roloma, hoping it sorts itself out! On the issue, my dad had a big (size of a coin) hole in his heart, and he had lived ages (he was 50) until he needed to have the operation to have it closed. The only thing he couldn't do was go scuba diving because of the pressure, he's VERY physically fit and his been the whole of his life. Myself, and any children I have, have to be scanned at birth to see if we have a hole in the heart also because of my dad. I didn't, DS had a murmur, but it went away on day 5 (thank god) and same will be happening with DD right after her birth

Two people I work with told me about their children having them and repairing themselves over time. It is so comforting. DS1 had a murmur at birth and it was gone by the time we left the NICU 16 days later. (NICU stay for prematurity, not the murmur for clarification) Definitely hoping it becomes a non-issue quickly!

Glad I could help ease some worries. The only reason my dads didn't repair itself it's because it was classed as a big hole, but didn't remotely affect his way of life, until doctors were like well if you do want to repair it do it now or else you'll just get older and it'll be a harder recovery. FX for it to sort itself out!

beefinch she asked if she could get an ice pack 😑. Then when I said "I'm sorry but my child was attacked and we will be seen by a doctor and are leaving" her next words were "is there anything I can do?" No bitch. She apparently apologized to H at some point and that was about it. We have two dogs, both also rescues and have no issues. I'm an animal love myself and would like to see that dog put down. He's sent her BF to urgent care for a bite in the past and has bitten both of them on a number of occasions for reasons ranging from baths, the vet, picking him up when he got loose... I feel bad because he was abused but fuck- don't tell me he's better if he really isn't. We are only there once a year so I didn't know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

roloma I'm sorry to hear about the not-so-great news, but I'm glad that it has a good prognosis. Hoping for the best case scenario for you! Not quite the same, but DS has a PFO. He also has a murmur and a bit of sinus arrhythmia. He is a perfectly happy, healthy, and energetic 3 yo. He sees a cardiologist every year to have an echocardiogram and/or holter monitor, but we actually just got cleared to go to 2 years out and he's never had to have surgery.

roloma I'm sorry you got this news, but it sounds like you've got a good plan going forward. I hope it corrects itself before birth!

I'm sorry roloma, that is tough news to swallow. If it helps at all, I had some similar news with my first that ended up being nothing by the time she was born. It wasn't exactly the same thing.

Ugh. No package here. I called and they said they will open an investigation into the lost package, but I should expect a refund in 7 days if they don't find it. It sounds like it might have been stolen off my porch, which sucks for both of us.
And I am annoyed because I got lots of things in an awesome sale. Now I am probably going to have to pay more because I still want those things.

That sucks thatgolfb. I'm imagining someone being disappointed that they stole a bunch of maternity clothes. People suck sometimes.

Of all the things to steal... But, I earned $30 bump bucks on the purchase and it is within the window to redeem, so I was able to order everything again for pretty much the same price! Which is great. I really needed those new nursing bras. My boobs are barely contained right now.

Does anyone know if Amazon will do price adjustments? I'm getting DH a Echo for his birthday which is the 18th. I'd love to get a deal on it on Prime Day, but I don't want it to be back ordered or something. Could I order now and see if the price goes down? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not sure what they'll do in terms if prime day, but we've used their chat yo get price adjustments in the past. I just used the chat and got $30 in credits to replace an item out of warranty for free.

Well, shit. We had our anatomy scan this morning. On the plus side, everything measured just right and he is adorable. Sadly, he has a hole in his heart (VSD, if I remember correctly). We have a follow-up and consult in a couple of weeks. So much for not being high risk. H and I were initially pretty devastated but I have had time to calm down and am moving forward with a positive attitude. The MFM said that if we had to pick something to be wrong, this would be it. It is common and often times fixes itself before birth or within the first year. If not, it is an easy fix that generally results in no lasting effects. He will likely still be a perfectly healthy, happy, strong boy just like his brother. My damn kids give me a run for my money right from the start. If there is a bonus, I will get to see a lot of his adorable face before he is born! They also did a transvaginal ultrasound to check my cervix. It was long and didn't open with pressure so passed the competency test for now! Stay that way cervix! Hopefully the 17P injections keep doing their thing and keep this baby in as long as possible so his heart can work on healing. I hope everything turns out well. I can imagine that would be scary. Our ultrasound tech said some similar about kinds of birth defects that are better than others. This sounds equally terrifying, but she said organs that develop externally was not that bad.

Anyone else have lower BP? Mine was 86/56 at my last appt, I made them redo it at the end, but no change. mine is usually low if I have an earlier appointment. But I have lower bp on average. Mine is normally low, but it actually made me question it and have them do it again. It was 3pm. I remember it being low with my first, but not until towards the end.

Leaking boobs again. Just my right one lol.
Little wet dots all over my shirt. Don't even care, we aren't doing anything today since I can't leave the house alone with DS.

Extending you another big hug rolomathatgolfb, sorry about your stuff but I'm glad you can get it again for a similar price. Hopefully your theif learned their lesson. All this shopping talk, I might pass DD off to my mom when she gets home from work this afternoon and go shopping alone. That sounds so spectacular.

It's my birthday! It's also my late night at work so I go in late. My aunt woke me up with birthday text messages and then DS wanted cuddles before he left w/dh for school so I'm going back to sleep shortly

Anyone interested in a healthy living type check in? Avoiding cravings, attempts at workouts, things you're doing to stay sane in the second half of pregnancy type thing?
