We are on our way up North. It's a 4 hour drive. Please sweet baby Jesus let DS nap, or at least not throw a shit fit tantrum. It will be worth it though! An entire week of relaxation awaits. Where are you headed?

We put the crib together today. DH was less than pleased. DS helped by playing with his train and yelling choo choo. DS did ask to go in the crib, but I quickly pointed him back to his own bed and told him that the crib was for the baby. I'm sure we will continue to have that conversation lol.

The nursery thread makes me feel awful for not doing a nursery for #2, dang. I love everything that has been posted, we just don't have the space to do this. We are in a 3-bedroom townhouse and the spare room has been a playroom for a year and a half. I can't fathom living without it because I don't know what we'd do with DD's toys/where she'd play if we didn't have it. So #2 is going to sleep in a crib in the playroom for a long while, and then they're probably going to share a room for a while until we can sort things out. Womp womp.

Ds3 is really the only one who got the whole nursery thing. All the other boys got a crib in a room lol and this one now gets the walk-in closet 😂 What they'll care about is when they can help decorate when their older.

We haven't done squat for number two. Evicting DD from the nursery was it. We're recycling our old theme so we just need to get the decorations back up since we didn't put them up after we moved. Then it's just getting clothes unpacked, washed, and put away. Maybe I'll get ambitious this summer at some point. Maybe.

I just used the exact same nursery for DD that DS had. Since we were team green with DS it made it so much easier. The nursery is green walled with espresso furniture and Winnie the Pooh themed. #3 will also use it. Though I have yet to figure out what the sleeping arrangements will be when #3 goes into the nursery. He/She will spend the first little bit at our bedside in the baby box. We also only have 3 bedrooms.

Today I realized that I'm three weeks off from when I was diagnosed with PIH last time after weeks of symptoms and rising BP. I've been monitoring my BP at home once every few days (requested by my OB) and it has been on a steady (albeit slow) climb since first tri. Tonight, my legs and ankles are swollen and my diastolic is officially in hypertension range. This might be due to being at derby tonight, but my position lets me sit down and has very little stress, so probably not.
I have four weeks until my next OB appointment, but I think I'll call if this continues for another week or so. Probably better to give OB a heads up earlier rather than later.
TLDR: I'm probably developing hypertension again. BOOOO.

catmom88, I swear I had a similar issue with DD. Gah, I can't remember what it was but it was a cord issue that could have affected the heart. It turned out to be nothing in my case. I am thinking good thoughts for you and LO.

It's almost 1am. Pregsomnia- I have it and I was also just starving so I had a bowl of cereal- I'm still hungry! Thank goodness tomorrow is my day to sleep in. Currently laying on my couch, the tv is on but I don't know where my glasses are so I can't really watch. Maybe I'll turn on a podcast and hope I fall asleep soon.

It seems to be doing its job, so I don't know if it's too late for you to start this regime. Checking in this week with your OB wouldn't hurt! I hope your BP stays down.

I had my first dream about the baby last night. It was a boy. My gut still says girl.

I've only had one half-dream that this baby is a girl, but my symptoms and just general vibe make me think that's accurate.
At this point, I'm more worried about being wrong, not because I don't want a boy, but because it would ruin my baby sex guessing streak.

One week. I've been done work for one week for summer and I'm done. My kids fight all day long. Even outside. I can't do this.

misskilljoy I also had PIH (and pre-e) with my first. I understand the worry and I get nervous every time I check it. I agree with calling your OB. Hopefully it stablizes for you!

paperbagliz, I've been on baby aspirin since 10 weeks. Alas! I think it certainly did its job in first/early 2nd tri because my numbers were better overall. OB said it was never really going to prevent PIH and/or pre-e, it would just buy a bit more time (hopefully).

DS is spending the afternoon/night and day tomorrow with my mom. We are going to run out to do some shopping in a little bit. I'm looking forward to shopping without a toddler (though DH is just as bad sometimes). My supervisor dropped a massive project on me late Friday afternoon and needing a draft tomorrow morning. So far, I'm up to 7 pages of detailed text about our programming and potential future projections. The likelihood of the people who need to read this actually reading it all is zero so I'm trying to organize it with most important, overall info in the first two pages. I've already spent 2+ hours on it, so I'm thinking that it's time for a break. I LOOOOOVE working on the weekends *sarcasm*
Anyway, Ovia told me that baby is the size of a chinchilla today. Hopefully less hairy though.

If my heartburn is any indication, this baby might actually BE as hairy as one. Yay for toddler-free shopping! Tomorrow is my first real day of summer vacation with no one else home, so I'm taking advantage and going to the mall.

Hi friends. I haven't checked in lately because I didn't get the best of news at my anatomy scan and just wanted a breather for a minute. Trigger Warning: The scan showed a healthy baby with all body parts appearing and working correctly. However, the umbilical cord has a 2 cord vessel instead of the normal three. The main concern here is growth as well as possible heart conditions. Unless, the vessel was hiding, we will be sent to a MFM after my 24 week appointment. I will have a more detailed ultrasound and possibly more testing. This was all news to me since I never knew details about the umbilical cord. Any thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. I'm hoping the 25th gets here fast. Sending you prayers for a perfectly healthy baby. Family friends had their 2nd daughter in the early 80s with a 2 cord vessel. She is completely healthy and in her mid 30s now.

I haven't even opened the thread. The nursery will be the same for this baby as the rest. I'm hoping I can get the other names moved into their room - #3 had #1 & #2s names on the walls. 😂 Though we my need to find another dresser.

That is not enjoyable in 90+ weather. Enjoy your day! Heartburn city here too. Like middle of the day, out of nowhere. Baby is also sitting SUPER high. Like my boobs can rest on my stomach when I bend over and I swear my boobs aren't that saggy.
