I just received a very carefully worded email from the immunologist. Basically he doesn't think any additional testing is warranted at this time and the testing to date has been appropriate. Oh, okay fucker.
A few minutes later I received another email saying he reviewed my messages with the nurse and put in the orders.
Looks like I'll be cancelling my appointment with him after these labs come back and find a new immunologist.
Jackass.

Confession on behalf of my husband. For some godforsaken reason he used one of those long lighters to scratch his head (because he couldn't just use his hand???) and then managed to pull the trigger. He burned part of his scalp and his hair. Luckily he has a crewcut but he had to go down to summer length in the middle of winter. I told him I don't have the energy to do safety evals with him so he better get his crap together.

She did order some testing but I don't think H falls into her area of expertise anymore. She did tell me that if I ever had any issues again to reach out to their office so I'll probably wait until the labs are done and then call her to get me into the head of immunology. If that doesn't work, I'll look outside of Texas Children's Hospital. |

OMG inthekitty , I'm glad he's ok but I am laughing. What is it about guys and fire?? DH recently singed off all the hair on his left arm while doing something with the gas grill. It was baby bottom-smooth for awhile, then had a very fine stubbly layer of hair for quite some time. Gave me the creeps to touch his arm. |

Hope the pink eye clears up guster! Pink eye is more of an annoyance to me than what your h seems to think it is. I'd take that literally any day over a stomach bug, flu, hfm, etc. jewels that sound so painful, I hope he can get some relief. flamingo exciting about the house!! 2 hour delay for everyone. MH had planned to take the day bc we were supposed to day date to shop and eat a fancy lunch. Instead, we urgent cared this morning ... for both kids. Charlie has pink eye in both eyes— his are gunky so new drops for him. We were told it’s bacterial. Josie eyes are both red, but no discharge so we were told that’s viral and no drops are necessary (although they gave us an rx Incase it changes) But I don’t know if she she needs to stay home tomorrow bc she CANNOT STOP RUBBING HER EYES, regardless of a thousand reminders, and I think pink eye is pink eye (bacterial or viral) and therefore still contagious. MH is taking the drops, preventively (his words.) When I questioned if I too should take the drops he told me they don’t work preventatively. So then I asked why he was taking them and he said bc his eye feels funny. Lord help me. Day date turned into a pharmacy run, me dropping my car for new tires (bye bye monies)and a takeout lunch of five guys and Taco Bell. I would give her benedryl or something to help with the itching. |

Busy day of meetings for me..I meant to get to the post office but didn't make it. Hoping to get our cards out asap.
K is doing well with my MIL, apparently she knows her name bc she said she keeps calling her N, but when she remembers to call her by her name she perks up. Ha, poor little sister.

Took C for his 2 year well visit and he has a double ear infection. I have so much to do by like tomorrow.
We had snow squalls today. I never heard of them before today. During the first one, my sister was stopped at a red light and a work van turned too fast and hit them head-on. She had her 3 kids with her and thankfully no one was hurt. A police officer was at the light opposite of her and witnessed the accident. She said her car isn’t even too badly damaged so that was good. She’s had a shit year so she said it was a way to end it.
