I’m sure y’all will be shocked to hear that no Christmas lights were done while I was gone. I would leave him with the kids during the Auburn game. Even if it’s just to sit in the car of a parking lot to read. lol. Both kids are actually napping at the moment. At least I think H still is in between coughing fits. This is the 3rd time I’ve given M Sudafed and she’s napped napped every time. |

Omg, I just witnessed the most terrifying thing. Sierra was playing by the stairs at my parents. She was being ornery and not listening when I told her no. Looked at me with a mischievous look, then threw her doll down them and went after it. So I went to get her and she was sitting down on the stairs going down after the doll, but when I got to the stairs she stood up to “get away” from me and went head over feet to the bottom from about 8 steps up. I saw her body bend in in ways I didn’t know possible and she probably tumbled around a full 3-4 times. It was awful. Scared the shit out of me. She cried for about 5 minutes but other than a rug burn on her leg, she seems completely fine. But in the moment watching her I had the worst case scenarios going through my mind.

Oh gosh lfig that IS scary. Glad she was alright! Those are the kind of things that keep you up at night thinking about the 'what if's'. Our kids have always lived in 1-story houses so of course the stairs at my parents' and the vacation house are a huge novelty. The ones in Maine are super steep so we're pretty militant about being careful on them, but both kids have fallen down them on occasion and it's terrifying. |

The ones in Maine are super steep so we're pretty militant about being careful on them, but both kids have fallen down them on occasion and it's terrifying. She is usually...ok...on stairs but with us right there with her and she has to hold on to the rail because of her balance issues. It’s even something they work on in PT every week. The problem was than she has zero awareness of where her body is in space, especially when distracted. And when I went after her she was already in that mischievous mood, so when she popped up in the middle of the stairs not holding on to the rail, it was as if she thought she was on flat ground and took off...then tumbled. |

MH walked around pacing this morning, we talked about setting up the Christmas stuff in the house, I leave for hours running errands and taking B to soccer. Come back and 80% of things are out of storage spread all about the house but nothing is done. And nows he’s left to get gas in the truck which is code for buying vape and probably cigarettes, since he said he was smoking again at this latest course. Eye roll for days. Now he’s going to be annoyed when the kids are in the way of Christmas set up, I could bet money on it. |

I’m currently in the living room with 3 adults and 4 kids. All the adults are asleep on the couch and chairs. The kids are watching you tube videos of other people playing video games. Which seems weird to me. And I just ate my 3rd piece of pie...🤭

So you're saying I need to get Sudafed.... It’s definitely not supposed to cause drowsiness. But M has always been the opposite with drugs. We have C benedryl a couple times for various needs and it always made him super hyper. I was not delighted. |

My parents Christmas gift for the kids arrived yesterday. C and LO put it together thins morning while I put Christmas stuff up and E uncleaned the living room. Warning DD ahead. I want to share this with you all. This ornament represents a lot of feelings. I bought this for my Grandpa July 2016 to give him it at Christmas. However he passed that August. It’s been sitting in a box in my room until today. I decided he would have wanted it out. I’m not going to lie, I cried taking it out of the box and hanging it up. I’ve done a lot of therapy to help deal with my grandparents passing. I don’t know if I’m going to keep it after this year but it’s nice seeing it on a tree. Edit add picture.  |

Well I failed to look at any weather forecasts. We’re about 30 minutes from home, but currently driving through a storm. There is a tornado watch for all the counties surrounding ours. I just want to be home already.

Mrs. Claus' gift was successfully given. Mh took CAdence out to look at the lights, so I was able to put the bag outside the front door without her seeing. She was really excited.
Cute pjs, the Grinch book and movie(original), some hot cocoa, and Christmas crafts.
She never cleaned her room, so her little tree still isn't up. I made sure to put in the note from Mrs. that having all her toys out all over the place is going to make Santa think she doesn't need any new ones. We'll see if that motivates her to clean at all. I'll put out my Dad's houses and stockings tomorrow.

Glad you made it home safely lahdeedah, and LOL to ‘adult better’ I tell myself that approximately 737262 times a day some days That’s special chrisy01, it looks gorgeous in the tree and I’m sure he’s appreciate it being part of your tree this year. While I was doing Christmas decorating today I couldn’t brush this cold feeling and even asked MH if a door was open cause I swore there was a draft, nope all the doors were closed. I swear my Dad was hanging around today, a lot. It was very comforting. |

In case my parents' visit wasn't weird enough, they just left without saying goodbye. I told them I'd be up before they left and I could hear them in the kitchen when I went to the bathroom. They had to have heard me, the house was quiet otherwise. But they left and were in the car already when I came out, so I ran outside to try to get their attention but they drove away.
How weird and I guess fitting.
