She looks beautiful! King Philippe of Belgium and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium during the 18th birthday celebration of the Crown Princess in the Royal Palace on October 25, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. Why are all of the people in the back wearing the same outfit? Like her friends wear the same dress like bridesmaids in a wedding? Is this a cultural thing? A royalty thing?

I love, love, love Meghan's outfit today and I much prefer her hair like this. I don't think there is anything suspect about Kate shopping, but I would like to point out an example of how the press treats them so differently. When Meghan's bodyguard reportedly asked people to stop taking pictures of her at Wimbledon, the tabloids had a field day. Kate's bodyguard watches anyone with a phone to stop them from taking pictures, and it's presented like a normal thing. And the fact that the few pictures were taken down by request of KP illustrates again that they do have considerable pull with regards to what does and doesn't get published- which, in addition to making it look like they could help H&M out more if they wanted, brings up whether they allowed the tarmac pictures specifically to fuel the controversy over the private jet.

Yes. Everytime Will and Kate do something it gets excused. Harry said that he flew private because of his kid and everyone called BS. Kate's bodyguards tell someone not to take pictures and actually get pictures down and it is ok because it is for the kids.

Celebrities in the states have gone to great lengths to protect their children from the paps. In this instance, I don't blame a royal for doing the same thing. I'm merely commenting on what was posted about the pictures.

I assumed they do this because of the kids. I thought the same. I thought there was an understanding that they donโt take pics of the kids at non royal engagements

Her quote was comparing Kate & Meghan in regards to bodyguards requesting no pictures though. My apologies for quoting you. I absolutely believe the palace could & should get involved with everything going in the media with H & M. I thought all of us here agreed on that.

I don't like the shade of the sweater with the red in the skirt and I want to stick a few more Bobby pins in her hair and give her some good hair spray. I like the look but it needs to not be falling out.

I think if it were just this instance, it would be one thing. But it's a repeated pattern. Stories come out that Will and Kate are mean to staff, and people excuse it with "they're just trying to be professional." Meghan sends e-mails to staff early in the morning and is labeled Duchess Difficult. Will and Kate have high staff turnover and it's "no one stays working for the royals long" where Meghan loses a staffer that was from the beginning announced to be a short term position and it's because Meghan is impossible. Meghan reportedly skips out on something Prince Charles invited her to and it's "no one misses something they're invited to unless they're on their death bed" while William and Kate skip family Christmas and it's fine because they're entitled to choose where to spend Christmas. Kate wears boring clothes and it's because she's the future queen. Meghan wears boring clothes and it's because she has no style. It's not that any of these actions by Will and Kate are wrong (except being mean to staffers if it is true) but the way it is talked about in the media, and at times on this board, is definitely slanted.
Also, other shoppers pulling out their cell phones is not really comparable to being stalked by paparazzi.

well considering we don't ever get pictures of just Kate out and about I am assuming either she and her guards have an understanding with the media or they are getting pictures and her bodyguards are taking care of it for her. Guess we will never know

Like I said Harry feels that there is a threat with his child and went private and it was 1- called BS and he is a hypocrite because Will and Kate take their kids commercial and 2- It was Meghan being a diva and not wanting to fly commercial

Thereโs actually a lot of pictures of Kate out getting groceries. I think the last time we saw her out alone was right before Louis was born though. And some with Louis in the stroller Again it has been over a year. and I don't count her alone when she has the kids since it was just said that when she has the kids it is ok for the bodyguard to say no pictures. But yes you are right

I think the greater issue is not why these pictures were stopped while others were allowed (even recently at the football match). It is, to me, more about Meghan's different treatment by the press and also many royal watchers as well as the whole "the Royal Family can't stop the press from attacking Meghan" when they control the press around things all the time - they've blocked people from releasing pictures taken of them hunting because it was too close to one of their conservation pushes, William embargoed the press from discussing Rose Hanbury, they've all had their RPOs stop people from taking pictures of them - so to claim they are helpless against the media is just making excuses for their lack of action.

Meaghan looks amazing in the red. Iโm not a huge fan of the different shades of red, but Iโm not a fan of wearing different shades of the same colour in general. The colour(s) looks great on her and sheโs glowing. She has the best smile.

I didnโt bat an eye at the idea that they had pictures of the kids pulled from the media, I thought the UK had stricter laws about publishing pics of celebrity kids but I could be making that up. I thought that was why there are almost no pictures of Archie that werenโt official photos.

I think itโs very different if itโs pics of the kids versus stories about the adults. To me, kids are a nonstarter and it shouldnโt even be a discussion if pictures or stories about them are pulled. To me, you canโt make a good argument why printing it is ok.
It does seem like Meghan is getting hung out to dry with a lot of this, though, and it seems pretty shitty if itโs her extended family thatโs doing it.
