Vomited in the shower this morning. Fun fun! Thinking it was possibly from the new drugs, but I guess we'll see.I feel fine now and I only have to take it for 10 days.

klong11 that’s a terrible way to start the day. Hope you are good now. C did awesome overnight last night. We didn’t get a room until almost 11 and they woke us up a lot from then on. He let them do what they had to then laid right back down to sleep. We have seen 3 different residents today. The first and third were pretty positive and made me feel like we will go home. The second one though wanted to put him on oxygen and upped his respiratory therapy. The nurse will be meeting with the attending doctor later this morning and then we will get more information. Poor kid is just trying to sleep but every time he moves, the pulse ox thing falls off and the machines start beeping. I have seriously considered putting it on my own finger to shut it up.

tgrimes, I was talking to my mom this morning and told her I vomited in the shower and that I thought it was the prednisone. Her response was, "My dog takes that." .....Coooool?

klong11 I hope it was just the meds that made you sick. Is it a super high dose they have you on? Or maybe a mixture of everything?

klong11 I hope it was just the meds that made you sick. Is it a super high dose they have you on? Or maybe a mixture of everything? I'm on a sliding dose. 4 10mg pills for 3 days, 3 for 2, 2 for 2, 1 for 2. Plus the nasty cough syrup before bed. Maybe that's what did it. The damn syrup.  |

I can't take a full dose of the cough syrup with codeine, it messes me up and makes me feel awful. I always did like half of a spoon, so maybe half a teaspoon. |

Ugh, not a good way to start the day klong11. kim22 fingers crossed you guys can go home today! The few nights I've spent in the hospital it's always been a frustration to me that the circumstances lead to poor sleep--which is often one of the main things an ill person needs to recover. I understand they have to do their monitoring, but I wish there was a better way that contributed to good rest. |

My parents are flying in this afternoon for the weekend so I'm in last-minute tidying/grocery run mode. I'm planning to cook tonight but I think for the rest of the weekend we'll go out or do take-out  |

Confession: There's a woman at TKD I really don't like. She's in her mid-40s but still has the mentality of a middle-schooler. She kisses ass to the owner or anyone else she views as some sort of power position in the school. She's a bully and a backstabber. I'm about 5 inches and 45 lbs bigger than her. Plus younger and higher belt level. So in other words there's no contest between her and me if we were in an actual fight. Yet every time we spar even though we're told to only utilize about 30% power and I'm more than happy to play nice and slow down to practice utilization of skills correctly, she uses me like a punching bag and hits and kicks me as hard as she can. It never fails that the few times I give her a dose of her own medicine and kick her back harder the instructors yell at me to go easy on her.  A couple weeks ago in class we were doing kick drills where one person was holding a bag and you kick at the same target every time--meaning it wasn't free sparring and it should have been very simple to not miss a huge target--she kicked me hard in the crotch and twice in the boobs. So yesterday was the first time we sparred in a while and I let her have it. The main instructor was on the other side of the room so I kicked her hard several times and every time she tried to wail on me I just shoved her back like a fly. Felt good. |

Our loan officer (is that what they are called?) got in touch with me yesterday and told me that we could refinance for a much lower interest-rate, so I’ve been in a flurry of paper trying to get everything over to them by the end of business day tomorrow. Exciting financial news over here!
Otherwise, not much happening. I’m going to get Charlie outside for the afternoon and then hopefully take a shower!

inthekitty good for you! Could you ask the instructor not to pair you with her due to her inability to listen to instruction? I've thought about it because her behavior is ridiculous. She always shows off for the instructors and frankly her behavior just isn't safe. Yet her daughter has gone to the school for years so even though she just started at the beginning of the year they let her get away with murder. She's known as a "difficult student" by the instructors, yet no one will say anything to her. I never get a chance to talk to the main owner because she kisses his ass so much she makes sure no one gets a chance to talk to him without her hovering nearby. There's a student instructor who teaches most of our classes and I'll say something to him. I get stuck with her a lot because there are not a lot of adults who participate. Yesterday I was mostly partnered with this kid I like to spar with and we work well together, but a couple of rounds I got stuck with her. |

We ended up having a competing company also trying to get us to refi with them so the first company dropped their rate and fees to compete. Lower house payment and paying off the mortgage 10 years earlier. Whoot whoot! Congrats because it's such a nice feeling. |

Morning. Kids are at school and my sister will be taking H for the afternoon so I have a kid free day. Just trying to soak it up while I can.
We were supposed to go to dinner with friends tonight but they had to cancel. I told Dh we’re keeping our sitter and he’ll just have to take me on a date anyway. Not sure what we’ll do, but it’ll be nice to get out do the house.

wedding, can I get your opinion? Our dog hasn’t been feeling well for a couple days. On Tuesday, he vomited several times on the carpet while I was gone, he had been eating grass outside and that’s what came up. Then Tuesday night and yesterday he had the WORST gas.. Followed by diarrhea last night and today. He doesn’t have much of an appetite, he did eat a little yesterday afternoon and I managed to get some probiotics on his food. He hasn’t eaten yet today and his laying next to me with a gurgling tummy. He was just at the vet last week for his annual checkup and all was good. My first thought was that he ate rabbit poop, but now I’m not so sure. Should I take him back in? Give it more time?
