The latest reporting (via NYT as of 21:39 eastern) is that 203 House reps support Impeachment PROCEEDINGS against the *president. Obviously that's different from saying they support impeaching him.

So what’s happening with Rudy? They are setting him up to take the fall, huh?

Wow. Do they just need a simple majority? Would that be 218? I’m not great with math. Just spent an hour or so catching up on this week’s thread. It was so...nice. Just nice. I feel good today. My mom told me today she was a Nixon supporter but she changed her mind after the tapes were released. My reaction was a combination of “holy crapballs you supported Nixon?!?” And “ahhh there’s hope.”

This is an interesting thought.
To navigate impeachment, Democrats need a point person with savvy and credibility to direct political and legal strategy and serve as the face of the effort. That person is probably not a current member of Congress.
He suggests Sally Yates or Preet Bharara

The Senate needs a 2/3 majority to convict. And your mother is far from alone. The country was with Nixon through the hearings and the release if "transcripts" which were later revealed not to accurately reflect the Watergate tapes. It took hard work and hard truths to change public sentiment which, ultimately, changed the Senate math and led to Nixon's resignations. STP could give us a great briefing on Watergate if she so chose but I know she definitely has better things to do 😜

This is such a great point regarding the concept of releasing the "transcript" of Trump's call.
Chris Murphy: There is a big difference between a word for word transcript of a conversation and notes of a conversation taken down by someone who works for one of the participants. FYI.

There is a house on my normal dog walking route that has had a sign for probably 2 years now in front of their house that spells out “Time for impeachment” in symbols like that old game show classic concentration. I’m tempted to leave them a note tomorrow saying - it’s finally time! Cheers!

This guy is going to lose his ever lovin' mind. I'll keep everyone posted. 😂🖕

And speaking of neighbors, the people behind us recently, like in the last few weeks, put a giant ass Trump 2020 flag off the back of their rusted out old pickup truck. It made me so angry I could see it through the trees that separate our property. I hope those people are pissed. Fuck you, turdburglers.

CSPAN callers this morning calling everything till now a "soft coup" and also the Fox News machines churning out what "what about Joe Biden"?
Lets be clear here
INVESTIGATIONS ON JOE BIDEN HAVE BEEN DONE AND SETTLED AND UKRAINE FOUND JOE BIDEN TO HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. PERIOD.

So what’s happening with Rudy? They are setting him up to take the fall, huh? I hope he gets sucked into this. I don't think they'll have to look too deeply to find he's been a busy little corruption bee on Trump's behalf. Trump seems to love using civis to do his dirty work for cover (see also: Corey Lewandowski).

So my early morning precaffeined thought I think in this case ‘corruption’ is the code word. I don’t think he cared about any corruption on the Ukraine side. I think he was trying to use that phrase as a cover for alleged wrongdoing by the Bidens
Also Chris Murphy this morning said during his visit earlier this month that there was confusion on zelenskys part over WHO they should be communicating with. Is it supposed to be the re-election campaign or the embassy or the state department.
I have a feel this initial part is gonna feel a whole lot like the Iran Contra hearings

(R) Virginia 6th - Ben Cline is on now saying that this is all ridiculous and we have work to do on securing a border and gun control.... blah.
Your not worrying about the border. Your looking to send guns to the border to shoot people crossing and you can't control nor handle whats going on any way because all your plans have fallen flat. And as far as gun control is concerned, MoscowMitch is still stuck in his shell so he doesn't have to listen to the arguments about it.
He also wants to know why we haven't waited for the transcript and there was nothing in the Mueller report that will lead to impeachment. Mueller report showed now collusion and now suggestion of obstruction charges (cause this is true).
Also that the Pelosi is being pushed by the 4 progressives (i.e Ocasio etc.)
Also he likes to say he is an attorney. He is touting Trump cut taxes and reduce regulations.
Taxes that will backfire on all of us and regulations that are DESTROYING our earth just to start.

He is also stating that they don't have public approval for approval. THe only place they have a support is the highly partisan judicial committee.
This is just a drama and a farce.

He is also glad Trump went to the U.N. and took to task the "globalists." Apparently the U.N. is always at odds with the U.S. because they don't bend to the will the the U.S.
