosh instead. Apparently now they think it's just bad to say.

sands42 I’m sorry. Hope the time goes by fast. tgrimes Not cool. I haven’t been sleeping well for a few weeks. I bought zzzquil to see how that helps. I’m waiting for the right night to take it. Maybe this weekend. Dinner is done and I need to finish putting away all the Christmas stuff before we leave for the bowling alley in a couple hours.
