I'm dying to know what they have on Lindsay Graham. It's probably some nothingburger like he likes men, and who cares. But at this point I'm guessing that it's something f'ed up, and I want to know!

I went to the fair in PA over the weekend, where I experienced confederate flags, Trump 2020 signs and a t-shirt that read, "Democrats suck." They also played the national anthem over the loudspeakers and everyone stopped to put their hands on their hearts. I didn't even realize what was happening at first and when I did I became uncomfortable. At which point my FIL laughed and said, "You're not in DC anymore." That's for damn sure and I couldn't get back to my bubble fast enough.

What is really making me snicker today is that the talking points that were sent out mentioned, repeatedly, no quid pro quo. It is clear those talking points made it to Graham because he definitely tried to find a way to work it into his tweet. Cool, bro. Now we see openly how you roll.

Zelenskyy: It was great that you were the first one. who told me that she was a bad ambassador because I agree·with you 100%. Her attitude to.wards me was far from the best as she admired the previous President and she was on his· side. She would not accept e as a new President· well enough. . . . . (3/MF) The President: Well, ·she' s going tO go through some things.
Is this... is he threatening her?

Apparently a Republican Senator told Mike Murphy that, if it were a secret vote, 30 Republican senators would vote to impeach.

As expected, Lindsey's leading the charge: Someone needs to tell him we don't use two spaces after a period anymore. 😂

Apparently a Republican Senator told Mike Murphy that, if it were a secret vote, 30 Republican senators would vote to impeach. So 30 Republicans DO have spines to stand up to the boss... but only in private. Cool cool cool. That's fucking pathetic. Either stand up and do what's right IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, or remove yourself from Congress, because you have zero right to be there if you can't do your damn job without hiding.

The recall feature on emails has to be one of the worst human failures in history. It never works and it 1000% adds more intrigue to any situation. Me when I get a recall attempt:

No. I think people get easily confused - she might be thinking it's kind of like a trial where the jury does vote in private. I am glad that the concept of impeachment is being explained almost everywhere. But, I think it's still a long road until/if people actually understand the process.

I don’t pop in here often but I just called my reps office (he’s a no right now) Cunningham - S.C. 1. They were very nice and anticipating a statement today. Hoping it’s a change to yes.

MIL isn't super smart so it wouldn't surprise me if she just doesn't understand that's not how it works. Honestly, she's not alone out there, and that includes people who lived through two separate impeachment events (Watergate - although that didn't go to actual impeachment - and Clinton). This is a very serious and scary step and I understand why the Speaker was hesitant early on. I'm still hoping that this leads to a more or less Watergate process - where the facts seem incontrovertible no matter how partisan a person is.
