Are your kids passively hungry? When C needs food he’ll ask loudly “who is going to get me food?” Often my answer is You are😉

Josie just told me that her STEAM teacher is so clever that she can’t keep her eyes off him. LOL! This is amazing! Have you seen him? I met him on the tour we took in June. He was charismatic and a little goofy. The class is super hands on and full of experiments and that’s right in Josie’s wheelhouse.

I’ve heard of people losing nails and always wondered how do they grow back? Like, does it start from you cuticle just like a normal nail, or does some other process happen? And does it just look like skin underneath the nail?? So if the cuticle fully falls out, the nail may never grow back normally. Also if the toes callouses up while the nail grows back in, it may never fully reattach. Not that I would know from experience...

I met Col's new teacher and I really like her. She's young - early 30s compared to his kinder teacher who turned 60 last year. A good mix of fun but also no nonsense. No wonder he's so damn happy about school.
I had a 5pm video call with the entire product team. Col was already home and DH was pulling in with Chase as we got started. While I was speaking, both boys were trying to talk to me, my MIL showed up (and rang the doorbell), and Col kept sticking his face in the camera. Thank goodness the group has a good sense of humor and knows that scenario was a rarity!

I emailed M's teacher and just asked what he was taught about it because I was struggling to answer questions and thought she could help guide me. That was sil's idea so she wouldnt get defensive. based on her response, he got more from older kids on the bus or at the sitters. Which I cant prevent. I just need to guide the conversation back to the helpers. Which is what she said her focus was on.

I'm over here dealing with questions about how the baby is getting out of me and when I need to get to the hospital..I really need to get that book called "it's not the stork" I've heard about bc I suck at this. Again confirmed to him that it doesn't come out of my mouth 🤦😂

They teach this at Evie's school. She loves it! Which I'm glad because I hated/sucked at science and math. So I'm glad they're exposing them to it all at such an early age.

With the half days scheduled as they are, for some reason it’s the special they’ve had the most, and oddly enough it’s also where the most work has come home (even more than the traditional math and English elements of the classroom). Lots of pictures and drawings about their hypothesis and the results of whatever the activity is and the way she talks about the experiments I know they’re focused on metacognition which I appreciate as a former educator.
