Morning
I already got a call from B's school that he has a fever and says his tummy and ear hurt.
Hope your days are going better than ours!

Oh no jewels! Hope he is feeling better soon. There has been an awful stomach bug going around here, guess it’s the time of year 😬🤢😷

Yeah, my gut is it's not really a stomach bug but all connected to whatever's going on with his head. But who knows.
He was healthy for about 48 hours. I guess I should be happy for that.

Morning,
DH took C to school, so I’m still in pjs. I really need to get up and motivated though. B’s class won a ‘pajama day’ for today so he is excited about that. Thankfully it’s fairly warm out so I think he’ll be ok weather-wise.
I went out for dinner and drinks with a friend last night; we normally do stuff with the kids and/or husbands. I know I’ve mentioned her before but she is someone I can take in doses. 2.5 hours was too much 🤪

Today was the first Tuesday/Thursday that I wasn't pulling my hair out trying to get out the door on time with both kids. It's a Christmas miracle!

Cadence was in tears this morning over her stomach hurting. Then she would be fine, then mention it again. I'm going to veer towards she's constipated, but then I worry that I'm not taking it seriously enough. Her teacher knows about it because it has been an ongoing issue for the past couple of weeks. She complains for a few days, then stops, then complains again. I offered to take her to the doctor, but she doesn't want to miss girl scouts tonight, so she said she would go to school. I'm going to push water and fruit. Now that shes eating the school lunch she isn't eating as much fruit as she was before. It was happening last month when we went for her well check and her doctor said if that's the only symptom, then we wait and see. It's just stressing me out because I'm over here thinking what if it's her appendix or she has a perforated bowel or some shit.
ETA: I have my gastro appt this afternoon, maybe I'll ask them what they think.

Morning. I woke up with a massive headache and reset my alarm for an hour later, only to find schools cancelled and daycare with a 2 hour delayed opening, so I went back to bed again. Colin eventually came in and crawled into bed, which is not something we've ever really done but after yesterday, I was happy for the extra snuggles. I did talk with my brother last night and DH has been great, so I suppose I can't ask for much more than that right now. It was nice to get a little time to play this morning though - Chase and I did a puzzle and the boys basically sandwiched me in on the couch for a bit. Not a terrible way to start the day. I decided to come into the office after dropping off Chase though, I figured I needed the distraction. I have tons of meetings and had promised to help test for one of the squads since their QA is gone until January. The day should fly by.
In completely unrelated news, I talked to DH about my desire to replace our treadmill with a decent one and he completely put the kibosh on the one I was eyeing. He wants me to increase my budget and pick out something more commercial grade. DARN.

My sister just went through this with her youngest. She'd been complaining off and on about her stomach hurting. She took her to the doctor and they did an xray and she was full of poop. I'd start giving her miralax daily for the next couple of weeks &/or fiber gummies.

Sorry @klongroia11, that's stressful. Is she going somewhat regularly? No, this kid is super regular, but mh does the butt wiping, so I don't know how much she is actually going. She skipped Monday entirely, which is very unlike her, so I made her sit this morning and she went a little bit, but said it hurt. That's why I'm leaning towards constipation.
Thanks tgrimes I'll get her started on the miralax tonight.

Dropped J at school and then ran some Christmas present errands. I have nothing for my 3 nephews. My sil won't give me any ideas but doesn't want toys... her parents buy them every membership possible so I'm at a loss.

These were just recommended to me and I think they look fun. I have completely over bought I have them on my list for Charlie’s birthday.

I woke up to a nightmare scenario of X so caked in poop that I could barely peel off his clothes, and when I did, it spilled out like water and somehow managed to splatter the walls.🤢
This morning was an adventure. I just got back from drop-off to discover that my hair had red Elf cereal stars, and my sweater was covered in marshmallow goo and yogurt.
But, the kids all cooperated really well.
Now I need to figure out how to tackle this biohazard.

We are all home today. Closing for ice. The kids are playing “chip store.” It has been going on over an hour now. I can’t figure out what the rules are. I know they sell bags of chips but also money? Today is the 10th anniversary of my moms passing, so I’ve been spamming my Instagram stories with old photos of her for my cousins and family friends.

My Mom has been giving me some more info and apparently my Dad's tumor is wrapped around his coronary artery and has already spread into his lymph nodes to some extent. So it sounds like the biopsy is to determine if it's small or non-small cell cancer and then they will do a PET scan to determine the staging to determine what they can and can't do. As upsetting as it all is, it makes me feel a bit more in control to have more info. Even if the info is kind of terrifying.
