I posted this pic on my new public IG and the pattern designer commented on it telling me it looked great. I feel insta famous now. 😝 I definitely like it better wirh skinny jeans/jeggings than leggings.

Thanks for the rec, I'll check them out! I'm down the rabbit hole for patterns and looking at a bunch of different ones. My current project is a Rad Patterns Choose Your Own Adventure tunic tee made out of sweater knit. It's clearance fabric from Walmart so I'm not so worried about screwing it up on the first try. When it comes to solid knits, I actually like Walmart better than Joanns. Yeah, Joann's is very hit or miss and hard to tell what is what. I used their solid rayon spandex for the peplum top and it worked well. My Walmart has 5 yard bolts of fabric for $5 that rang up as $1, so I bought 3 bolts of super soft brushed sweater knit and 2 bolts of some kind of t shirt-ish poly spandex to play with. For 20 cents a yard, even if it pills up really badly in the wash, it's worth it for the practice.

I made cushions for a bench in our living room (just in time for the bench to move to our entry way and set up our tree). I used old pillow cases for the plain white cover, and the patterened one is left over fabric from my bedroom curtains. They have zippers so I can take the covers off and wash them.

I finished the little outfit for the neighbor's little girl this morning and dropped it off. She was full term and is a week old but still only weighs 6 lbs. She's so tiny! I hope they take a pic when they put her in it. They said she's in premie stuff now and I made newborn so I'm hoping it fits!
