MH got the outdoor lights up yesterday. I want to get a Christmas tree for the porch. Thinking we will do the inside today...except the tree which we will probably do next weekend. A couple years ago we out it up too early (or just got a bad one) and had to take it down before Christmas because it was a huge fire risk.

Morning!
Kids slept til past 7, bless them, so I got up so DH can have a morning to sleep late. Our elf arrived last night with Christmas jammies, so I have 23 more days of moving him around to look forward to.
Cold and rainy here so I think we’re going to take the kids to see Frozen. Supposedly our sitter is coming tonight so DH can take me out for my birthday, but since this is the THIRD attempt/date change (her issues, not mine), I’m not counting on anything til she’s on my doorstep. We like this girl but man...new year’s resolution, find another sitter to use until we move.

We are expecting a lot of snow. I’m going to brave the crazies on the road this morning before the flakes start l to go get a manicure (priorities)
We have the kids’ Mrs. Claus boxes all set, and I’m happy to pass them along this afternoon bc I know it’ll keep them busy for a bit of time!

I don't know when we can go down there - the boys (DH included) burn just thinking about the sun so the summer is not an option. Tickets are ridiculously expensive over April vacation because of everyone going to Disney World. Other than pulling Colin out of school - which I really don't want to do once, let alone once a year - we could go over Christmas. But I hate that idea, to be honest. |

Stay safe, guster! I have to get to Weehawken this evening via public transportation (I think a train, a subway, a shuttle bus and a ferry will get me right to my hotel) so I'm hoping the weather holds out. |

That is strange joelies...we just left my parents this morning to head home. But I had strict instructions to wake them to say goodbye if they were still asleep when we were headed out. And I see them far more often than you see your parents...so one would think in your case. |

DS is playing the championship game at his tournament right now then hopefully they will beat the snow home. The parents of one of his teammates had their car stolen from the hotel last night. Last tournament we were at there, a mom had her purse stolen right off the chair she was sitting in. Guess we better stop playing this tournament.

We are headed home from STL. I wanted to get on the road because the wind is supposed to be brutal today and I wanted to try and get ahead of it. My Jeep is so boxy that the wind really pushes me around on the road worse than any other vehicle I’ve had.

H came in my room at 4:10. I took him back to his room and patted his back through 2 rounds of the glow worm and then left. He popped his head up but fell back asleep for another 2 hours.
You can tell he doesn’t feel well. He keeps putting his fingers in his ears but I don’t see any fluid or anything yet. We had a false alarm run to the trash can for puke, so now I’m on vomit watch. 🙄

Just burnt a bunch of pancakes for a school project. All the kids bring in a family recipe with a picture of us making them, or the finished product. We don't really have any family recipes that Cadence is involved with other than blueberry pancakes. So, blueberry pancakes it is. The first batch last weekend were a disaster, so I remade them this morning and my stove decided it was going to do what it wanted. I got enough decent ones to feed Cadence and take a picture of her with them. Now I have to fill out the paperwork for it. How was this a kid's project? Ugh.

Never in the house, but I saw him quit multiple times for years at a pop to only find himself in a social situation where he went back to it again. I’ve never tried a (to) vape, but I feel melons would be the very last flavor I’d want to try. A friend from high school’s dad smoked a pipe, and I always like the smell of that tobacco! Ooh, and cloves!! The smell of cloves brings me right back to college. |

If anyone needs the LOL mansion, Amazon has it for 124 today. I went ahead and bought it. My boss had given me an Amazon gift card so I used that and paid the difference. I have no idea where the damn thing is going to go though.
