I have a Brother 6000i and really like it. It's a good beginner/intermediate machine and very versatile. Pistol do you have a favorite simple hoodie shirt or hoodie dress pattern? DD loves hoodies and I want to make her some. The peekaboopatternshop.com grand slam has a hood option. You can make it in a regular shirt, tunic, and I think dress length. It also has short, 3/4, and long sleeve options. It’s a raglan sleeve but the raglan is what makes it so easy. And really, I find hoods easier than neck bands if I’m really honest. Oooh that's cute!

Black Panther done-ish. I have a few accessories in mind to make but he’s able to go as is of now. Now to start hacking the pattern for R’s Captain America!

I just need to add the star on the chest and the Avengers emblem on the arm (arms?) and R’s Captain America is done. I’m not overly happy with it but it works and he likes it so whatever.

rainbowsockmonkey, I love the robes! What pattern did you use? I might need to add robes to my Christmas sewing list. 🤦🏼♀️

So I have the costumes done and I’ve put C’s Captain America hoodie on the back burner for now but this is my list of things to sew between now and Christmas. Some stuff needs to be done well before Christmas. I’m starting to think I didn’t start sewing early enough this year. 😬

Oh that looks real simple! Hopefully I can whip a few of those up. Maybe that will be part of their pjs for movie day at school before Christmas break.

It takes me abiut an hour to do the sewing on these, maybe a little more depending on how many interruptions I have. I found that with the sleeve cuffs that its easier to sew those before I do the side seams. By I'm using fleece, and it isn't as stretchy as a knit would be.

The kids are reusing their costumes from last year so I decided to go all out for mine. Started last night and did the finishing touches and mask this morning. My raven mask and wings. There’s a total of 147 individual feathers. It was a pain to cut them out but the movement is amazing.

I got all the girls bathrobes cut out, so i just have to start sewing. I also cut out the pockets pf the 4 bigger ones. The smallest size is 18m/2T, so I'll figure out pocket size when i get that one all put together. Im a little sad that my kids can't model them till Christmas. I dont want to ruin the surprise.

I need to get started on Christmas sewing now. Last week I still had mowing and was working on getting the house cleaned up. I did make my fall pillow cases to replace the Halloween ones on my couch. I sewed up the Christmas ones for next month too but they are already put away downstairs without a pic.

I did some selfish sewing today. I haven’t hemmed the bottom or added the neckband yet (had to cut another one because I cut the first the wrong direction) but should I take this in along the flare? H thinks it flares too much and the more I look at it, I’m starting to agree. Ignore my dirty mirror. I’m washing it tomorrow. And the clothes basket of shit I need to find a new home for. And my H’s mess on top of his dresser.

It seems just a teeny little bit too much flair as a shirt. Unless you are going to wear it with tights and boots then as a dress it should be ok

bobyn, I love it! I need to get started on Christmas gifts. I took a bit of a break to work on deep cleaning the house so that it is ready for the holidays too. I started an IG just for my sewing. Its mostly going to be flat lays and pics that don't show the kids' faces since I want to keep it public. This_is_sew_crazy is the name if anyone wants to follow it.

Here’s the scarf fringe! I’m now working on two knitted pillow covers for a coworker. At least I’m getting paid for this one...

I’m fully down the rabbit hole of sewing clothing and finally learning how to use my serger! I started with a Peekaboo patterns free classic sweatshirt using some post-Halloween clearance Nightmare before Xmas fabrics. It turned out pretty decent for a first go! Then I made some pajamas for my kids using the Peekaboo Toasty Toes pattern. I ordered some buffalo check fabric to make Xmas jammies for the second round, and I’m going to size down because they run big. DD was very excited about the thumb holes and loves the convertable feet. And last night I finished one from a pattern I bought a while ago and haven’t quite felt brave enough to try out- the Gloria Peplum from 5 out of 4 patterns. It’s not perfect, but it fits well and I’m proud of it! Next up is a tunic tee pattern using some lightweight sweater knit I got on clearance. And a kid shirt using the same red fabric as my peplum shirt because DD said she wants to match

Yay Dramaphile! They look great! You might check out Ellie and Mac as well for good patterns. I'm loving some of theirs and every wednesday they do wacky wednesday and pick 6 patterns to make them $1. This week they did one of their coats (The Dutchess) that I've been dying to make.

My current project is a Rad Patterns Choose Your Own Adventure tunic tee made out of sweater knit. It's clearance fabric from Walmart so I'm not so worried about screwing it up on the first try.

When it comes to solid knits, I actually like Walmart better than Joanns.
