So my dad gave me a large sum of money. He said my siblings always ask for help and I never do, so he wanted to give me something, too. Okie dokie.

As much as I want to take this money and do something fun, I can’t. It will most likely be used to pay bills and/or house stuff. You know... adulting better and all that. 🙄

We are laying low today. Letty was up all night crying with an earache. So that was fun. We were planning on going to a family friendly brewery event tonight but I think we will probably stay home now.

MH leaves tomorrow 😭 He lost his spot on Africa for now so it’s back to Baghdad again. I’m really hoping he can take 3-4 month leave for the summer while I’m teaching swim. I will be making a decent income so it won’t deplete our savings. I’m teaching at my parents so it’s not a big deal if I have to bring the kids- it would just be super awesome if we can make that work instead.

Aww, what a sweetheart. Maybe you could hold out a little bit to treat yourself/family and put the rest toward the boring/practical stuff?

Hahahaha it’s a bungalow park, there’s a little supermarket, a restaurant, playgrounds, indoor play area and an indoor pool. It’s situated right in the middle of a national park, it’s the Netherlands, so nothing like a national park in the USA, but still pretty!

Hello! We were supposed to go bowling with friends and have everyone over after but MH and I are under the weather. Thinking we will still bowl to get the kids out but pretty sure we do not have it in us to entertain after!

Just found out that the science event had advance ticket purchase and it’s sold out. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I should have researched when I found out about it. Oh well.

And my SIL just texted that she got a flu diagnosis. We were all at MILs over the weekend, so that’s great. Her little one had it two weeks ago. Let’s hope our flu shot does it’s job and fights it off. Guess I’ll be chugging vitamin C, elderberry, and taking vit D and in hopes to give my immune system a boost.

Hello. I did a huge grocery trip this morning then came home and we went out to lunch (this tends to happen often). I’m now baking a second batch of brownies because after I put my first batch in the oven, I noticed they were processed in a facility with tree nuts and both my sister and my nephew are allergic. When they are done baking, I’m going to make meatballs and chocolate covered strawberries. We are going to my sister’s tonight. As much as it’s been nice being off, I think we are all ready to get back to our routine. DH is traveling Tuesday-Friday next week so I’m going from doing a whole lot of nothing, to complete chaos.

Ugh. I got a similar text from SIL last week, shortly after we left...my niece was dx'ed with flu. So far we all seem OK, I read online that you're contagious when symptoms appear so I'm hoping since my niece wasn't showing symptoms when we were there, we're in the clear. Hopefully that will hold true for y'all as well!

Frozen 2 was so good. I even teared up near the end but I’m going to blame that on pregnancy hormones. Right now the girls are napping and then after they wake up I think we are going to head over to our friends house. I’ll bring my work clothes there so I can just go from there. I am doing lit’l smokies in the crockpot so that’s ready to go.

We saw it for the birthday party chrisy01 held for L, and loved it. Such a cute movie!

lahdeedah That’s so sweet of your Dad. Make sure to enjoy some of the money, even if that means putting it in savings for you to stare at and then be able to get something you really love one day.

I have a farm property that I own with my brother and Mom, we rent the pasture to a local farmer for his cattle to graze on and I get rental cash a couple times a year, I love having some cash thats all mine. I use it for botox, laser hair removal and bomb ass supermodel coats 😉

vino I have not seen it. I actually haven’t seen any of the newer ones - only the first 6. Our friends saw it, though, and though it might be better to wait till it came out on tv to watch it at home. They said it might be too much for S. Did B see it with you? Is it ok, do you think?

I went and saw it yesterday and it is great! It is darker than The Last Jedi since it’s wrapping everything up, the fighting scenes are awesome both the saber ones and the jets in the air. B came with me and he was unfazed at a couple of the darker scenes, it more the length of the movies that get to him I think, I try and get there about 20 min after the show start time since the previews are so damn long. I definitely recommend watching The Last Jedi before this one, it very much seemed a continuation.
