Hey from swim. Just left a very awkward birthday party. Birthday girl used to be Cadence's bff, but this party had new friends, from new school and new after care, so Cadence was a bit left out. She took it in stride and played with the birthday girl's little sister, but it was hard, as a mom, to watch it. Mainly because they were playing fine until other kids showed up and Cadence was immediately ditched. "It's ok mom, I like playing with little sister". (She saw me give her a look).

I'm so sorry about the decline in your cat's health guster. It really isn't fair that we only get them for such a short amount of time. |

Mh got over it and j had a great time and was a great guest. Mh even got comments from other parents at pickup about his painting ability and cupcake decorating skills...maybe he is taking the baking show seriously! guster I'm just starting the show myself so don't even know the names of the hosts yet! Figure it's a good background maternity leave show to have on and not need to focus on too hard. |

I got my first grades back today. I’m getting perfect scores! I’m feeling so much better about the class now. I’ve also got 85% of this nexts week’s done as well

Long day of eating and visiting with family. Best part is I got to hold my cousin’s two month old. So little! He was squirmy, but didn’t cry. I didn’t even get baby fever. Woohoo!
We leave first thing in the morning because MH has to be at work in the afternoon.

At swim lessons this morning it was a shit show. The lifeguard canceled 10 min before but they continued. A 2yr old fell in and the mom ran and jumped in to get her. No one attended to the parent or child. The aquatics director was teaching E's class from the deck in full clothing, shoes, and phone in pocket. Chewed out several people and canceled lessons and membership. Now I have nowhere to swim

They have had 3 yrs to get it together. Right now they are only surviving because they are the only pool and ice rink |

It was very warm outside today. We sat at the golf tournament from 10:30ish until 2:30 and my entire left side got slightly sunburnt. I think my lips even got a sunburn. Then we came home and I took a nap. The neighbors invited us over to cook hotdogs and s’mores over their fire and then we ended up being there till 9. It was a good day.

This week has been so busy with my work travel and heavy load waiting at work upon return. I ended up sleeping until 11:30 today! C and I decorated a Halloween house kit which is so out of my depth but it came out pretty good. Tonight we went to a celebration for the Little League team that made it to the World Series. It was fun and C ran into a classmate and had a great time playing.
Now I’m up late watching the new Netflix horror show Marianne. I felt an obligation. It’s disturbing. I also just picked up a book a couple days ago where the main character is named Marianne and met someone with that name at training. It’s not the usual spelling so I don’t come across it much and it’s a bit odd that I have three times this week. I may need to call Snoops psychic.

I haven’t been around but I just read about your cat guster. I’m so sorry. I assume cancer? We’d need an ultrasound or an X-ray to confirm that, but nothing is even slightly off in the CBC/chem panel. The vet didn’t have a best guess. We’re trying a steroid to see if it boosts his intake, and we’re switching food to see if it’s a malabsorption issue. He’s so skinny, but eats and drinks and acts the same (minus his litter box habits). |

MH is taking C and L to a memorial for his grandpa and I'm going to enjoy some sweet sweet alone time while A naps. Wooo!
ETA: that sounded really insensitive. His grandpa died 6 years ago and this is the 10th memorial.

We had a scream fest from 8-12 pm last night and she refused to latch. I think it was gas related but I had let her try her wubbanub for like 2 minutes, so clearly spiraled that she had nipple confusion and I had ruined breastfeeding. She ate overnight and this morning, so hopefully okay. Kids are playing in the basement and just laying low. Not sure what I think we should be doing, but feels odd literally doing nothing. No one is visiting which is fine bc that'd prob stress me out, but for some reason that makes me a little sad. I think I miss my pre-fall mom who would drive herself over, grocery shop, entertain the kids, etc. Obviously she can still visit but we have to figure out a ride for her, which is more than I have mental energy to deal with.

Morning. DH took the girls to Sunday school and I am relaxing until they get back. Our friends just got to move into their new house so after they get home we will go over to see it, I’m excited. I love snooping around other people’s houses. My forehead is burnt from sitting at the golf tournament yesterday and is bothering me, so that’s annoying. This afternoon I’m going to work on finishing up the outside painting, including removing the light fixtures and giving them a fresh coat of spray paint.
Have you guys updated your iPhones to the newest iOS? It’s got some really cool features. My favorite so far is the new way CarPlay shows up in my car.
I also got the digital version of H’s school pic and it turned out really well. She’s got a fake smile but that’s ok.

tallb I’m sorry for the rough night. Anecdotal, but both dd and ds had pacis from day one & ds started with bottles in the nicu and then different ones at home. Both kids were successfully breastfed for 20 & 24 months  . Those first days are so hard!
