MH accidentally spoiled Last Christmas for me this morning, and I thought I’d be annoyed, but it just pushed me to want to watch more terrible Christmas movies.
Charlie and I have errands to run this morning and I promised Charlie a trip to the library (they open at 11– why so late?!?), but I think I see some Netflix in my afternoon.

Morning! Today is infusion day. We went 5 weeks between infusions instead of 4 as a trial/experiment. And yesterday I noticed that already there is a decline in the hand function again. So I will call the dr and I’m guessing he will bump us back to every 4 weeks. It’s crazy to me that just 1 week could make such a difference! But it does!

Morning! I decided to take the day off. My in-laws took C and L last night and just came to get them ready for school and are taking them to bus/school so it's just me and A for the next 3 glorious hours.

Morning!
C is still a mess so keeping her home again. Normally she is over colds after a couple days so this is unusual.
I was really looking forward to having some free time today since DH is flying and won't get home til after 6, but no go.
Now I need to figure out what to do with the 2 packages of iced sugar cookies I bought at Target yesterday...

I got home at 12:30 last night and then M woke me up at 3. She said her throat hurt. I gave her some water and got her back to sleep. When I woke her up for school, I checked her ears, throat and temp. She couldn't keep her tongue down for me to check for spots so I could only see it was a little red, one of her ears looks like it has fluid and the other had too much wax. Her temp was 102. I dosed her with tylenol and sent her to school. Since I have missed the past 2 days, I had to come in today. It really sucks being a working parent sometimes.
She even asked me if I could pick her up in the car pick up line today when school got out because she felt pretty sick. I told her I wasn't sure if I could leave work early. She responded with, "It's okay if you can't mommy. I can just go to after care."
Now I feel like a terrible parent. I don't need hair pats. Just ranting.

Jesus tgrimes - I know you said you don't need hair pats. But you do. This is fucking ridiculous. You need a break. I am sorry. I know you know this, but you are not a terrible parent. You are an amazing mom to M and H. You have had more health shit to deal with in the past few years than most do in a lifetime. I really am sorry. |

You are an amazing mom to M and H. You have had more health shit to deal with in the past few years than most do in a lifetime. I really am sorry. Thanks. I just feel guilty for having to take her to school with a fever...and then mad that I felt it necessary to come into work...and mad that MH can’t ever stay home...and I’m already having to take off for thanksgiving because school is out all week, etc. |

tgrimes I’m not a working parent but I can imagine how hard that is!!! I know you would’ve rather stayed home with her... You’re a great mom and you’ve had to deal with a lot of illness with those little ones. Not easy at all. And how sweet of her to say that... I hope she feels better tomorrow!!

tgrimes, any chance MIL can pick her up? I get the frustration. Mh asked if there were any special days he needed to take off in Dec. since he has SO much freaking PTO just sitting there.  I told him to take off all of Cadence's winter break, so he did. Sorry kid, you have to hang with Dad.

Good news/bad news....the mystery cat that showed up last night belongs to our neighbor about a half mile up the road. It’s name is Felix and he’s been missing since Tuesday. The bad news is that I can’t keep it. He’s soooo sweet. I brought him in and have been snuggling him since MH left for work 😂.

I have eleventy million things to do today. I’m out running errands now. If This cold doesn’t improve over the weekend, I’m taking myself to the doc for abx next week. It will have been over two weeks by then. I believe I have a sinus infection.

I've been productive at work this week so I can take a longer lunch to join Cass at school for her birthday. I can't believe she's 6.  So big. She's super excited. Today we'll go off her whims. I think she wanted to go to the early TKD class so I brought my stuff to work so I can try to get in a little workout while she's there. Then we'll go where she wants to for dinner. I'm glad I can spend it with her this year since I had to be away for work last year. |

Hope M does ok today. a couple of reasons. 1- he just started this job earlier this year and doesn't want to take time off when he just took 4 vacation days last month. 2- He's swamped at work right now and his remote access on his laptop isn't working. Last night he was trying to get some stuff done and couldn't access their system. Their IT department is in England and it's apparently difficult to get connected or something. I don't know. |

We're going to do a bowling party in mid-December but I am sending the invites out earlier than I normally would b/c we have to get RSVP's by a certain date (hahahahahaha, this should be fun). I am all-in on only having to show up with a cake and some balloons. |
